Space travel?
Don't even suggest things like that. I shudder to think of what humans might do if they ever get that far.
So you're an alien. That must be why I tolerate you marginally more than I tolerate other humanoids. [wow it's practically a love confession] ...And so is the blurrg!
Everything makes so much more sense.
no subject
You know, to me, you're the alien. In fact, all humans are! Getting singled out is pretty rude.
[ "ahsoka you don't even really care" "yeah and?" ]
no subject
I transcend such labels.
[Viridi sniffs.]
But you can call humans whatever you like; I don't care.

[ it's the kind of question that seems like a light insult, but her voice is genuine in curiosity. shouldn't something on the level of a spiritual deity be able to take on any shape or form? ]
no subject
[Viridi snorts lightly.]
Isn't it obvious? Turn that around. It's not why we look like humans; it's why they look like us.
We made them in our image. They're supposed to be our surrogates upon the land.
no subject
Ok, you got me there.
Sounds like you're really disappointed with them.
no subject
[Viridi sighs in a long-suffering manner.]
I mean, you know humans. I'm the Goddess of Nature. By the time they're done, there isn't going to be a nature.
no subject
[ she flashes a grim look, knowing all too well what viridi means. ]
But, that doesn't mean some don't try to make things better. My people believed in communing with nature. That everything in the galaxy is connected together.
no subject
[Viridi gives a shrug.]
But frankly, I hear that all the time. And I'm sure it's gonna be a real comfort to me when I weep over the burning Amazon, but somehow, I just kinda feel it's not gonna make up for it.
Oh, some of you tried to make things better? Cool, you still altered the climate of the planet and now everything's gonna die. Too bad, so sad, good effort.
no subject
[ whether that's actually true or not... viridi, she can tell in the short time of knowing her, is very dramatic. ]
Guess it's a good thing you're here to make sure they don't ruin this one.
no subject
Exactly.
[She crosses her arms with a knowing nod.]
It's really my duty to be here and make sure none of you bozos mess this up. I'm envisioning a planet filled with flowers and forests - the perfect world.
You're all probably thinking of strip malls.
no subject
[ there are plenty of people here who would like that sort of thing she figures. but... ]
I like your vision more.
no subject
...See? Like I said. All other species are more tolerable than humans. [A careful eye on that blurgga...whatever thing.] Like, personality-wise.
What did you say you were again?
no subject
[ she smirks, not at all offended. dealing with viridi as one would a small child seems to be working out, for better or worse. ]
If you ever feel like changing form to my people, I'm sure we would respect your wisdom.
no subject
her physical manifestation is ten, which is like, 'average child' ok]
Hm...
Tempting. Maybe the next sapient species I help make will all be orange and have white and blue hair.
I'll call them Humans 2.0.
