But then again, just how did the void know about those people to begin with? They had a half baked idea, but Es' pout and Turing's desire to be helpful meant they couldn't delay in voicing it. ]

Don't feel bad! I believe the void may be playing something of a trick on you. I'm unsure how it happens, but somehow places of interest or even living things that are native to some but not others have...a habit of appearing in strange ways and forms.

I think it's possible that the void not only copied your friend based on your memories, but also combined her with your memories of your usual combat style and strategies.
