We hereby start the Void Calendar! All over the Void since yesterday, several handwritten notes have been taped or stapled to the Void's most populated areas in the hopes to drive the people to the popular bar/cafe. Heavenly Blanc's exterior has been protected from any upcoming storms by a large awning, and more tables and chairs have been temporarily set to settle any issues of overcrowding on the inside. Upon entering, one will be able greeted by the aroma of curry, although the spices vary from pot to pot, and coffee and alcohol will be served throughout the evening.

Within the interior of the bar, a small space has been divided and cleared out -- next to the jukebox. There, one will find a few microphones resting on their stands, waiting for whoever is brave enough to sing on them to whatever is playing in Heavenly Blanc when the storm hits. Last, but not least, a whiteboard has been visibly placed next to the entrance. It reads: "Names of the Months", and you may either write your own or add sticks to vote on your favorites.

Viridi.

I've seen you around.

[The proof of Viridi mellowing in three months is that she doesn't even take a chance to dunk on a new human.]

I'm looking future-ward. One day, you'll all be sorry you abandoned your hunting gathering ways. It was Adam and Eve in the Garden, not Adam in the slums and C-Eve-O in the penthouse.

Akechi, [he supplies, in case she hasn't heard anyone address him by name yet.] I apologize that we haven't spoken sooner. I quite like the way you think.

[Out of the corner of his eye, he's looking for Haru without being too obvious about it. Ignoring Kaiba completely, though.]

And what is the solution you would propose?

[oh boy
is akechi ready for this]

A return to living in harmony with nature! Your cities are polluting spewing nightmare factories, your technology is gouged from the treasures of the earth, and you use 'grows on trees' as a saying to indicate that something is easily replaceable when news-flash, you're making like, thousands of plants and animals go extinct every year.

When people accept that they are caregivers of the earth and stop bickering over imaginary human concepts like... wealth, you'll have returned to what you were meant to be.

[Oh boy. He is not, but she has a childish enthusiasm that he can appreciate.]

People can be truly despicable, [he agrees instead of commenting directly on what, exactly, is so despicable. He doesn't really care about the earth, or or nature, or plants and animals going extinct, but nor does he particularly care overmuch about the future of the human race, either.]

It's an interesting way of looking at it. Unfortunately as things stand right now, I'm afraid many of the powerful people in society would be loathe to give it up.

Ugh, I know!

I mean, I'm from ancient Greece, you're clearly from some future Eastern nation, but the problem with humans never changes.

That's why I vote we start over. Humans 2.0: the better ape!

Japan, yes.

[He snorts a laugh at her blunt declaration. Someone being from ancient Greece doesn't surprise him as much as it might have several months ago, but it is still interesting to him specifically. Especially:]

May I take that to mean you don't care overmuch for the great philosophers of your time? I've read some of their works, but you don't seem the type to be interested, Viridi-chan. Did you ever meet them?

[At least he's not underestimating her for being, like, a child. He doesn't know how to talk to children at all, so he just talks to them like he does everyone else; slightly too-polite whilst still being slightly too-familiar.]

Oh, I'm not from your Greece, exactly. I just used it as a culturally relevant touchpoint. But I know who you're talking about - those bearded men sitting around in town squares ranting or raving or wearing barrels and who end up getting poisoned by their peers. Hemlock gets a bad rap.

It's really just more evidence that humanity is out of control.

No, in my version of the world, there are just battalions of thugs razing the land and murdering each other.
