(They are heading toward Heavenly blanc themselves when they see Ahsoka talking to the creatures.)

We did not believe the creatures of this world were capable of advanced communication comprehensible outside of their species?

(Is she just engaging in the organic habit of talking to animals as though they can understand? Probably, they think.

Still, best to verify. There is someone here who can talk to plants, though Aerith has stated that the plants of this location do not speak as they did in her world.)

[ ah, legion. ahsoka quirks a smile, resting a hand on top of one of the blurrgs to give it a signal to stop moving. ]

Hey Legion. [ she shrugs, then- ] I'd like to think they understand me. At least a little.

[ though it strikes her that they might not be familiar with this animal. ]

Blurrgs - at least they're one-half that - are normally used for cattle and transportation. They're very intelligent creatures though! I've known military forces in the galaxy to train them as mounts.

(Less advanced lifeforms--animals--are often more intelligent and capable of understanding than fully sapient species give them credit for.)

The other "half" appears to resemble an animal known as a Chocobo.

(They met some final fantasy people and their pets back on Enso.

...Ignis and Gladio would likely both be of help in this location, they think.

They look at the creatures again.)

You are transporting them?

Chocobo. Never heard of them. Must have a lot of feathers though.

[ blurrgs definitely do not. they're more reptilian than avian, that's for sure. ]

But yes, I am. They got a little lost from their pack I think. Didn't see any others around but them, so I'm looking for their group.

They are flightless birds large enough to be used as riding animals.

(Lots of feathers, yes.)

(Even allies do not always desire company, they've learned.)

I don't see why not. Although... you should check with our new friends.

[ she says, gesturing both hands to the blurrgobos beside her. ]

(They turn and hold their hand out to the Blurrgobos.)

[ one of the blurrgobos steps forward, taking more than a few fast sniffs of legion's outreatched hand. then it opens its maw and gives a strong lick to taste. ahsoka just sputters out a good-natured laugh. ]

(Hope that Blurrgobo likes the taste of old keyboard in need of cleaning + old blood and salty sand.

Legion, for their part, makes an awkward noise and pulls their hand back a bit.)

[ it's hard to tell which is funnier, the blurrgobo making something of a grimace in how it gnarls its teeth, or legion's pull back. ]

Haha, ok, think you pass their test. [ what test is that? who even knows. ] Come on, the pack should be somewhere in the woods.

[ and she starts to step forward and lead. one of the blurrgobos follows her dutifully. the second, the one who licked legion, staring in assessment and waiting for them. ]

(They're not really sure what to make of all this, but okay. They attempt to convince the Blurrgobo that stays behind to follow along with them.)

[ an adventure it is! ahsoka falls back to let their new friends be the guides. the one that stood behind with legion eventually picks up pace, though is a little more reserved than its partner who truly leads the group. if they get off track then that's fine - they can just pick a different route until they figure out where the herd is. ]

I hope we can find this group. Blurrgs are really useful - if we befriend them, they can help us out a lot.

(They keep an eye on the less assertive Blurrgobo, to make sure it doesn't fall too far behind.)

Affirmative.

(They chatter.)

You will tame them?

With help. If you'd like to take part?

[ she has no idea how to farm, let alone tame an animal. but she has nothing but time on her hands to give it a try. ]

(They have plenty of experience with farming, and some experience with taming animals.)
