[Akechi's sitting with his own cup of the house blend at his elbow, intentionally on the far side of the bar so that when Ren's friends came to join, he wouldn't be caught in the middle. He's not above using Yoshizawa as a buffer.

He takes a sip from his cup before setting it down and arching an eyebrow at Ren.]

Ren can only arch an eyebrow right back. Akechi is right, he had initially intended as a replacement for current jewelry, but since Ann gave the idea, who's he to deny her a brand new piercing? He calmly smiles before he answers.)
