Who: Kimihiro&You What: Getting to know the Void, just generally being confused. Catch-all post! Where: Around the Void! When: November OOC Content Warnings: Nothing!! Perhaps spoilers?
[Ignis, meanwhile, has many acquaintances -- people he's met over the course of his travels, or before, when he was training to be the Hand of the King, under his uncle. he doesn't have very many friends, however. he doesn't have many people he trusts, unequivocally. so, maybe he doesn't have many people, either]
[he's not about to point that out, however. and so, instead, he just smiles at Mugetsu, and notes:] Well, at least neither of you are entirely alone. [someone is better than no one and all at that]
(mugetsu coos, almost too happy to be lavished with all the attention. kimihiro though, sets his elbow on the table and rests knuckles against his temple.
it's perhaps too complicated to explain in full, without bearing his entire life and condition to the goddess in front of him. so instead, he goes by the easier route.)
Nothing can be done in this world without balance, you see. I needed to do something, so I paid with the passage of my time. I age very slowly, almost too much so.
(and it's something the goddess probably would understand; the pain of being the last. of watching all you love go before you. kimihiro needs another sip.)
(finally, kimihiro settles. he's not exactly happy, no, but at least he has a roof over his head. it's been a couple of days now, and kimihiro grows a little restless with just how long has it been since he stepped foot in the store.
he misses the children, even freaking mokona and all his yapping and demanding is currently something kimihiro wishes to hear. the only thing keeping him together is his conviction - he's here for a reason. so catch him outside, looking like he's about to snap a neck while he sucks in smoke, a cup of tea set next to the man on the grass where he sits.)
Where are people staying? I've seen many places, and yet, no houses.
(the mage takes the turn to drink some more. it may occur to him later that he might not have the same tolerance here, even if that tolerance is absurdly high as is. just let him have this.)
People who need it. (they have a wish, knowing or not. sometimes word-of-mouth brings clients, but should they not need it, it simply appears as a grass field between two buildings, enormous and imposing like most tokyo.
mugetsu coos, happily moving his tiny head wherever he'd like yoshizawa to scratch, as if he was guiding. non-chalantly, kimihiro complements it, as he belatedly realizes it might be too vague of a description.) People who have a wish they need granted.
He could leave it at that, and almost does, but...
"To be precise, nothing exists here--including such concepts as hunger or injury--until and unless this world has adopted it from the influence of the people who've been brought here."
Yes, that seems to include death, too, but Merlin thinks that's a rather obvious conclusion.
There was a really normal guy for a while. Kind of pathetic actually. I miss him. He was ... surprisingly fun to be around, despite all that. Maybe he'll reappear with his brothers someday.
[And with that he’ll turn his back, wave over his shoulder and make his way toward Heavenly Blanc. It’s something between a café and a bar where the electricity only works half the time, but there’s a pinball machine and decent as hell curry, which is probably why Iwaizumi spends as much time there as he does.]
I’m underage, so depending on who’s working I may not be able to get it for you, but if you’re going to find it anywhere, it’ll probably be here.
[He says this as he makes his way through the entrance, nods toward the bar.]
"Learning, growing, evolving, something like that."
Merlin can't rule out the possibility of it being an artificial world generated by some sort of powerful magecraft... but really, the reasons are less important than the actual outcome.
"So, that saying 'be careful what you wish for' is especially true here!"
[Noct is absolutely one of them, and he chuckles.] Yeah, I think a lot of people around here are bigger fans of animals than people. I'm kind of sad I didn't have a pet to bring along.
[ Melinoë sets the baked good aside and lays your hand palm up on the table for him to take if it's within his comfort zone. She'll take no offense if the appendage is ignored. ]
Something I would rather we not almost have in common.
[ Reincarnated, Dulcinea's body behaves more or less as a mortal body should, but Melinoë herself is timeless. It'd taken time to adjust and accept that fact, and it's still a bit bothersome. Inconvenient is perhaps a better term. ]
The body I am currently reincarnated into is 24...maybe 25 at this point?
Merlin could very well argue with that statement if he felt like it, but eh, he's lazy, and still wouldn't get anything more than mild amusement out of it anyway.
"Of course, you probably won't get much done if you just sit around out here, you know," he points out.
That's the current assumption, yeah. I'm pretty much ok with it, since we haven't seen any reason to think otherwise So he's back with his brothers, just like the android and the harpy are back... uh, wherever they are?
(he follows, a hand still holding the changshan to make sure it doesn't get dirty from meeting with the grass as he walked. he doesn't have shoes, but it doesn't seem to be an issue.
watanuki bows before entering, allowing mugetsu to wrap around his wrist instead. there's nobody tending the bar though and he sighs.)
I guess you'll have to wait, Mugetsu. (he isn't just taking it!)
