There were parts that were good. I have— [ she's not afraid anymore ] —powers, and while we were in there, I could use them again, you know? It's felt weird without them. [ Feels weird again. Her fingers flex, empty of magic, and curl around her necklace. ]
But it wasn't nice, there. The monsters, and... like you said, the doppelgangers...
[ She doesn't want to think about them too much, though. Perhaps it's lucky for her, then, that another thought strikes her, and there's a pause then, as the girl looks him over with a small frown. He doesn't look hurt, but considering how dangerous the nightmare was, Rinoa can't help but feel like she needs to check on him anyway. After all, as far as she knows, he doesn't have any powers that could have protected him if he was attacked... ]
You didn't get hurt, did you?
[ Would it have carried over, if he did? ]

[Still, he could vaguely believe that Parsee might have some difficult to explain abilities- and Rinoa didn't seem all... that crazy. Though thinking back to how she had attacked that monster on the beach...
FINE. He would listen and keep the grousing to a minimum. While he couldn't relate to the fantastical nature of her quandary he could to the sense of loss. Moving his right hand to cup around a portion of his duel disk he chimed in.] .. My technology was working inside the .. [.. group hallucination] ..dream too. [Then he resumes his silence as she spoke briefly of the difficulties they faced. The conversation reached a natural pause, as thoughts wandered. Once he realized he was under observation he smirked slightly at the question that she posed next.]
I'm no worse for the experience. [Physically. Mentally he wasn't so sure, but he was getting to be a master at bottling all that up] Strangely, the holograms were able to interact with the environment as if they had an actual physical mass. [Something to strive for in forwarding the technology] Nothing could get to me through my dragons. [Sounding suspiciously like boasting] ... Guess this is the part where I'm supposed to reciprocate. What about you? [Flippant though he sounded and phrased it, he actually cared in this case]

—but he's talking about some technology has has access to, obviously the item he holds, although it's an object she doesn't recognize.
...Plus... his dragons? She doesn't really know what he means, but he's asked the question, so she responds to it for now, leaving her queries for later: ]
I'm not hurt either. Not physically. There were... it wasn't all nice. There are some things I have to think about, I guess. [ Unlike Kaiba, she has no intention of hiding that it wasn't easy for her mentally. ] But it was nice to be able to use my magic again. I've been missing it, since I arrived here.
[ If he wants to know more, she'll explain. It was, after all, a promise. But for now... ]
You mentioned dragons, Seto?

realitythe fanciful reasoning.Rinoa was more forthcoming with her ill-ease from the experience. Although he could appreciate the concept he lacked the proficiency in showing empathy in an overt or meaningful way.] Heh. Then it doesn't seem like the end goal was to remove us permanently, just to rattle us. [A psychological maneuver perhaps, to influence latter decisions? Kaiba would make sure that their opponent didn't succeed. Two could play the intimidation game] Mm. [There she went again on this magic tangent. He was tempted to let the matter drop but maybe he should indulge her and let her get it out of her system... Now how could he ask this without sounding like he was skeptical of every word on the subject?] Magic is a broad category, what exactly are you referring to?
[To her question he reached to his left arm to leaf through his duel monsters deck, then he produced three Blue-Eyes White Dragons and held them up for her to see.] If my duel disk was working, setting these on the field would produce their holographic representations.. [Which are magnificent ok. The attention to detail had been a priority of his] Programing in a way for the holograms to take on a more solid presence... isn't a half bad idea. [Actually taking something away from the nightmare realm in order to tweak his inventions]

She has questions, but she puts them on hold for now to answer his, offering him a brief smile. ]
In my world, I'm referred to as a Sorceress. A person with natural magical ability. With magic, I can... well, there's a lot, you know? But for example, I can create and control elements, heal injuries, protect people... Sorceresses also have wings that appear when we use our powers, so... I can use those to fly, too.
[ Rinoa's fingers come up, curling around the rings at her neck. ]
I know it probably sounds weird to someone from another world, but... where I'm from, Sorceresses have existed for many years. People envy us, but... they're afraid of us too, you know?
...Anyway. [ Now's probably a good time for her to change the subject. Even with Kaiba's attempts to sound less so, she can tell he's skeptical. ] Holograms, they're like... images, right? And you fight with them?
I wrote responses for a couple of yours then remembered you wanted to start fresh >.>;. My bad!
or their realforms. That being said he'd never seen a Ruby dragon to compare them to. If they were that impressive perhaps the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon would be more sufficient as an opponent for them.][As she explained Kaiba just stood there, staring- his expression unmoving. It was quite an exertion on his part not to immediately shoot down everything falling from her lips. Control elements, heal injuries... and fly. Was there anything else? Why not the ability to manipulate time, reverse gravity, or invoke curses. This was so ridiculous, and his revulsion for the arts he didn't believe in were sharply contrasting with the level of respect she'd already acquired.]
…
There's no one I envy.. nor fear. [Yeah sure, Kaiba. If that were true you would stop seeking to wrest the title 'King of Games' from Yugi's clutches. The point was, he was trying to insist that his hesitation in responding wasn't coming from those avenues.]
[Good call] They are 3d images projected from a highly advanced device... and yes, we fight with them... or duel rather. That's the appropriate term. [Now it's her turn to sound skeptical] I don't hold any delusions about the holograms being real, but I know what they have been programmed to do and are capable of. There are no monsters more powerful than my dragons.
