[All things considered, Haru had expected this world to be more chaotic. Granted, after everything she gone through, a change in scenery wasn't a bad thing. As she wandered around the lobby, there were so many thoughts running through her mind. How much longer was she staying here for? What was happening in her world right now? What about her other friends? She wasn't sure but she knew thinking such things wouldn't do her any good.

With a heavy sigh, she figured she might as well introduce herself to anyone else around here.]

Um, excuse me? I know this is an odd request but do you know where I can buy fertilizer?

The Heavenly Blanc Bar & Café

[It was odd how comfortable she felt in this café. There was always something about the smell of coffee and the atmosphere that always calmed her down. And yet, this was also different from the café she knew back home. The addition of a jukebox and a pinball machine was a nice touch.

Feeling curious, she made her way to the pinball machine. As she stared at the strange equipment, it was certainly nostalgic to see these as she played one when she was younger.

Should anyone look by, they could see the determined look on Haru's face even as she continues to lose!]

C. Aoba Shibumenosaki Underground Academy - Gymnasium

[As Haru looked at the gym equipment, she couldn't help but be impressed. To think, there was such variety in this school! She never thought she would be allowed to try them with her father around! It wasn't becoming of an heiress to attempt to lift such heavy weights or even try the treadmill.

Hoping no one would be around, she just had to lift one the heavier weights. If she could lift heavy bags of fertilizer, a 40 pound weight should be nothing right?]

You're lucky you had them. [She didn't ask if it was Ren. She figured that she didn't have to. It just sort of felt logical.] You've got all the time in the world while you're here to make those decisions. Long as you don't mind taking a weird vacation in a world that has no clue what it is, that is.

[She raised a cup of coffee and smirked.]

To men. Who needs 'em? Of course without marriages I'd probably be out of work long long ago.

Yes, I don't mind at all! Although, I do wish my stay here wouldn't be for long as I do have a mission to accomplish when I return.

[Once again, she'll be vague. She had someone she needed to stop and she would stop at nothing to get it done.

However, until that time? She couldn't help but giggle before raising her own cup toward her.]

I agree, us females can definitely run the world by ourselves! I wish you could come with us because I think you wouldn't have a hard time finding work at all!

Well, you know... if I were a betting girl? That mission of yours needs Violet, Ren, Ann and Akechi... so you probably shouldn't all run off unless it's together should you? Might as well have a little fun here while you're figuring out how to send everyone home at once.

[Secretly, she was assuming that was much easier said than done, and that made her feel a little better. Little Miss Jealousy here could be possessive at times.]

Heh. Certainly better than most of the guys I know. I don't think you'd want me around. spirits of jealousy who handle breakups and divorces don't exactly make for great partners. Though I'm... trying a new leaf a little here.

[If she only knew the reason why they had to be sent back home. Haru didn’t respond back to her just yet. Instead, she looked down at her cup of coffee wondering what to say. There were a million things running through her mind before she gave a small smile]

I certainly hope we can all go back together.

[How can she tell Parsee there was a possibility things might not be as hopeful as it seemed? However, she would leave at that before changing the topic.]

Oh? Are you trying to find yourself a new partner?

[The most she'd gotten out of poor Ren was that 'God' was somewhere in Memetos, whatever that meant, and that might not even be the issue. But all that really sort of just got shunted out of her mind as her brain rebooted at hearing the question. Seriously, nobody had asked that quite so directly since she'd arrived. Most people seemed to guess she was more of a gossip hound and black widow, happy to stay alone. Nobody actually...

And so she was sitting there, snorting first into her coffee and setting it down. Then she was hacking and putting a hand in front of her face as a look of shock reached her eyes and her face went absolutely beet red in embarrassment. Her voice was a sputtering wreck and she stared at Haru dumbfounded for a full minute of hacking and trying to get control again.

Finally...]

Wh... What?!? Wh...Why would I b...be looking for THAT?!? GAH! I'm the lowest tier of youkai! Wh..Who would want to g...get together with a low grade monster and spirit of jealousy...

Are you tying to start the apocalypse?

[That was almost certainly an exaggeration. At the moment, it might have looked like the maiden doth protest too much, but for all that she'd gotten possessive of a few people, she wasn't actually looking for a relationship.

...yet.]

[That wasn't the reaction she was expecting. To se such a calm and cool person to suddenly transform into this state? Well, it seemed Haru knew what to do the next time she wanted to tease her!

As she stared at Parsee's red face, Haru couldn't help but giggle.]

I wouldn't say that, I think you're a pretty high classed youkai to me! I'm sure anyone would find you quite lovely if they took the time to know you! [Especially with her troubled backstory, it seemed only fair for her to find someone who would truly love her. Until the time comes for Parsee to find that special person?

Haru had this to say for her] I really do mean it. You are a lot better than you think.

[After all, it was something she wished someone would have told her]

Ngh... You barely know me.

[She calmed down a little, but her face was still absolutely beet red. Yeah, if Haru wanted to tease the hell out of her, threatening to set her up was a pretty effective way. It probably wouldn't actually work, but it'd definitely have her in conniptions. She was not used to that kind of reaction.]

So... you're wrong about youkai. I'm about middle of the pack, maybe lower half, and most don't want anything to do with the spirit of envy. Nobody likes being jealous all the time. It comes with the territory... But you sound like the sort of person who tries to think the best of someone.

[Wow, her fiance must have been a real douchebag. She turned out pretty good considering. Parsee was... eh, there was no point enumerating all the ways she could compare herself. She could make a list. Dragging her fingers through her hair, she sighed.]

I became a spirit a thousand years ago. I think we're kind of past the point of me really being courted, much less married. And if it happened here, they might disappear. That'd... that'd be bad.

[The way she said it, though. As much a basket case as she was? Yeah, she'd been alone a thousand years too. It was pretty obvious part of her did want it.]

That still isn't any reason why I shouldn't give you compliments!

[Perhaps it was how Haru wanted someone to tell her those words that she could sense it within Parsee. Or maybe it was because Haru wanted the other to build some more confidence. She wasn't sure but it didn't stop her from wanting to befriend this strange new person.

As she listened to her, she couldn't help but give an encouraging smile.]

Even if you think you are some random youkai, it won't change the fact that I think you're someone whom others would care about. You managed to befriend Ren-kun, right? That's something!

[Or maybe she was projecting a lot of her own insecurities onto her. She just hoped she wasn't being too pushy as the last thing she would want is to make a new friend angry.]

As for people leaving here, it shouldn't stop you from being happy. I meant it in regards to finding friendship within this place too.

[She was finally starting to calm down a little bit better. Her blush was about half gone at this point. Resting her cheek on the cheek, she raised her eyebrow, trying to think of how to respond to all of this. Finally, one of the natural fall-backs came to her and she cleared her throat. When in a complementing battle, might as well resort to complements right back right?]

Well, you'll probably find someone to be happy with long before me. You're clearly a bit of a survivor, a kind-hearted person who tries to see the best in people and prettier than me, so... you should have the pick.

[Sorry, Parsee, that's how Haru is. If there was someone who was feeling low about themselves, it was only natural for her to do something to raise their spirits up. That being said, she was glad to see Parsee had calm down some.

Although, Haru wasn't expecting a compliment back at her. With that, there was a hint of red on her face as well before she cleared her throat.]

Oh um...! You think too highly of me, I'm just a girl who happened to be caught in a strange situation is all!

[That being said, she wasn't going to many anymore commentary before moving on!]

A-anyway, I'm not looking for anyone right now! I'm just more happy to send time with my friends and enjoy my time here! [Can she catch how nervous she was?]

So, I guess that just makes us both a couple content singles then? Once burned twice shy? I... can deal with that.

[She was chuckling now, seeming to ease some from her earlier discomfort. Seeing the way the other girl reacted, it felt good. They both clearly had a bit of discomfort when it came to this, which... yeah. She didn't feel like being too jealous for once. The girl seemed to understand in a more personal way than some did.]

Not like this place is great for courting and marriage anyway, is it? Just a weird little island in the great wide void.

I suppose so but it just means we can take our time! I know we both aren't in any hurry to find someone soon!

[That and after everything she's been through, marriage or romance wasn't in her card just yet. Right now, it was more important for her to figure out a solution to get back home. She still had a mission to fulfill]

While this place isn't ideal, at least we are able to make befriend people. I know I'm glad I met you!

They're so obvious it's kind of painful. I also think maybe ... give me a couple days. I think I might know a couple more. Tifa and Cloud seem like they're close, but I'm still not sure if it's actually 'that' way.

Ah...I see there are certainly a lot more people getting together than I thought! I'll have to keep that in mind the next time I meet Tifa or Cloud!

I mean... I don't know if they're actually doing it yet. I'm not that nosy. [She was absolutely that nosy. She just hadn't found out.] But I'm pretty damned sure Akechi is the top of that relationship.

Yeah, almost completely sure he's the top.

[That was when Haru found herself a little fluttered. The more she stared at Parsee, the more she couldn't help but clear her throat]

I-I see. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he was? Although, I'm sure Ren-kun would probably object to that?

[What was this conversation anymore?]

[Gossip and a means to deflect away from the idea of either of them being on the market, which it was doing a pretty good job of, at least for the moment.]

Heh. Yeah, he probably would. [She smirked.] But honestly? Not everyone's in a relationship. I think they're just... well, they're away from home and people get lonely in some cases.

I'm not sure how well anything that starts up here will last.
