There are arguments to be made about the drudgery of work in front of a computer being comparable to that of factories, but I'm afraid that would be straying from the point.

[His gaze sharpens at the obvious dig. Akechi doesn't care about workers' rights in general, save as a fun talking point to argue with others about, in vaguest notions of how people are treated by the men he worked for and whose careers and lives he destroyed. But he does care deeply for Ren, and he knows Ren cares very much for his job at Leblanc. He's certainly taken to volunteering at Heavenly Blanc very seriously.]

And I believe you are missing mine. I would say that you, by declaring yourself above those who serve to enrich you, remove the fulfillment from the position. I would, in fact, go further to say that a barista, to use your example and your definition, could easily find fulfillment in their work. Whether it's as simple as bringing joy to the general public, or learning the skills necessary to operate their own business in the future.

[Akechi, meanwhile, finally takes a sip from his drink. He's certain Kaiba wouldn't see his detective work as a "dead-end" job, but he himself certainly considers his assassination career, brief as it was, to be such.]

I'm afraid we'll simply find ourselves talking in circles at this rate. Shall we return to the game? If you're quite finished insulting the people who were good enough to organize this, that is.
