Heavenly Blanc Void Party

🥂 HEAVENLY BLANC VOID PARTY 🥂

Who: Everyone!
What: Heavenly Blanc mingle and info exchange
Where: The Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café
When: "August 1"; but really, what is time
Content Warnings: N/A

Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories.

🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party.

🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal.

🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone:

"Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you."

"It's nice to see everyone. Since we're stuck here together, let's cooperate well."

☕ OOC NOTES ☕

This is the open mingle post for the Heavenly Blanc void party! Please feel free to top-level and tag around.

There is a top-level included here for you to post OOC notes of what their characters have discussed on the log, as well as their own thoughts about the world. If there is anything important that people should know, please reply to the top-level with the information, so that it's easy to find for everyone. General info posts about what your character will be talking about are fine as well. Just please try to avoid multiple edits if you can as you thread if you are going that route! for the sake of my dw inbox...

Because this is an info exchange/mingle post, we encourage thread-jacking. However, we know that not everyone is into that kind of thing, so if you are okay with others hopping into your threads, please be sure to indicate it in your top-level.

Questions about the log can be directed to the ooc post.

Have fun!

REN AMAMIYA

[personal profile] forethinking 2020-08-01 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ren is not disclosing a lot of information. He will share that Heavenly Blanc holds resemblance to the cafe he worked at back home - LeBlanc.

As for theories, he will say it feels like it's pulling from their memories/psychology/experience and meshing together the bits that seem to make sense for whatever reason, but won't go too further on that either. He will be against the simulation theory if it is disclosed by void friends.
simulatio: (001)

+1 Goro Akechi

[personal profile] simulatio 2020-08-02 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Akechi is mostly following Ren's lead on what they're disclosing, though he'll specifically use the word "cognition" to describe what he thinks is happening here.
mightdoriya: (Default)

[personal profile] mightdoriya 2020-08-01 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Since he's mentioned it to people before, Izuku will let others who may not already know that the trash covered beach- Takoba Beach- is near identical to one back home where he's from, though it shouldn't be covered in trash anymore. So far there hasn't been anything else he's recognized.

He'll also briefly mention without going into deep detail that he's been through this once before, having been taken from his world originally and brought to a world between worlds called Fellden (Izuku is a game CRAU). He'll elaborate further if asked (though he realizes it's a lot to take in after a handful of conversations about it with others), but the long and short is that he's been around this block before. Right now though he's coming to the conclusion that he's not certain that everyone being brought here has anything to do with what was going on in Fellden before, mainly because nobody else is from there.
halloflamer: (They boost the power of DARK-type moves)

BLUE - (Location: Mt Silver; Species, etc)

[personal profile] halloflamer 2020-08-01 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
As Blue meanders around the bar serving drinks, here's the info he'd be dishing out!

Blue would explain that the mountain the bar is at the base of, Mt. Silver, has strangely altered geography from what he can tell by the ley of the land (for example, he should be able to see his hometown from the mountain, but none of Kanto/Johto's geography around it is correct).

He'll also provide information about some of the creatures the world has manifested that are recognizable to him as Pokémon, namely the Pidgey (which he's interacted with) and the Magikarp and Smeargle (which he hasn't seen personally yet). He'll share that they're species from his home region, but he'll share reports and his own observations that they both appear different, especially the Pidgey and Smeargle, and that his personal theory is that they're some sort of regional form (basically an alternate breed) of the ones he's familiar with.

He will also, with some impatience, explain what Pokémon are to anyone who hasn't yet gotten the rundown from another Poképerson (tl;dr: the wildlife of their world, sapient, understand human language but can't speak it themselves, tend to partner up with humans called 'Pokémon trainers' to travel and battle competitively amongst each other in teams). He's under the working theory that everyone's appearance here is the work of a legendary Pokémon (which you might eventually gather are his world's version of gods), but no guesses as to exactly what or why.

Lastly, he'll share his frustration with technology not working, since his Pokémon are stuck in their balls and his Pokédex (tablet, basically) isn't working.

Hornet

[personal profile] gitgudprincess 2020-08-02 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Hornet won't share much about herself, save that the massive structure off of Takoba Beach is "hers". The strength of this belief can be vouched for by most (if not all) who've tried entering that place since she started patrolling it.

She is solidly of the opinion that some higher power has physically taken parts of different worlds and melded them together, though she'll acknowledge the possibility of it being some kind of dream instead. Regardless of details, she's clearly looking for some singular entity to place the blame on.
koopacrusher: (Emblem)

Bowser

[personal profile] koopacrusher 2020-08-02 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Bowser will know to some degree what any typical relevant earthly creature is, (dogs, birds, fish, giraffes, et cetera) but the only creature of this world he is truly familiar with is the Piranha Plant. He will say that the tin can creatures are some kind of Piranha Plant hybrid, and that within their mouths a tiny version of the Piranha Plant may be found.

When speaking about being transported to another world, or the void, Bowser may explain his past experiences related to the matter. Bowser has been transported to another dimension without knowing why at the time before. He has also seen a "void" such as the one found before the creation of the world, and surrounding its known areas. Both of these experiences occured during his adventure to stop Count Bleck, who sought to bring about multiversal destruction. However, these actually orchestrated to some extent by a sorceror named Dimentio, the true mastermind behind the event, whose goal was to "destroy all worlds and create perfect new ones." However, the void he previously encountered featured some of the remains of the world that had previously occupied that space, the Sammer Kingdom. Bowser has observed no such remains in this world. Furthermore, no other journey to other dimensions has altered Bowser's powers or limitations, but the current world has.

Bowser does not believe the world is a dream or simulation. He believes that people and places from other dimensions were placed in a new world. Bowser also believes that an old world may have died for the new world to exist in its place, but he is unsure about this and does not want to believe that it is true. He has no theories regarding why physics, technology, and peoples' powers do not work properly.
bridge_princess: (008)

Parsee Mizuhashi

[personal profile] bridge_princess 2020-08-02 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Parsee takes some work to get information out of, but after she's had a couple drinks (Anyone that asks her age gets grumbled that "I'm older than your grandpa."), she finally loosens up.

The Bridge is "hers." It's almost identical to one from her world, but she's not sure it actually is the one from her world. She thinks that the things they're seeing might have been made out of the white stuff, but she isn't certain. She agrees with Ren that the things here seem to be drawn from their memories. She uses the illustration of an oyster and a pearl, about how the stone irritates the oyster and causes it to secrete the pearl around the pebble. They're the stone, and the stuff is being formed around them.

She kind of thinks their bodies might be white stuff too, which explains not needing to breathe. And, she doesn't think the world is 'finished' with trying to figure out how a world is supposed to exist, because they're still here and as long as they're here, it's going to keep secreting things around them until the pearl, or world, is finished.

She's rather proud of the illustration even if it ends up being wrong.

What she is: If she's asked "What do you mean the bridge is yours." She'll call herself a bridge princess, and say they always have a bridge. But it only probably means that she's a glorified gate guard to watch over people taking the bridge out into the void. Her other duties, she doesn't think matter here. At least not yet anyway. She doesn't clear that cryptic statement up.

ask me about my conspiracy theories with ahsoka tano

[personal profile] realway 2020-08-02 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Having at this point witnessed the weird phenomenon of the forest around Mortis Lake, Ahsoka will mention that she vaguely recalls something similar happening on a planet she once visited. If pressed for details she'll say she doesn't know anything more than that. As everyone here has some aspect of their memories pulled into this world, this is one she suspects is hers.

(for ooc context, the imprint is pulled from memories she doesn't fully recall.)

As for theories, Ahsoka is definitely in the simulation mindset of things. The fact that everything here just forms out of nothing and at random, that those things are all connected to people here, and how none of them seem to need to sleep or eat to survive raises a lot of flags for her. She'll explain to anyone who doesn't grasp the concept that a simulation is an artificial reality constructed to be lived in only in mind. Their real bodies are elsewhere hooked up to a machine, and they are only experiencing the world around them on a mental level. The people are real, but the world around them is generated through their memories.

The only thing she will admit that pokes holes in this theory is that the level of work to pull something on this scale off, considering everyone here is from different planets seemingly, is massive. So much so that unless the reasons behind it are serious, then it isn't worth the trouble. And while there have been some pretty insane conspiracies in the galaxy, kidnapping a random assortment of people to live together without any given reason behind it is probably not worth that effort.

Which leads to her second theory: if everything here is real and not computer generated, then she speculates the planet is itself alive. It's a living entity that both drew them in and is feeding on their memories to create itself. The planet needs them here in order to become fully habitable and whole, and once they finish doing that it may allow them to leave. How is THAT possible? Well! She doesn't know, but she isn't claiming to have all the answers either!

(it's the force. she doesn't want to go into the force because it's a secret thing for her, but she thinks the force is doing this, i'm sorry jedi are like this.)

[personal profile] twobee 2020-08-02 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
2B will mention that the stubbies are something from her world, and that she is unsure what the plant thing within them are. As to personal information, her being an android and basics about her home version of Earth (The year, the extinction of human, etc). Due to her interactions with humans here, she has a desire to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

She currently has no idea what this world is, but having seen Parsee's bridge drop into existence from nothing is pretty sure the thoughts of people here have some effect on the world at large.

local zoomer raihan angry that he can't take selfies

[personal profile] rotomphone 2020-08-02 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Raihan, along with backing up Blue's Pokémon explanations, will detail the significance of Hammerlocke and the stadium, with a quick and dirty run-down of the spectator sport-style battle culture in Galar. He'll go on to say that the city itself is Galar's historical capital, holding a vault with priceless historical artifacts. He also mentions that there is a power plant underneath the stadium, but that it appears to be completely inaccessible, along with the Vault and every other place of interest in the city. He also believes that this world and everyone in it is the work of a Legendary, or possibly Mythical Pokémon - either that, or they're all dead!

He'll make a frustrated quip or two about the ruined state of Hammerlocke; that everyone else's familiar locations, warped as they may be with each other, have more or less arrived intact while his was completely destroyed for reasons unknown. What he'll be more vocally annoyed about, however, is that his phone doesn't work, along with his Poké Balls.

Legion

[personal profile] forwearemany 2020-08-02 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Legion will mention the simulation theory, though it will mostly be to point out that it seems unlikely/the simulation would have to be more advanced than anything they know of, as even the Reapers, a species commonly seen as unknowable machine gods, are not capable of creating a simulation that can fool other synthetics.

Unless they themselves are part of the simulation, of course.

In fact, they could all be simulations, or AI copies of their original selves. (It's not an idea Legion fully believes, but they'll suggest it anyway as a possibility.)

They have not yet seen anything from their memories manifest in this world.

More importantly, like some others, they also aren't new to this whole alternate reality thing. Because they're pretty sure that that's what this actually is: a whole other universe, not just a planet or a simulation.

Prior to coming here they'd been in a world composed of ocean and islands, presided over by a "god" of stories. That world recently came apart, the last thing they recall is frantically shepherding people and wildlife to an escape portal before going through themselves. As far as they know, the Storyteller had intended to create a new world for everyone to live in, but this does not appear to be that world: none of what they fought so hard to save is here.

They're more than a little distressed by the fact that nothing came with them.

Madeline and Badeline

[personal profile] reachforthesummit 2020-08-02 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Madeline doesn't have much to disclose on her part. She would mention that the Hammerlocke Ruins look very similar to an old site she had passed when climbing a mountain, but she isn't entirely sure if they're the same place, since it wasn't explicitly named as far as she remembers.

As far as theories go, the two don't have much to go off of; they've experienced bizarre phenomena before, but nothing quite on this scale. From what everyone else seems to be sharing, the idea that whatever this place is is drawing from everyone else's memories seems correct to them, although Badeline suspects that some powerful mastermind is behind all of this.
yinception: (不可疾行)

Wuxian is just here for the drinks, sorry not sorry

[personal profile] yinception 2020-08-04 10:14 am (UTC)(link)
More seriously, Wuxian doesn't have a lot to share, and certainly nothing that's unique. He recognizes none of these places, and while the rabbit part of that one creature was his imprint, he definitely isn't connecting any dots there, in part because the creature is not a rabbit, and in part because surely anyone would recognize a rabbit?

Wuxian's main point of interest is how there's no spiritual or resentful energy (light and dark magic, more or less) here. He'll be a bit vague on his own use of the two, because resentful energy is bad, m'kay? We don't use resentful energy (except when we totally do).
He may mention how someone else (Merlin, though Wuxian isn't likely to say the name... actually he didn't catch the name, did he? XD) also pointed out how this world is "lacking in magical energy with which to work".
Basically Wuxian assumes there must be magic in this world, both the light and the dark variety. He's just not sure how to tap into it, because... it's not the type(s) he's used to.

Apart from that, he will be happy to share some basic info on his home world with anyone who asks. Poke me if you need details.

[personal profile] coordination 2020-08-04 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yzak will let it be known that the Messiah is from his world. A space fortress built into an asteroid that also had a hella WMD as well as weapons on it. BUT HE WILL ALSO NOTE it was destroyed, thankfully, even though it crashed onto the Earth's moon back home, so like, ????????
gardenerofavalon: (clairvoyance)

Merlin

[personal profile] gardenerofavalon 2020-08-07 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
HOO BOY so first, it should be noted that Merlin's not going to volunteer much information, unless it's to coax stuff out of someone else, because he's just like that. On the other hand, if someone actually asks and is reasonably polite about it/will actually listen if it ends up being a thing that requires a more detailed explain, here's what he's got:

There are people here from different worlds. He actually thinks this is important, because it suggests that whatever's going on is pretty darn large in scale. He came to this conclusion by the fact that some of the creatures present or described by others simply don't exist on the Earth he's from, and there's very little that he'd know absolutely nothing about on that front. As to why he considers this proof, it's because parallel worlds can't exist that diverge too strongly on certain key points; getting a full explanation beyond that would require catching him in JUST the right mood though so I won't bother writing that up. Just suffice it to say he's convinced.

Magic/powers/etc are not functional. Merlin will present this as fact, but will primarily say he's heard other people mention it. If pressed he'll admit he can't detect any magical energy to draw on for spells himself, but won't mention any other powers he possesses for now.

He suspects that there isn't anything in this world (other than the void) that's not somehow connected with a person who's found themselves stranded here. This just based on his conversations with several people and the weird, mashed together nature of everything. In other words, it's all essentially being sourced from, well, outside sources.

He doesn't currently believe it's a simulation because of the fact that people are from different worlds. Possibly the result of some kind of interdimensional experiment, sure that's possible, but anything capable of pulling people from multiple worlds seems like wasted potential on a mere simulation. He absolutely doesn't think it's a dream because he would (presumably) know if it were, dreams are his natural turf! Incubus heritage and all that.

He hasn't seen anything he specifically recognizes, other than of course he knows what giraffes and rabbits and such are!

He's calling the cabbitbirds "skvader" unless someone else comes up with a better name for them! It's just the name of a rabbit/bird hoax some dude came up with once so Merlin thinks it's both funny and fitting.
symbolofstrength: (thinking)

Samuel Oak

[personal profile] symbolofstrength 2020-08-08 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
He's another one that suspects that the landmarks they're familiar with are distorted copies made from their memories. So if you see a place from home in ruins, don't worry, it's not the "real" one!

He's also going to establish that he comes from a different world from the rest of the Pokemon cast, at least the ones that claim to know him. He knows that there's no Blue or Red in his universe, at least, and Pokemon Leagues work differently. If you have any questions about how Pokemon work, though, he's one of the best people to ask, since he studies them as a profession.

His first theory was that some kind of Pokemon was responsible for all this, but since most of the people here come from worlds without Pokemon, that one's a bust.

He's happy to share the sketches he's made of his observations, as well as ones he made from memory of Pidgey, Magikarp, and Smeargle (and possibly Girafarig, to compare to those winged giraffes?), so non-Pokemon folks can take a look at them for comparison. Just don't steal them or damage them, though you're welcome to copy them for your own records if you like.

(Also, do not go near the Piranha Stubbies unless you have to. They bite. He holds out his bandaged arm to show this.)

theforgottenboy: (I think I just crossed that line)

Cole

[personal profile] theforgottenboy 2020-08-15 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
When asked, Cole generally described/describes how this place has parallels to the Fade, which is a plane seemingly only his world has. His descriptions of it can be vague and fanciful, but it can be generally understood that the Fade is 1. where people go when they dream 2. where most magic comes from and 3. can also be shaped to reflect the memories of living beings, though in the Fade this is usually enacted by spirits and demons who don't completely understand the material world, hence why some things don't quite seem right or completely match up with their real counterparts. Some mages can influence the Fade as well.

That's why Cole thinks there could be a person/being who created this place based on all of their memories, whether intentionally or not. He's not sure though, since there are a lot of things here that aren't like the Fade too. He'll insist this place is similar but "too real" to be the Fade.

He also brought a nug chicken into the bar, briefly. Just because.
