What: PokeBalls are now functional, and there are a lot more friends in Tabula Rasa.
Where: Outside of Heavenly Blanc! It's a picnic, baby.

It seemingly happens at random, for the trainers of the creatures they call Pokemon. Sudden bursts of light, and out emerge quite a few new friends. Pokemon of different Types, shapes, and sizes are now wandering around . . . sticking close to their trainers, probably.

There's a small gathering outside of the Heavenly Blanc, with various snacks and food set out on tables outside. Feel free to come by, play with Pokemon, and have a bite to eat! It's a random assortment of food and drink, all "foraged" and/or made by the Pokemon crew in order to celebrate their partners being released and to also introduce them to their friends they've made in Tabula Rasa!

Be careful of the rumbling storm nearby, though . . . but on the bright side, at least your phones seem to be working, if you have any? Time to take selfies with your new friends, or maybe a TikTok that just stays on your phone forever.

(Trainers will have top levels, if they want, so if you want to interact with a specific trainer, you can wait for their level! Otherwise, have fun at the picnic.)

I guess you're right, but... [Well, he was the selfish type to not want to be left alone anyway, even if it meant they were stuck with him too. Maybe that's why it was ...better, that he was, now....]

[Blue frowns, and turns to meet Gyarados's stare with a glance- they both shrug slightly (well, Gyarados can't shrug, but he gives a little rumble), and he turns back to Iwai.]

Hey. Wanna go for a ride with Gyarados?

[Blue points to the enormous serpent, who cheerfully agrees with another, more cheerful 'RRRRRR']

[Iwa turns to stare at Gyarados, all hint of irritation or depression fading from his expression as it goes back into something more like...awe-stricken blankness at the very idea. He points wordlessly, eyes a little wide (and maybe sparkling).]

Real....ly?

[He can’t be serious, but...but is he? Is he???]

You’re kidding. [Is he???]

[Gyarados rumbles again, and lays his face against the ground; Blue walks over and puts a hand on the tough crest atop his head, using it like an anchor to swing himself up atop Gyarados' head.]

[Leaning over, he holds an outstretched hand towards Iwai, beckoning him.] C'mon! Gyarados likes you. Just watch where you step on the way up.

[Gyarados...likes him? Now his eyes really are sparkling. He nods wordlessly, though hesitates a bit in his shock before climbing onto the dragon. Once he’s on Gyarados’s back, the widest, most bewildered grin breaks out on his face. Holy shit, he is really about to ride a fucking dragon right now. Hell yeah, hell yeah, hell yeah!]

Fuck yeah, man! Let’s go!

Hold on tight. To the edges of the scales, here, like this.

[Blue demonstrates, gripping on the edge of some of Gyarados' chitinous scales jutting up from his back; as soon as the boys have a good grip, Gyarados' powerful body begins to undulate beneath them as he lifts up into the air, rumbling as he winds upwards.]

[For Blue... well, he was more than used to Flying on his Pokémon; he's just gotta make sure newbie back there doesn't go tumbling off.]

[It’s a valid concern, but seeing as he’s never even imagined riding a giant dragon before (okay, that’s not true, he’s definitely imagined it), he somewhat embarrassingly clings to the thing for dear life, eyes going wide as they lift off from the ground.]
