We hereby start the Void Calendar! All over the Void since yesterday, several handwritten notes have been taped or stapled to the Void's most populated areas in the hopes to drive the people to the popular bar/cafe. Heavenly Blanc's exterior has been protected from any upcoming storms by a large awning, and more tables and chairs have been temporarily set to settle any issues of overcrowding on the inside. Upon entering, one will be able greeted by the aroma of curry, although the spices vary from pot to pot, and coffee and alcohol will be served throughout the evening.

Within the interior of the bar, a small space has been divided and cleared out -- next to the jukebox. There, one will find a few microphones resting on their stands, waiting for whoever is brave enough to sing on them to whatever is playing in Heavenly Blanc when the storm hits. Last, but not least, a whiteboard has been visibly placed next to the entrance. It reads: "Names of the Months", and you may either write your own or add sticks to vote on your favorites.

[Kimihiro may find he's being Watched... or at least, Cole is curiously watching the kite he's flying, rather intently. He's not making any attempt to talk to him though, at least not yet.]

(he can sense it. being observed is a feeling that one has that doesn't require magic and it's starting to bother kimihiro a little bit. glimpsing around doesn't work so well with one functional eye, so he turns, gesturing for cole to come out.)

[Being noticed is less unusual by now, though he still wishes it wouldn't happen at times. He steps closer.]

Is it magic?

[The kite, he means.]

Not that it works here, alas. Where I am from, people fly kites in the New Years to wish children good fortune - health and good luck. It's a tradition.

(but if cole still has questions, he can answer all about the history of takoage easily from the top of his head. gracefully, kimihiro offers the thread to the other.)

[He tentatively reaches for the offered thread.]

(kimihiro could have looked at him like he was crazy, but he doesn't. instead, he just gestures ahead.)

The wind takes it.

[Thanks for that. The wind... he takes up the thread, and he's a little surprised by the tug he feels from the other end as the wind keeps it afloat, but he keeps ahold of it, watching it fly.]

I didn't know the wind could do that.

The wind and the shape of the kite work together.

(kind and gentle, kimihiro steps away a little to give the other confidence with the toy as watches proudly. he hopes it's fun for him.)

Much like your hat would fly if there was enough force in the wind for it.

[He's a little uncertain at first. He's not making it stay in the air, not technically, but he doesn't know how to make it come down either. It's strange, but interesting.]

[His free hand grips the edge of his hat at his last comment. Because he's right, and with the unpredictable weather around here it's blown off his head more than once by now.]

I don't like it when the wind takes my hat.

I can imagine that is inconvenient. I'm Watanuki, what's your name?

(no powers needed to figure that cole is not exactly a normal person, from the conversation to the clothes and the lack of knowlege -- magic?)

[The wind dies down enough that the kite dips before it sinks down to the ground.]

[He hurries over to where it landed, picking it up carefully only to get promptly distracted curiously inspecting it now that it's within reach.]

(no problem in letting the other analyse the object -- it seems so foreign to cole that in some way, it's endearing.)

You mentioned magic. May I assume you're a magic user?

[He continues his inspecting as he answers. It's lighter than he expected, but maybe that's why the wind can lift it up so easily.]

No, I'm not a mage.

[There are probably better ways to answer his question, but it's Cole. He does finally give Kimihiro a glance.]

Yes.

(mage is a nice word for it. kimihiro is a dreamseer, a wish-granter, but truly, right now? he's nothing of the sort. a spirit in the eyes of the void, he still hasn't realized where he stands.)

I think I've heard of you. A spirit, isn't it?

(mizuhashi has mentioned him in passing.)

[With all the different worlds people come from here, he can't be sure that means the same thing as a mage where he's from. But at least his world has magic.]

Yes, some call me spirit.

[As opposed to less kind things. He doesn't ask where he's heard of him. Instead he holds the kite up in the air above his head while holding the string in his other hand, as if waiting for the wind to come and simply lift it out of his hand and back up to where it was.]

(mugetsu is the one who responds first to the word 'spirit', squeaking to a fellow entity!)

(watching the man struggle, kimihiro calmly takes the thread and kite to get it in the air again before handing it back to cole, gesturing towards the material he has brought.)
