[All things considered, Haru had expected this world to be more chaotic. Granted, after everything she gone through, a change in scenery wasn't a bad thing. As she wandered around the lobby, there were so many thoughts running through her mind. How much longer was she staying here for? What was happening in her world right now? What about her other friends? She wasn't sure but she knew thinking such things wouldn't do her any good.

With a heavy sigh, she figured she might as well introduce herself to anyone else around here.]

Um, excuse me? I know this is an odd request but do you know where I can buy fertilizer?

The Heavenly Blanc Bar & Café

[It was odd how comfortable she felt in this café. There was always something about the smell of coffee and the atmosphere that always calmed her down. And yet, this was also different from the café she knew back home. The addition of a jukebox and a pinball machine was a nice touch.

Feeling curious, she made her way to the pinball machine. As she stared at the strange equipment, it was certainly nostalgic to see these as she played one when she was younger.

Should anyone look by, they could see the determined look on Haru's face even as she continues to lose!]

C. Aoba Shibumenosaki Underground Academy - Gymnasium

[As Haru looked at the gym equipment, she couldn't help but be impressed. To think, there was such variety in this school! She never thought she would be allowed to try them with her father around! It wasn't becoming of an heiress to attempt to lift such heavy weights or even try the treadmill.

Hoping no one would be around, she just had to lift one the heavier weights. If she could lift heavy bags of fertilizer, a 40 pound weight should be nothing right?]

You can do this, you must try! [She said to herself before attempting to lift it!]

[ Ann's been sitting here, watching Haru play for a while, looking absolutely amused as her friend hits the little silver ball around on the inside of the machine. She's certainly determined, which makes it even more amusing, honestly. After a while, though, she stands up to peer over poor Haru's shoulder, arms folded under her chest as she watches the ball. ]

Hey, you're getting better! See? Practice makes perfect!

[Try as she might, Haru wasn't winning at all. Between trying to get the ball to the targets, it always ended up missing. Was she really that out of practice over playing a simple game?

Before she could continue any further, she spotted a familiar person standing next to her]

Oh, Ann-chan, I didn't see you there! Have you been watching me play this entire time? [How embarrassing was it to have her friend see her fail!]

[ Listen. This is the most fun Ann's had in a long, LONG time here. Haru is providing endless entertainment, even with her failures... so is it really a failure in the big scheme of things? ]

I have! I think you're getting better, though. Pin ball can be complicated! [ Mostly. Unless you get aggressive about it... ]

You really think so? I've been trying my best but it seems like no matter what I do, I can't hit the targets.

[She said before giving a small hum to herself.] I wonder what I am doing wrong...

I know so! You're doing really well!

[ Ann moves to stand at Haru's side, glancing down at the glass and the direction the ball heads into. ]

Well, hm. Maybe... try paying attention to what each thing in the machine does. Some things rack up points, but other things trigger new actions, you know?

I could give it a try!

[She said before looking back at the flappers and then back at the other targets. With a small hum, she looked back at Ann. As she started a new round, she looked at the ball roll downwards before attempting to hit the ball with the flapper.

Once again, it keeps missing!] Ann-chan, am I really that bad with technology? Maybe video games aren't really meant for me.

I believe in you!

[ Ann watches as the ball goes back and forth a few times, before down the hole it goes for the umpteenth time. Shaking her head, she smiles again. ]

Don't say that, you're not bad with technology at all. These things just take time and practice -- people who are really good at this game sink hours into it. Just keep trying, and be patient!

[With a heavy sigh, she didn't know what to do. She was so hopeless when it came to technology but she didn't want to give up!]

Are you sure? [Then there was a pause] Do you want to try and play too, Ann-chan? I think you'll be better at it than me.

[ Haru has offered for her to play, too, and this is both fortunate and unfortunate for both of them... ]

I'm sure! Ah, but I can show you, if you want!

[ Don't do it, Haru. Don't let her do this.... ]

[Too late as Haru took a side step and gestured her to take the machine!]

I would love it if you did! I want to know how you play this game!

[How well will this go?]

[ Bad. It's going to go poorly. ]

Well, okay! Here...

[ Ann takes Haru's place, and lets the ball shoot off. She fares pretty well, at first, until things start getting more complicated -- as the ball smashes up against certain things, it triggers other reactions. At some point, three more balls are unleashed, and Ann is visibly half dancing around as she struggles to keep up.

No matter what she does, it's too much -- every last damned ball goes down the proverbial drain and she huffs. ]

Stupid, cheating piece of shit!

[ Yes, she's yelling at the machine. And yes, she is overly aggressively sending another ball off, eyes narrowing as she begins to smash the buttons. She pushes them so hard, in fact, that the machine moves... and 'tilts' and it's an automatic game over. ]

Bullshit! This is absolute bullshit, it's cheating! I did NOT tilt the machine!

[Meanwhile, all Haru could do was just stare at Ann and wondered if she should say anything. As she watched her friend's attempt to play the machine, it was clear to see she was having some difficulty.

She wanted to say something but with how Ann was speaking such profanities, the older girl had to laugh.]

Goodness, you really are energetic! I didn't know you had that much energy to play with the pin ball machine today!

[She said between her laughter as she kept watching the blond shout]

[ It's probably a good thing Haru's still here, watching, so that Ann doesn't unleash absolute firey, unholy rage upon the innocent pinball machine. The way she's looking at it right now certainly says a whole lot about how she feels about it, at least. ]

Neither did I, but the stupid thing is cheating!

[ It's not cheating, she did tilt the machine, but she's opting to pretend that didn't happen, okay! She looks like she's done for a few moments, before she suddenly goes right back to it. ]

...I'm not letting this beat us, Haru.

[ 'Us'. The inanimate object will clearly not win! ]

Then we will not! With the both of us, I'm sure we will beat the high score!

[Although, the problem was how as she wasn't the best gamer around. Looking back at Ann and then back at the machine, she came up with an idea!]

How about this? Perhaps we can switch and take turns? While I might not good at playing this game, I'm sure if we work together we will win!

[ Ann's considering picking the entire machine up and hurtling it as far into the ocean as she can when Haru speaks up. She blinks, straightening up, and then she nods. ]

Yeah, that's a good idea! So, it's officially your turn!

[ ...Before it gets thrown and destroyed. ]

[With that, Haru took the center stage as she tried her luck with the machine again! As she pulled the handle, she was already feeling the pressure of winning breathing down on her]

O-Okay, let's see here...

[She said before the metal ball hit one of the flappers. Carefully, she made sure it was almost toward the tip before attempting to hit one of the targets!]
