Don't even suggest things like that. I shudder to think of what humans might do if they ever get that far.

So you're an alien. That must be why I tolerate you marginally more than I tolerate other humanoids. [wow it's practically a love confession] ...And so is the blurrg!

Everything makes so much more sense.

You know, to me, you're the alien. In fact, all humans are! Getting singled out is pretty rude.

I'm not an alien! I'm not a species that lives on a rock hurtling through space.

I transcend such labels.

[Viridi sniffs.]

But you can call humans whatever you like; I don't care.

Right, the whole goddess thing you were going on about. [ hm... ] Ok, but if you hate humans so much, why were you - ah - born resembling them?

[ it's the kind of question that seems like a light insult, but her voice is genuine in curiosity. shouldn't something on the level of a spiritual deity be able to take on any shape or form? ]

Isn't it obvious? Turn that around. It's not why we look like humans; it's why they look like us.

We made them in our image. They're supposed to be our surrogates upon the land.

Sounds like you're really disappointed with them.

Gee. Is it my scathing tone or is it when I string words together like 'humans are terrible.'

[Viridi sighs in a long-suffering manner.]

I mean, you know humans. I'm the Goddess of Nature. By the time they're done, there isn't going to be a nature.

...I think that can be said for all sentient beings. Or at least those able to ravage the land they live on and wage war for profit.

[ she flashes a grim look, knowing all too well what viridi means. ]

But, that doesn't mean some don't try to make things better. My people believed in communing with nature. That everything in the galaxy is connected together.

I mean, I've got nothing against you. Or your people. I'm not entirely unreasonable; I'm not going to go around slandering species I don't even know.

[Viridi gives a shrug.]

But frankly, I hear that all the time. And I'm sure it's gonna be a real comfort to me when I weep over the burning Amazon, but somehow, I just kinda feel it's not gonna make up for it.

Oh, some of you tried to make things better? Cool, you still altered the climate of the planet and now everything's gonna die. Too bad, so sad, good effort.

Wow. I didn't realize Earth was in such bad shape. [ she sets her hands on her hips, humming. ] I mean, I could tell its underdeveloped due to lacking space travel, but it sounds like the whole planet is razed and ravaged.

[ whether that's actually true or not... viridi, she can tell in the short time of knowing her, is very dramatic. ]

Guess it's a good thing you're here to make sure they don't ruin this one.

It's really my duty to be here and make sure none of you bozos mess this up. I'm envisioning a planet filled with flowers and forests - the perfect world.
