[Somewhere off in the tunnels, there echoes the sound of distant gunfire. Odd - very odd, even for this vile flesh maze. Those who are drawn to investigate will be met with a cavernous space and the sight of two identical young girls, flitting through the air with the grace of some intricate dance. They spin around each other, dodging and weaving, their staves streaming bullets of light seeking out the other. They are equally skilled - none strike their target.

[At this point, they both notice the observer to their battle. The girl on the right instantly dives for her hapless victim while the other shrieks in vain.]

[b: nightmare 2 - the end of the world] Yeah, alright, real subtle. I see how this goes now.
[She rolls her eyes as she steps out of a hallway and into what is obviously an illusion. ...Before them is the Earth. The Earth as she foresees it in her future. What was once verdant, lush jungle is now rotting and decayed; herds of animals dropped dead where they stand; bubbling pools of some nightmarish red-green toxic pollutant.
It is an apocalyptic wasteland.]
The thing that pisses off the Goddess of Nature most. Amateur. You think I don't think about this already every day? You think I don't foresee what's going to happen?
[Viridi steps forward into this nightmare and where her feet touch the ground, small flowers and grasses bloom... that instantly wither and die the moment she steps away. With deliberate intent, she approaches the rotting carcass of what seems to have once been a wild boar and places a hand upon it.]

I know. I know each and every one, and I promise, this isn't anything I haven't seen before.
[...She bends her head, and if a trickle of moisture flashes briefly on her cheek, that's probably just the glare from the sun that's being blotted out by billowing black clouds.]
