She sighs and crosses her arms.

"That's the hard part. A lot of proper testin' for concrete involves tech we don't got, so we'll have to come up with a low-tech solution. Main things I'm interested in are strength an' waterproofness."

She knows that impurities cause the different colors in gems, so she thought it might be the same for the mushrooms -- and those impurities might interfere with its ability to make good concrete. She's trying to not think too hard about it though, lest she give the Void ideas and retroactively ruin her efforts.

"Suggestion: We may be able to assist in this endeavor."

Though they are more limited than they used to be, they are still composed of denser, stronger material than any organic.

"Oh?" She looks at him, voice full of curiosity and restrained hope. "I won't turn down any assistance ya feel like offerin', I can use all the hands I can get. So just what are ya capable of?"

Since she's not familiar with this type of robot, she'll need to have something to base her expectations off of.

"This platform weighs approximately 396 lbs and is constructed of high grade polymer and metal."

They could probably at least help with strength tests, they're just saying.

"Well, yer one of the heaviest things I've seen 'round here that can move around, and that'll come in handy." Her car is heavier, but it's big and bulky and so spreads out its weight more, and the hover function might interfere with using it to test something's strength. "Can I assume you're pretty strong and tough, too?"

"Affirmative." Hence the high grade part. The Geth, as machines that build themselves, are always sure to make quality construction.

[indigloaming]

So he's the closest thing they've got to the industrial equipment normally used to test concrete. Indigo points at the tile in his hands.

"Do ya think ya could crush that, if ya tried hard enough?" There are other directions of stress she's interested in other than crushing -- twisting, folding, pulling, etc -- but they can start with crushing.

In a way, yes.

"We will try. If necessary, we are also able to employ the assistance of larger mechanical fauna." They can talk to the fluffy mimics, it's pretty great.

They can probably crush it on their own, though.

[indigloaming]

"Right." Indigo glances around at Merlaut's courtyard; then down at the shards of tile from the few that didn't make it through the drying process. Although she made the tiles here, perhaps it's not the best place for testing.

"Maybe we oughtta go somewhere outta the way for all o' this. Wouldn't want a shard o' concrete to fly out and hit someone in the eye." Not that either of them have to worry about something like that, but a passer-by might.

Affirmative. We recommend forest ruins or the beach.

(The ruined buildings in the forest are rarely bothered by anyone, and the beach has a lot of junk to block any potential potential flying shards.)
