The Hashihime is In - (OTA for October)
Who: Parsee
bridge_princess and you!
What: Open Log for October
--In which Parsee attempts to turn over a new leaf with mixed results by updating the shrine
Where: Predominately around the Shrine and Bridge, but out and about in a couple prompts.
When: October anytime
Content Warnings: None! (Will update if needed)

Option 1) DAMNIT CACTAUR!
Parsee could be found around the region at some point in the company of what looked looked like the severed head of a teddy bear turned into a pin-cushion and a creature with a paintbrush on its tail, colored black. She was quietly and with great annoyance pulling needles out of her normal clothes and her skin as she walked from place to place along the paths, and currently dressed in a hunter green version of those school uniforms they were 'selling' inside of the mountains. She grumbled a lot, but every time she reached a corner, she stopped and set the clothes down before looking over to the painter and nodding.
"Ok, let's start here. Hmmmph, they'd better be grateful someone's finally getting around to this," she murmured and smiled over at the creature as she started to plant down a simple wooden sign, letting one stitch it into place and make sure it was in good shape while the other started to paint on it with their tail. "Good job, ok... uh... arrow that way, and say Bar. Arrow that way, say Mt. Silver." Someone was trying to get signs up. It was probably mostly futile, but new people were showing up.
Option 2) Getting set up. (Shrine/Bridge to the Void)
Parsee and her two companions of the moment were busy as hell. She had some food and water set out for them, and each was currently busily working on something as she'd directed. The rolling head was quietly and busily using its thread to finish fixing up a house out back of the Shrine, near the river. It was finally time to make the thing stable, and it was putting the finishing touches on her little residence. Meanwhile, the 'smeargle' was happily painting a welcome sign and a sign in front of the shrine, the latter of which said 'Prayers - One Pebble.' The welcome sign ended up in front of the shrine.
"Welcome Back. Bar -->" it read, pointing towards the path leading up to the Heavenly Blanc. The Smeargle seemed happy to be painting certainly and she was grateful.
What was Parsee doing? She was beating wood to a pulp in front of a big vat of water, a grim look on her face. If anyone knew such things, it was a very old fashioned way to make paper. Crude, bad paper, but paper nevertheless. As she worked, a water clock 'tonked' beside her and she occasionally glared over at it. "Behave!" she said if it sounded even a half second off. She would get that damned thing to behave one of these days.
Option 3) The Hashihime is In (Bridge-Shrine)
When the work was finally done, Parsee could be found around the shrine from time to time in the month of October. She was dressed in as much an all-white outfit as she could pull off, given that there were no kimono here right now, complete with a woven metal crown and and a couple metal candle holders she'd ut together from scraps. It gave her a bit of an eerie look. When she saw someone approach, she made sure the things were lit and settled herself inside of the shrine.
The sign by the shrine said 'Prayers - 1 Pebble' and there was a pair of little boxes. One had some scraps of crude paper in it and a stencil, while the other was empty, waiting for pebbles. Tifa had suggested this, and once upon a time? People had prayed at a youkai's shrine, so... she could try the practice out. Maybe it would help people? She wasn't sure. She felt a little silly, but hey. Whatever.
Option 4)... (Osomatsu's room at the Apartments)
She was standing there in front of Osomatsu's place at the apartment complex. It didn't really matter if someone had taken it over now. That wasn't the point. She had an unreadable but displeased expression on her face, her arms folded in front of her. A foot tapped and she seemed to be trying to decide something, but unable to quite reach a conclusion on the matter.
"You're probably better off right now, but still... why'd you have to go?" she muttered, fussing with the hem of her skirt. "You're probably not going to be the last either. 2B's gone too..."
Wildcard) Need/want something else, start a log of your choice or private message me. I'm pretty good with anything here.

Viridi is chock full of 100% positive energy and good vibes. Negative emotion would never cross her mind! What would she even be envious of? Her fellow gods having dominions that weren't being razed to the ground? Ridiculous.
"Oh -- don't worry about it, they'll probably get invented a little later."
There goes her idea of graphic tees with her face on it.
"But fine, keep your pride or whatever. Don't say the Forces of Nature never made a good offer! I didn't even get to our generous 401K matching plan.
"Can I at least interest you in gossiping about this weirdo place?"
no subject
Ahem. Wait. Wait. "Gossip? Yeah, Gossip I can handle. Dish, goddess. If you're not here to pray, might as well get to it right?" She set her candles down, snuffing them both out but leaving her crown on as the two of them chatted. What? Envious girls like Parsee loved gossip.
no subject
Viridi doesn't pause for breath.
"I've met -- 'meet' is a strong word -- spied on and/or stalked some of the randos wandering around, and I'd say the solid majority are human or humanish enough to count. Personally, I'd also nuke all humans from orbit, but again, just got here, play nice, et cetera et cetera. I want to know if anyone's establishing some kind of, like... order here. You know, there's usually some alpha dog who thinks they're all that who rises to the top. That turn of phrase is a fundamental misunderstanding of basic hierarchical pack dynamics, by the way, but we can talk about that later."
no subject
She was trying to keep up. This was a little dizzying. Excuse her for a second while she ran over that, her fingers gesturing as she tried to pick out each thought. Did this girl even breathe while she spoke? Well, maybe not. They didn't need to breath still did they? Parsee remembered and took a breath. Yep. still a choice. Right, Viridi was talking about nuking things again. Violent wasn't she?
Finally, she raised a finger. "No. Nobody's in charge of the idiocy around here. Here is still figuring out what here is supposed to be. It can't get chickens right even. If you haven't seen one, trust me Miss Nature. You'll know what I mean."
no subject
The Goddess of Nature doesn't actually appreciate nuclear power, no matter how likely it is that it might someday wipe humans off the map.
"Please don't actually soak the landscape in radioactive isotopes; I'll literally die, thanks.
"But that's interesting." There is a slightly unpleasant expression on Viridi's face as she ponders this. "Humans in my time never waste an opportunity to jostle for the slightest, teeniest, tiniest bit of power - even fake power. That makes things a little easier for me."
no subject
"There's not really that much to rule over here, and you have noooooo idea how many hero types we have here, clearly. You haven't been paying attention. They're almost all the hero type that I've seen, except for a couple of them." And, actually? Kaiba probably did have plans to take over. She wouldn't put it past him.
no subject
"Too bad they die in like, fifty years, and the status quo marches on relentlessly. There's just no point. I'm not talking about ruling anything, though. I just mean influence. Humans like to feel like they've got clout."
Maybe Viridi's just really cynical.
"And my goal is just to stop them from ruining a perfectly good nascent world."
no subject
"Oh is that what you want to know? Uh... I think they're deferring to Cloud and Tifa to an extent. They run the bar, and they've been trying to organize a little, but I'm pretty sure neither of them wants to be in charge of anything but a bar and grill."
no subject
"Although I can't see that being applicable here."
It had been so easy to get Pit to do exactly what she wanted, provided that meant fighting a greater evil.
"I think I've met the one. She's way too accommodating. But if that's the biggest figurehead in this void dimension, I guess I don't need to worry too much.
"Really need these shrines of human commercialism to stop popping up everywhere, though."
no subject
"She's not really in it to be famous, so yeah. Accommodating. But leading's pretty damned easy for her." She sounded a little jealous, but she was used to it by now. "Shrines of ... what?!?" No, seriously what?
no subject
It's really impressive how many words she can get out before she stops talking.
"Advancing beyond an agricultural civilization was a mistake. Actually, humans were just a mistake in general. But if I had to pick a less general mistake, it would be this one.
"...And the botfly, that was my bad. My finger slipped."
no subject
And boy she was a motor mouth wasn't she? "Uh... never heard of those, but I'll take your word for it. We weren't too far past agriculture when I died, so I won't take responsibility for the rest of the crap of the last thousand years, and this place is weird."
no subject
That was interesting new information that was entirely a tangent, but as Parsee is learning, Viridi will talk about anything until the collapse of reality.
"Hm... Well, I know some of us get resurrected pretty routinely, but I have a feeling you're talking about something else. The agricultural times were perfect, though. Hands down my best era. It's too bad they had to go and develop technology."
She shudders.
no subject
"People will always do something stupid if you leave them in the same place long enough."
no subject
An obvious shudder at the implications of having once been human.
"Thank goodness you outgrew that. Although it's pretty alien to me to think that any human has the capability of becoming something more than a knuckle-dragging ape. ...Hey, maybe if I kill them all, they'll ascend to something less repulsive!"
It's not genocide, it's just helping them be their best selves.
"Cross-cultural exchange is so valuable. ...You're from one of the eastern lands, right?"
no subject
"Eastern... oh right, that is what the people across the ocean call us. I'm from Honshu originally, not far from... well none of that really matters anymore. I lived in hell until recently." She raised an eyebrow. Odd goddess. She was really hell bent on genocid...
No, you know what? There were people that weird in Gensokyo about moon bunnies.
no subject
The only hell she was aware of was Hades. And gods and spirits didn't go there.
"I absolutely want to hear the story of the human who pissed you off so much you transcended humanity, bee tee dubs."
no subject
A grunt. "The Oni and youkai like me mostly took over the old spot where hell was while they set up a new, bigger hell. Humans breed like moon rabbits and they ran out of room anyway. I run the bridge in."
A snort. "He isn't worth even remembering the name of. He was a shit who thought he could cast me off for another woman, and women didn't have the options they do now. Ruin my life, I ruin yours... what little you have left. Nobody remembers him anymore, and that's better. A fitting end for a cheating shit."
no subject
She's genuinely shocked at this story.
"You all decided to go and clear out of the world? The gods and the spirits? Why! I would have kicked all of them out!" Of course she would've. "The world shouldn't be catering to their whims; they've got to learn some respect!
"If I were you, I wouldn't be ticked at just the one guy; I'd be ticked at all of them."
...
"Wait, I already am. 'K, maybe projecting a teensy bit."
no subject
...
"That and Yukari suggested it, and you don't question that bitch. She's scary as hell."
no subject
Viridi blinks in mild horror.
"Nope. We're just here. Whether or not they want us to be. I mean... take Poseidon. Humans or not, the ocean's still gonna need someone to watch over it. Technically, humans are part of my domain re: living things, but I was thinking about replacing them with something cuter."
Something fluffy with wings.
"Who's that? Head god?"
no subject
Grunt. Again. "Not that it was a bad idea, mind you."
no subject
She still shudders at the thought of having to hide from humans, though.
"So is this your first time seeing humans in, what, a few hundred years?"
no subject
"I wish. There's a few who believe in us stuck living in town. A dumb shrine maiden who runs the shrine by the barrier comes down and harrasses folk whenever one of us is getting out of line. She uses the bridge, so yeah. We run into each other."
no subject
Parsee clearly never left hell.
"Youkai of flowers sounds reasonable, though. If you have a choice, bring her along next time something drops in from your world."
