The Wallflower Parsee showed up. Who knows if she was invited or she just heard noises from her neighbor's place. That was really open to debate. Even with the arrival of the recent apartment complex, she was still living down by the river. It was her shrine, her bridge. That was where she was supposed to stay after all.
Either way, she showed up, and for the first two whole hours she found a corner to sit in and just watched people having fun. Occasionally, she bit her thumb. A grunt, a grumble, but she didn't say much. That might change if someone approached her, but really she seemed just fine contentedly lurking in the corner like a little imp.
Socializing, or Attempting to at Least Eventually, she came to the bar. She motioned for a drink, pointing at something clear and grunting. It probably wasn't rice wine, but if it burned going down that was all she really wanted. She'd be in a little bit better mood. If anyone asked, she'd mutter something about being older than dirt and to respect their elders, before taking a sip. It wasn't like they had id cards to say she was over a thousand, but oh she was playing that one to the hilt.
After the second drink, she looked like she was finally starting to relax and grunted at the person next to her. "So why do you thin they picked us?" Because that'd been on her mind this whole time.
