Rinoa shakes her head, not sure if she should be amused or bothered by how determined he is to ignore the creature that clearly wants his attention. "I'm sure he could fend for himself," she agrees - after all, she's seen Felix angry and she has no reason to think any of his friends would behave differently - "but if he likes you, is there a reason you'd rather be alone?"

There's a pause, and then the girl's hands find her hips, a huff of amusement on her breath. "Oh, no. Don't tell me you're another one of those guys who's determined not to need anyone else..."

He doesn't really seem like the type, not with the dramatics earlier, but then maybe he'll tell her the real reason if that's not the case.
