A red beam of light shoots out from the button, hitting Dragonite and engulfing it, then retracting back into the ball; when the light fades away, so does Dragonite.
"It doesn't hurt them. And they're still fully aware of what's going on outside the ball." He crouches down, holding out the ball. "Do you want to try giving it a toss? That will let them back out again." He's sure the boy won't run off with his friend -- after all, as he just said, Dragonite is aware of everything that's going on, so they'll have something to say about it if he tries that.
