Actually, he wonders if Turing couldn't just-- somehow connect to the dex and download it all directly?]

[As he ponders all of that, he blinks back into attention at their question, and nods with a small, awkward smile.] Uh-- well... [He glances across the way to Oak in conversation, sketching away at one of the other Pokémon present.] ...I always complained about it when I was a kid, but now, I'm glad that I did it. It really gave me that driving force I needed, learning how to be a trainer.

And I'm really proud of Pokédex, now. It's... kind of his life's work. And something that... connects us. [That was as diplomatic as he could take it, he thinks... without getting into anything deeper. Things he didn't really want to touch.]
