Raihan will be mingling with the crowd, but will more notably have Duraludon at his side. for the sake of not repeating ad nauseum, it can be assumed that he'd given your character the quick and dirty explanation of Pokémon - that they're creatures native to his world that are more or less classified by their elemental abilities, and that they have a close relationship with humans. he doesn't seem familiar with any "animal" terms, but would love to learn more about them!

should he notice you staring at Duraludon, he'll meet your eyes with a bright, fanged smile. Raihan likes to show off on any given day, but his partner deserves some time to shine! ]

You can pet him if you want! He's got a bit of a sour resting face, but he's a sucker for head rubs.

[ over at the whiteboard, Raihan is using some space to draw... something. gaze upon his gloriously rudimentary art skills - you might have to squint, but after a while it seems like he's doing his best to draw the creatures that have been seen roaming this world so far - from memory, mind you. some of them are a little neater than others, like the fish dragon, the paint-tailed creature, and rabbit creatures, which have some features that he's definitely familiar with. that neatness of the drawings stops at creatures that don't appear to have Pokémon qualities that he's familiar with, like the featherless bird, which looks like... well, he really just drew a penis with a beak and two eyes. call a spade a spade.

under each drawing, he writes "NAME:" with a blank next to it. under that, he puts some bullet points; most of them are blank, but the fish dragon, rabbit creature and paint creature have one bullet point filled in each: "MAGIKARP", "PIDGEY", and "SMEARGLE", respectively. what could those words mean? feel free to ask, or give some constructive criticism on his amazing artistic depictions. ]

[ Hammerlocke ruins info sharing! word of mouth may have spread that Raihan knows quite a bit about that ruined city with castle stadium; if your character has been there, they may notice the torn banners that decorated the stadium and its lobby have the same draconic emblem that adorns Raihan's uniform if they need to make the association. he'll be glad to answer any and all questions about it, as well as pose theories about why it's in ruins in the first place. have a drink with him; he's great company, as long as you can suppress your eyerolls whenever he calls himself "the great Raihan". ]
