[If Red had merely asked, Kaiba could have offered up an itemized list:

I. You don't have to provide food, shelter, water, or
other amenities for playing cards.

II. Cards don't shed, get ill, need shots, require
medical treatment, or tear up your personal
belongings. You also don't have to clean up after
them.

III. No moral ambiguity about using a card in combat. The
last thing a large corporation like his needs is a
bunch of environmental activists on his doorstep.

IV. Cards are not limited to their original strengths
and weaknesses, they can be altered or enhanced by
support cards in the construct of the game, this not
only places more emphasis on strategy it also
ensures that no to games will ever be too alike.

V. More compact and easier to carry. Even with
pokéballs you can stuff a hell of a lot more cards
into a briefcase than spheres. He would like to
use that compartmentalizing technology to improve
storage for non-organic items however
.

VI. Seriously.. someone please stop him...

VII. He hasn't even gotten to gush about holographic
technology yet or how he plans to expand the
programming in the future!

As for the likelihood that this would turn more physical, Kaiba's estimation was low. Especially based on how Blue's reinforcement was so accommodating. Despite having boldly inserted himself into a matter that didn't concern him, the other boy (Ie. Red) had (in Kaiba's opinion) capitulated rather early. A regular paper tiger- he knows the type. As long as you stand your ground firmly, they back down.
]

Go on. Run away with your tails tucked between your legs like the cowards you are.

[Probably shouldn't have said that. Did he amend it or retract it in an attempt to smooth things over. H E L L no]

I'm sure that you think you really got one over on me with that retort but I'm struggling to find the point. [Then to further elaborate] If you're planning on dissuading interest in duel monsters through intimidation tactics two can play that game- and I have had far more success and experience at it than you. [He paused to take in a breath] Besides- depending on the duelist you'd find it hard to live up to those words. [Thinking specifically about his rival here. Yami- can't you just mind crush this little weasel then go back to being 'reformed']

[By this point, Kaiba wants to give the guy a firsthand demonstration of the or else, even if it is beneath him.]

Just how long to you intend to keep hiding behind others? [Kaiba sneered, feeling superior and still displaying his haughty demeanor] For the record, I'm not concerned about your furry oversized rat.
