... I don't know what a selfie is.

(it's apologetic, but there's an underlying annoyance - raihan hasn't explained it yet! how can he appreciate the art without exactly knowing what the difference between a selfie and a picture is?

at raihan's words, mugetsu reemerges, but only enough to see the gentle creature from kimihiro's collarbone. he still doesn't buy it completely, but sure. mugetsu snakes his way around wrapping himself around kimihiro's neck, watching duraludon's movements.)

He's Mugetsu, he's a fox spirit. Got quite the fanbase as of late. What kind of creature is this? It's nothing I have ever seen.

(kindly and gently, kimihiro offers a hand in case duraludon would like to be petted. it's a way of decreasing mugetsu's anxiety, after all.)

[ for a moment, Raihan is puzzled - who, after all, doesn't know what a selfie is? but it only takes a moment to remember his circumstances, and that it's possible, if not incredibly likely, that selfies just aren't a thing where this guy comes from. it's not a bother by any means - if he can spread the knowledge about the best ways to make yourself look good and inspire confidence, he will be happy to do so. ]

Oh, it's just a picture you take of yourself. Nothing fancy on the surface, unless you've made a hobby of it.

[ he gives him a wink, as if to say "like me!". he usually isn't one for subtlety, but now the conversation is starting to move from selfies to their respective companions. ]

A spirit, huh? [ he's not too phased - he's had enough run-ins with Allister's ghost Pokémon to know that they're not all out to scare the bejesus out of you. ] I can see why - he's pretty cute!

[ he won't offer his hand out just yet, seeing as Kimihiro has opted to first. Duraludon glances to Raihan first, as if to ask if he should entertain this stranger, to which he gives a smile and shrug. with the decision in his own claws, he shuffles forward a little and lowers his head a bit to welcome whatever pets may come. ]

This is Duraludon! He's a Pokémon - they're common creatures where I'm from.

[ it's about as general as he can get without diving into the tl;dr of it, but he'd be more than happy to ramble if this stranger wants him to. ]

(if raihan is puzzled, imagine kimihiro, being puzzled at raihan's confusion. is that such a normal activity nowadays? how can raihan determine the "best selfie" as is the proposal of this competition? really, too many questions that get swept when the subject changes to their companions.

mugetsu is glad to hear he's cute, and in kimihiro's opinion, all this attention is getting him a tad cocky. he wasn't expecting the cold touch of metal, even if his eye ditacted he should, and somehow he manages to find just the spot to scratch. seems friendly enough, and mugetsu snakes towards kimihiro's arm, wrapping at the wrist to boop duraludon with his tiny snout.)

Oh, I've been told of their existence. Tifa said it would be easier to understand upon seeing one.

[ he's a little less boisterous than he usually is, hoping that a calmer tone can communicate his explanations a little more. he might be fighting a losing battle here, but he's still going to try! Duraludon, on the other hand, is enjoying the attention with a pleased, low rumble, and blinks in surprise when Mugetsu boops his face with his own. ]

Oh? I didn't know Tifa was gossiping about us. [ he smirks, but it's in jest. he's sure that she had much more to say about Duraludon than himself, and for good reason! ] What had you confused?
