Mmhmm! It's a lot of fun, though like, I don't get to do it a whole lot back home... Heehee, I guess that's what I get for being an idol, though. We do plenty of singing as-is with practice and shows and all, but like... Karaoke's just different, right? It is!

[Hold that thought—!]

An idol!?

[Tifa's eyes go wide with surprise. Karaoke as a hobby or just for fun on the weekends is one thing, but a full-on idol? She's never met one before! Not that it's a huge deal or anything, but...]

You mean like the ones on TV?

Mmmhmm, that's right! ( Ooh - ) Are you a fan of idols, miss?

I mean, who isn't!?

[Besides her excitement, there's a warm fondness that softens her voice at the memory.]

When I was looking after a little girl for a friend, we'd always watch those kinds of shows on TV. Mind you, they were cartoons in the mornings over breakfast, but same thing, right? Cartoon or not, the voices behind them are nothing but talent!

[It's really more about spending time with Marlene than anything else, but!]

... I'd love to hear you sing sometime.

Ask me whenever you want, dear. I don't know if the rest of my group'll join me — well, Leo-kun might, he's always excited to sing... But Izumi-chan might need a little more convincing. ( Nothing she can't handle though ☆ ) Have you met either of them? Mm... Leo-kun's on the shorter side, with bright orange hair and a lot of energy, and Izumi-chan's a little shorter than me - he's got silver hair and he's drop-dead gorgeous, though he's obviously not as beautiful as me.

I've met Leo. Not sure there's a person here who hasn't yet!

[She says that with immense fondness, of course. He has that kind of boisterous personality that makes him known the moment he enters a room, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. His good moods are infectious. As for Izumi...]

Haven't met Izumi yet. When you convince him, then I'll take the chance. We could all use a little bit of fun around here.

[Not that playing the piano or chatting with new friends isn't fun, but something small like karaoke would be a blast.]

Used to have those kinds of nights at the bar sometimes... People'd get together, put a song on the jukebox, and the whole place'd sing as loud as they could.

That sounds like so much fun... Too bad the jukebox here's starting to get a mind of it's own. ( but that's kind of endearing in its own right too, so she doesn't sound too bothered by it. ) A karaoke night'd be amazing though. I'd just like, have to sit it out or I'd blow the rest of you out of the water ♪ Like, no way would anyone here stand a chance of winning against me.

Don't get too cocky! You haven't heard me sing yet!

[She almost said Cloud Strife's name instead. Almost. Wouldn't that be a treat to hear Cloud sing...

That said, Tifa probably doesn't sing all that well anyway. At least, she couldn't compare to an idol, of all people. She might be able to hold her own, but...]

I'm sure after a few drinks, the rest of us might stand a chance.

[She winks, pressing a finger to her grinning lips.]

( Ooh, how tricky! Arashi grins right back, giggling behind her hand. )

You just might! Especially if it's the judges getting drunk. ( heheheh. ) Hmm... I wonder who should be the judges. Like, they can't be anyone super biased, right? Sooo... Ooh, the grumpiest people would be good.

[Well, if Arashi wants grumpy, then...]

Cloud and Kaiba for sure.

[Of course, she says it with fondness. Both of them are the Void's biggest grumps by far, but she still cares about them both.]

Might be easier to swindle them if we bribe them with free drinks, right? [Drinks are already free Tifa!!] Maybe they'll find their true calling as karaoke judges. Who would've thought.
