Late Novemenber Shenanigans
Who: Legion and you (+closed prompt for Ann)
What: Assorted prompts for late November
Where: Various
When: Late November
Content Warnings: None so far, will warn if necessary.
A)
(Their previous attempt to befriend the creatures that are not Geth was a failure. They intend to try again.
This time, however, they will follow the example of organic allies, and capture one with a “pokeball” prior to attempts at aliance. They have acquired several of the devices, including a solid red one, a green one with orange and yellow dots, a pink one with a heart on it, a blue and black one with a crescent moon, and a dark blue one with light blue grid lines and raised yellow ridges.
They are also following the example of organic allies in another way: instead of trying to feed it this time, they’ve managed to haul themselves, as well as a large heavy rock up a tree in the forest. And when they see a Geth/Zumyu wandering the forest below them, they drop that rock upon its head.)
B)
(They are in the forest when they spot them: living lantern flowers. Or … something similar, at least, they realize it’s not the same when they go to examine them and see the vines they’re attached to.
Like with their memories of the Geth, something new has been created from their knowledge of the living lanterns.
...Should someone come walking by, they might find Legion painstakingly digging up a vine for transplant.
...Or possibly holding an open flame near a flower bud in an attempt to coax it into bloom.)
C)
(Like an organic, they must eat to survive. Cake and sushi are great, but they’re not the only foods out there, and it is healthiest to eat a variety of things.
Hence, it is entirely possible that one might find them working on toppling and carving up one of the mid sized mushrooms, or following around a flock of chicken nugs and gathering eggs.
Later, they’ll have a fire going and be trying to roast a piece of that mushroom. Or possibly even trying to boil an egg in a pot of water. They’re kind of uncertain and awkward about either of these tasks—they don’t know the first thing about cooking, and their mushroom is more likely to end up charred, and their eggs not sufficiently boiled.)
D) (Closed to Ann)
(The trains are running, and instead of walking to their destination, Legion has decided to take the more efficient, if slightly riskier, route. They board the subway at the Chicago L Station, and take a seat, watching the forest pass by—it’s not until the train has nearly gone underground that they pay enough attention to literally anything else to realize that someone else is there.
...It is the woman who Kaiba-Seto cares for. After a moment, they get up and approach.)
Greetings.

Greetings.
u know which one
She's busied herself fiddling with her phone, hardly paying attention to anything -- that is, until Legion approaches. She quickly looks up and blinks a few times. ]
Hello! [ Certainly a different mood set from their first accidental, more volatile meeting, isn't it? ]
no subject
They glance briefly at the seat next to her, but decide not to ask to join her just yet. They are uncertain as to whether she will desire further interaction.)
...We are unaware of your designation.
(Awkward robot is curious but uncertain of how to interact.)
no subject
It's good to see you again. Ah! My name is Ann Takamaki!
[ It's now that her smile turns almost a little... nervous. ]
Hey... sorry about the other day. And thank you for keeping me from hurting Iwaizumi.
no subject
Acknowledged, Takamaki-Ann. (Yes, they are always like this.) We are Legion, relict. (And they'll probably never drop that extremely depressing addition to their own name either. Hello, they're Legion, the last of their kind.)
Acknowledged. Apology accepted. We also apologize: we allowed our memories of Kaiba-Seto's prior actions to influence our judgement. We assumed that he had behaved similarly, and that Iwaizumi's actions were justified, despite not possessing full knowledge of what had occurred. (They still don't know, actually.) We were illogical.
(More importantly.)
You consider Kaiba-Seto to be a priority?
no subject
It's very nice to meet you, Legion-san! [ Likewise, formalities are... a thing. Just wait until they get upgraded to Legion-kun! Relict, though... that's sad. ] Apology accepted as well, although you didn't do anything wrong. I was the one who acted poorly. You were just trying to help. I know Seto can be a little...
[ ...mean? ]
...extra sometimes. I didn't know what happened either, I just saw Seto on the floor. I was worried.
[ She's at least got the smarts to not continue down that path of conversation, because if she does, she'll ramble and give herself away. She thinks she's in the clear, anyways, until they... ask that question. ]
Yeah! Of course, he's my friend. All of my friends are priorities.
no subject
(The chatter.)
Damage appeared to be limited to physical pain.
The extent to which you prioritized him is unusual. (Like how Legion prioritizes fellow synths at times.) His actions suggest he considers you a priority as well.
no subject
[ Because if they hadn't, Seto probably wouldn't have gotten kicked in the nuts and the hallway brawl would have probably remained verbal. ]
I hope they don't fight again any time soon. [ Also... something about Blue and a video? She's not sure. That doesn't matter right now, because Legion says something she's not quite expecting amd she nearly chokes. ]
W-what? I mean--! I would do the same for any of my friends! [ Her face is turning bright red, unfortunately, and she begins to laugh nervously. ] W-well, it's great to think that maybe he sees me as a friend, too!
no subject
Your reaction suggests otherwise.
no subject
No, no! Really! We're just friends, and friendship is great! We are the friendliest friends to have ever... friended!
no subject
Elaborate.
(They don't believe you.)
no subject
[ Why is this happening -- ]
There's nothing to elaborate on... we're just friends, and friends look out for one another, right?

Shinra had various robotics, but there's something different about this one in comparison. There's a small head tilt as he pauses to watch it messing with the vines. Why? Who knows and he actually does not care too much.
-- but his lack of knowledge about everyone here and this place in general is bothersome. It's not like back where he comes from where the lifestream can give him almost instant access to anything he needs to know.
Here he's forced to actually communicate with others. Which is troublesome at best.]
What are you doing?
[No need to come straight out with the 'what are you' .. at least not yet.]
no subject
Their headflaps flare, and they make a low, sort of growl like noise.
He is not currently hostile, however, so they make no further signs of aggression.)
We are transplanting it.
(To a pot, so they can keep it in their room with the other plants, but they know enough about him to not like him so he only gets vague answers.)
no subject
In fact he barely moves at all. There's only a small head tilt as he glances from the mechanical being towards the vines where he keeps his focus for the moment.]
For what reason?
[He does take note that this being (?) said we instead of I. That is interesting. An odd choice if nothing else, though still slightly intriguing. He won't make a comment about it, but he might at least pay more attention to this one than he'd normally do to most people.]
no subject
...However, they also will not seek alliance.)
It is familiar to us.
(They continue to dig, though Sephiroth may notice that they're paying most of their attention to him.
...They full expect him to try to kill them. Prior experiences with other cruel but seemingly non hostile entities have taught them to be wary of this.)
no subject
You've seen something like this before then?
[He takes no issue if this mechanical being wants to keep most of his focus on him. Even prior to losing his sanity that sort of thing would happen a lot. Back then he never cared much for that type of attention.]
no subject
(Legion just loves to get in the way of cruel beings with incredible power, so it'll probably happen eventually!
For now, the topic isn't about anything sensitive, and there's no reason for hostility, so they'll continue the conversation ... if you can really call it that. Their eye moves from their task to Sephiroth every few seconds, and continues to do so. It slows down their digging considerably.)
no subject
[Well, it seems like he's going to have to ask specific questions to get anywhere as it doesn't look like this mechanical being is going to be forthcoming with information on his own. Ah well, no big deal.]
Where? The world you come from or someplace else?
[He'll move but don't worry, it's just to fold his arms across his chest.]
no subject
(It's not as descriptive a response as it could be, given that Sephiroth knows nothing about the world they were in before, but it was all they were giving.
They are finished digging by now, and they pick the plant up gently. They do not immediately get to work on placing it in the container they intend to use as a pot, instead turning to the other and giving him their full attention.)
You are Sephiroth?
no subject
[Normally someone knowing his name would not be something all that surprising. At one point he was a hero with a fanclub (not something he particularly cared for but that's another story).
But there only a few here who knew anything about him. This could be troublesome depending on what was said. He's not worried, but he'd rather not deal with pointless battles that'd interfere with his goal of getting home.]
no subject
(What they learned wasn't anything good, but don't worry: they won't fight unless they consider it necessary.
They prefer finishing conflicts to starting them.)

Interesting.]
Didn't think robots needed food.
no subject
In this world we experience hunger as organics do.
(They don't even have a mouth to eat with.)
no subject
[They really don't look like they were built to eat... but Espio frowns as he considers that. 'In this world', huh?]
I take it that's new to you, then, if it's 'this world'... can you even taste anything?
[He's eyeing the charred mushroom, doubt written on his face.]
no subject
(And they're soon gonna have a weird not entirely pleasant time eating that charred mushroom.
They have ... no experience cooking and little understanding of how to do it )
