(In the short period of silence, Ren allows his mind to wander, Akechi's hand near his lips being the target of another silent kiss, longer and lingering.

There's just a lot in his mind. Ka-- Sumire's well-being a top priority as of now, and he's not going to coddle her, but there should be at least some amount of protectiveness so that she can adapt and grow accustomed to the nightmare that is the Void. Lend her a little bit of strength, he thinks, while she builds up the nerve to do it herself.

Ann has been quiet. Memshare was not kind to her, much less showing her what she allowed him to go through - even if there wasn't a soul on either heaven or hell that could make him choose a different outcome if it meant his friends would be safe. He knows that eventually, she'll come around and that he needs to make changes, be a better friend. He doesn't know where to begin.

Akechi's shoulder seems to be improving quickly, which means that soon, he might leave Ren to his own apartment. It's bittersweet - half of him happy to have been given the opportunity to take care of the other and see what it results in, and the other half of him reluctantly admitting that he wished it would last longer. After all, the company is more than welcome and it helps him navigate the relationship they're building.

The other can be annoying sometimes, nagging, but it brings Ren joy that he just isn't able to hide, even the short smile on his lips that show while the thought comes and goes.

Finally, the other speaks and Ren opens his eyes, blinking to get used to the brightness again.)

Thank you. (Ren gives the other a nod and a blinding smile. Akechi truly is trying, isn't he? Ren can tell - apologies, returning caresses, honesty. Things might suck a little right now, but here, inside those four walls, they finally are falling into place.)

(As she speaks, Ren allows his thoughts to make associations. That it is her nature, he has always expected and known - partly why he expected her to find reasons upon seeing things, like everything pulled at the jealousy in her heart.

He isn't sure if the list of qualities she's listing is for him, so there's a little quirk of his brows.

Oso... Ren can only hope his disappearance meant that he went home. He has already searched the Void, bit by bit, but no blood or limb was found. Not even a voice. With a sigh, he finally speaks.)

I don't expect you not to be. Those things take time.

[ She nods up at Ren, a small smile on her lips. She didn't know his name until just now, but he's definitely the same person. Nor does the unfriendly look on Kaiba's face, when she turns her attention back towards him, surprise her.

The pair of them move off the last step, and Yoshizawa looks around, taking in the place's features with unabashed curiosity on her features, and more than a hint of discomfort - that, she tries to hide. It's like home, but it's not like home, with its empty stalls and the water flooding everywhere.

Polite as she is, she won't answer the comment, even though she easily could - it's clear that this place could have been pulled from any of their memories, at least in part. But it wasn't addressed to her; it was addressed to Ren. She's not going to speak over him, and so she just offers Kaiba a quick bow by way of greeting. ]

[ It's not quite the Underground Mall, but then again, no place she's found here is "quite" what it's meant to be. At least the stores have clothing. Even if it's all the same school uniform in a variety of colors, she'll at least have other options available than her gymnastics camp gear.

When the grey-haired head pops unexpectedly out of one of the rooms, she squeaks and moves a little closer to Ren. But it seems he knows Ren... and...

He knows her, too? For a moment, she's confused, a questioning glance between the stranger and her senpai. But then she remembers what Ren told her - something about memories being mixed up, switched between residents of this Void place, that there are people who know her despite her never having met them. And so Yoshizawa offers the young man a small, hesitant smile. ]

H-Hello!

[ it's a given that leo would loiter more around the place that most resembles home, and in recent... days... (?) that's what he's done. should yoshizawa and ren make their way into the auditorium, they'll find leo there, shooting at targets with a bow he'd picked up from backstage. it's hard to see from their position, probably, but upon closer inspection they'll find that each arrow he sets free hits its mark.

well, except for the one he shoots when they come in. that one's close enough but mildly off, his slight jump from the sound of doors opening setting him off-center. this isn't as distracting as music is, as nostalgic as it might be, so his attention to his surroundings is still mildly intact. as intact as it can be for leo, anyway.

hope you enjoy the orange-haired disaster waving frantically from the stage with his free hand when he turns to see who came in! he calls out loudly across the room, thank you stage experience: ]

That you, Ren? Heya, Ren! And-- [ he definitely does pause over yoshizawa in a very transparent way. familiar, but... not quite? ahh ] --Who's your friend? C'mere, come closer, introduce me!

[ said as he turns around and readies another shot...... ]

It's also kind of weird when people complement me. I'm not used to them meaning it.

(The place seemed really quiet without the sound of piano filling the halls, he notes to himself. For a second, he almost thought that the schoolmall was empty - only to have his eyes prove him wrong. The hair is, indeed, very orange and very characteristic.

Ren smiles for a second, glad that he found the other man. He definitely wanted these two to meet. The thought is only halted by the realization that Leo is holding a weapon, the gaze shifting to see the bullseye marks and ah, that's very nice.

Not to mention the small relief that comes with knowing that Leo is not totally defenseless.

Waving back, Ren makes his way towards the other, gesturing with his head for Yoshizawa to do the same.)

This is Leo Tsukinaga, our very own musical genius. (And then he gives space so she can introduce herself. You can do it, he tells her through a nod.)

[ This place is so weird. Ann knows this place, or rather, she should considering all of the time she's spent here at home, but it's not really the same. It's been mixed with something else, a... school, of all things, and now it's become lame and dull and confusing.

And to think, the only thing she could find here are school uniforms. What the hell is she supposed to do with an abundance of those? It hasn't stopped her, of course, from grabbing an entire armful of skirts and pants and shirts and jackets in varying shades, because now she's bound and determined to make them into something other than a uniform.

It's something to do, at the very least. And as she rounds the corner, she is able to easily spot two familiar faces, though admittedly... one is far more familiar than the other, and far less shocking. ]

Ren! Yoshizawa-san! [ She's quick to make her way towards them, lifting her free hand in greeting, before all attention is on the other girl. ] Hey, did you just arrive? Poor thing, I'm glad that you found Ren right away!

[She feels seen and she doesn't like it. Stop that.]

It's a little... vulgar for an art gallery, don't you think?

[Is vulgar the right word? Is it even supposed to be... that? Or are they all getting the wrong idea here? Are they just admiring and getting embarrassed by nothing more than a mushroom? [What is happening here.]]
