a delightful picnic day.
Who: Everyone!
What: PokeBalls are now functional, and there are a lot more friends in Tabula Rasa.
Where: Outside of Heavenly Blanc! It's a picnic, baby.
When: You know, now-ish.
Content Warnings: Cute. Dragons. Birbs.
It seemingly happens at random, for the trainers of the creatures they call Pokemon. Sudden bursts of light, and out emerge quite a few new friends. Pokemon of different Types, shapes, and sizes are now wandering around . . . sticking close to their trainers, probably.
There's a small gathering outside of the Heavenly Blanc, with various snacks and food set out on tables outside. Feel free to come by, play with Pokemon, and have a bite to eat! It's a random assortment of food and drink, all "foraged" and/or made by the Pokemon crew in order to celebrate their partners being released and to also introduce them to their friends they've made in Tabula Rasa!
Be careful of the rumbling storm nearby, though . . . but on the bright side, at least your phones seem to be working, if you have any? Time to take selfies with your new friends, or maybe a TikTok that just stays on your phone forever.
(Trainers will have top levels, if they want, so if you want to interact with a specific trainer, you can wait for their level! Otherwise, have fun at the picnic.)

BLUE BOYZ
[Now that everyone- well, most everyone- had been gathered, it was a happy occasion for the Pokémon to mingle and let loose after all the time spent cooped up- most of Blue's Pokémon are eager to socialize. Eevee is draped over Blue's shoulder as usual, but can be easily be lured away with snacks and attention. Arcanine trots around, a giant, good doggo, head held high as he fishes for praise and pets of his own. Gyarados may look mean, but he's merrily slithering about in the air, roaring as he enjoys the rainfall- it's been a long time since he could take a refreshing shower like this! Any people who he spots gawking at him will be greeted with a huge blink and a slow hover closer to inspect them, but he's quite friendly (unlike certain, other Gyarados...)]
[Back on the ground, Exeggutor curiously sways to and fro on his stumpy legs, his 3 heads chattering amongst themselves as they look at all the new Pokémon and people, introducing himself as best he can. For him and especially for Alakazam, it was extremely odd to not have their Psychic powers, and the spoon-wielding monster is feeling rather out of sorts in particular without them. He's a bit of a wallflower, preferring to stay back from all the action and observe from one of the tables, instead.]
[And lastly, Pidgeot, the huge, eagle-like Pokémon, preens himself as he roosts atop Heavenly Blanc's roof with the void-native Pidgey; at first he'd found his bizarre little cat-bodied cousins an unsettling presence, but it seems he's gotten used to them with his trainer's encouragement- they're now peacefully preening and nesting alongside him, like their oversized protector. Just don't get too close- Pidgeot doesn't seem to like humans other than Blue, and glares sharply at anyone who dares to come close to him.]

An alien robot is surely just as interesting though.
Blue is less familiar to them than the other Trainers, and eventually they approach him.)

After a few moments, he shook his head, rolled his eyes and proceeded to step forward. The closer he got the more details started to enlighten him on the true nature of the gathering. There were refreshments, as well as people gathered here not looking at all concerned. That bird on the roof looked vaguely like one of Professor Oak's drawings if you injected a pidgey with copious amounts of steroids. So- pokemon? Maybe? Possibly?
Great. Or the opposite thereof. It just figured that the Poke freaks could freely summon their beasts and he still couldn't. Someone here.. was definitely messing with him.]

RAIHAN'S RASCALS
once everyone is gathered at the picnic to stretch their legs and get to know the surroundings outside of their Poké Balls, they're hard to miss. Duraludon, whom most will be familiar with, can be seen shambling around, more or less supervising the more rambunctious members of the group along with Goodra, who will give big, slimy hugs to anyone that Raihan introduces as a potential friend. Torkoal, being the old man at heart that he is (and notably the only non-dragon in Raihan's current rotation), ignores the hustle and bustle in favour of lying down for naps in a particularly inconvenient spots - be careful not to trip over him!
if you're feeling a little more active, Turtonator, being a shameless glutton, will gladly play catch with some mushrooms, crunching through their marble skin without a care - after Raihan has finished tossing him a few, he'll look around for others to take up his place. Flygon can be heard before he's seen, gliding through the air; each beat of his wings making a harmonious, song-like note that echoes through the wind. he'll gladly offer rides on his back for anyone that asks Raihan for permission to do so, but will just as easily roll over on the ground for some belly rubs.
and last, but definitely not least, a storm that's passing through Mt. Silver means that Rotom is up and running in Raihan's phone, hovering around and taking pictures and videos of anything and everything it comes across... and plenty of shots of Raihan, of course. if you try talking to it, you'll definitely get a response right back - don't think you're getting away without a commemorative selfie with Raihan, either! ]

[ Aerith, heading out of Heavenly Blanc, waves at Raihan as she walks over to where she and his Pokémon are gathered. She seems particularly cheered by the sight, considering that the last time she'd spoken with Raihan, it'd been a little more of a downer. Now, though...! ]
I'm so glad they're all here with you now. [ She expresses earnestly, looking from the trainer to his partners, finding herself thoroughly floored by how different and interesting they all are. ] And I'm sure the other trainers are excited, too, huh?

rotommmm
[Blue leaves them to their chatter, eventually searching out the last of Raihan's Pokémon pals. Rotom has been zooming about the picnic all the while, snapping pictures and chatting people up. Blue's already quite familiar with Rotom-enabled tech, having often interacted with the Rotom-dexes in Alola, so when he watches Rotom's camera zoom on him as he approaches, he gives it his best, photogenic wink and grin.]
Be sure to get my good side, Roto-chan! [He waves him down, watching him zoom about as he seats himself at the nearby picnic table.] Huuuh, I haven't had too many chances to see a Rotomphone, yet. What else can you do in there that a Rotomdex can't?

[Somehow, just by looking at the gooey- whatever it is, Seto just knew to prevent any actions it might be tempted to take immediately. He'd raised a hand stiffly into the universal stop gesture and spoke sternly to the overactive creature. The thought of getting that gunk all over his pristine white jacket twisted his stomach in knots. Not giving the monster a chance to reassess the situation he strode on..
.. only to be harassed by a floating cellphone with googly eyes?

LANCE'S . . . LOT?? (WHY DID YOU ALL DO ALLITERATION)
but once the hullabaloo is out of the way (and gyarados is sufficiently calmed) and lance is sufficiently crushed to death by his various dragons, he is quick to let them remain out of their balls to explore a bit.
most of tabula rasa is already familiar with lance's oldest dragonite, who is wandering about the party. but lance has two other dragonite - the middle child, who is a bit grumpy and impatient and will definitely take food from your plate when you aren't looking, and the youngest baby, who is patiently collecting nearby flowers to set into a small pile in order to give to people as they pass by.
gyarados is exceptionally hard to miss, and lance will be sticking close to the massive water-type, mostly because gyarados has a temper. still, he won't attack or be snippish while lance is around. you may even get a pet or two in, but gyarados responds well to food. probably.
charizard can be found snoozing near the food. feel free to roast marshmallows over his flame tail. he is entirely unbothered, and will be sticking relatively close to lance. the laziest fire dragon in the world.
and finally, last but not least, is aerodactyl, who is a relatively happy dinosaur content to munch on food and give flying rides to the people who want to fly. feel free to take a trip. aerodactyl will totally comply.
feel free to hang out with any of the lot, or come find lance if you have specific questions. lance himself is definitely in a good mood, now that the rest of his partners are here. and it probably isn't a stretch of the imagination anymore why anyone calls him the dragon master . . . because, well. look at them all. ]
because it's GREAT
[Speaking of hard to miss, two Gyarados is even harder to miss, and moreso when the two giants start rumbling at each other in some sort of conversation. It seems to have been brought on by Lance's Gyarados giving a scary hiss and growl at someone trying to pet him the wrong way; while Blue's Gyarados seems patient and more than happy to receive any kind of attention, Lance's is... less eager.]
YOU SHOULDN'T SCARE THE HUMANS, [Gyarados scolds, rumbling towards the other as he recoils himself sulkily nearby Lance.] THEY'RE ONLY CURIOUS. DON'T YOU WANT TO LEAVE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION?
[Blue doesn't seem to have caught on to the chatter of the Pokémon yet; he's off across the clearing, helping Dragonite collect flowers with Exeggutor.]

This gyarados however.. had something about his eyes that spoke to the dragon duelist. There was a fire in that expression, that eluded to raw power currently being suppressed. The ferocity of a dragon was one of it's more appealing features... in his opinion.
If he still thought Pokemon were a quirk in localization the fact that there were three dragonite would be in keeping with the theory as you could only have three of a kind in a deck, eh- but he'd abandoned that. Mostly, he was lingering here to get a sense of the additions in the pokémon bestiary as not to be caught off guard by any of them later. He might even snap a few pictures, discretely.]

More importantly, one of those big orange ones is blocking his path to the cafe... and he can't decide if it's a good idea to try to pass it or not. His sextet of Dynamos are working thanks to a distant storm, but they're still not at full power, so it's uncertain if he could take that thing on in a fight. For now he's just standing a good several meters away with his machines clustered close to his body, staring down this dangerous looking creature like it's personally offended him.
Man, he really wants a fucking coffee. This sucks.]
Samuel Oak + Dragonite
Considering everything that's happened -- first the events involving Dr. Yung, then everything in Mementos -- Dragonite is even more protective of Sam than usual. While the affection and loyalty between human and Pokemon is clear to see as they interact, Dragonite gives a warning glare at anyone unfamiliar who might approach; of course, that's everyone. (Even Blue. ESPECIALLY Blue, what do you think you're trying to pull trying to look like some kind of weird older version of its human's grandson, mister?)
Meanwhile: Perhaps the world doesn't fully understand this whole 'sleep' thing yet, because Sam suddenly has to fight off exhaustion despite being as well-rested as everyone else. He wobbles several times before resigning to rest his eyes for a moment, JUST A MOMENT, and immediately goes slack as if he'd been hit with sleep powder. Thankfully Dragonite is there to catch him before he hits the ground, before lying back to let him use its belly as a pillow. Those big eyes gaze lovingly down at its trainer as it lifts an arm, gently stroking his gray hair as it lets him nap on its belly. Get your cute pictures while you can (because the nap is as likely to end as abruptly as it began) -- or risk the ire of the guard dragon to wake him up.

Blue frowns and stutters in his step as the Dragonite intercepts him, brow furrowing defensively with hurt. Why was he being glared at!? He just wanted to talk to Gramps after not seeing him since before...
...Since before those odd subway tunnels, in which Blue had been haunted by weird phantoms of him... He had been so worried that he'd be unsafe there, but he'd never been able to find him. So now...
Eevee glares back from Blue's shoulder in his place, and gives the Dragonite a haughty scoff. "Go glare at someone else, you overgrown lizard!"
