kimihiro waits for him to finish thinking, is he remembering, what is happening? he figured he'd have no issues talking about it, when he was actually the one who offered to in the first place.
but then, something magical! kimihiro doesn't look annoyed at all, instead, he looks calm and empathetic, listening to leo tell him all about the misadventures they've had. a beat here is when he wonders why he wasn't brought in sooner, he could certainly have helped.

the answer itself isn't wholly satisfactory, mostly for the mere fact that leo would never comfortably be able to suggest that anyone is safe going into meatmentos... but it at least seems to placate him somewhat. his expression shifts from something less cryptically observant -- in a particularly amused but sharp way -- to more neutrally cheerful. ]
