cleaning - merlaut apartments

( Arashi's been thinking, and she chatted about it with a few people too, but after cleaning her apartment with some help from Haru and settling in — she has Decided. No one should have to go through the same awful scrubbing they did, especially after just finding themselves somewhere new and confusing!!

Thus, armed with some (cleaned-up) cleaning supplies she found on the beach, she's knocking very politely on every door of Merlaut Apartments; if there's no reply but the door is locked, she moves on, and if there's no reply but it's unlocked, she's going in. Hope you lock your doors regularly!! Or are in to answer!!! Granted, she'll give a quick peek around and if it's not too bad, she'll head off, but if you're the messy type... She might at least pick things up a little. This is a call-out post for Leo Tsukinaga specifically.

As for empty rooms: they're definitely getting some elbow grease to look better. Out with the green sludge, in with the fresh flowers, pre-packaged food and drink, and cleanliness. Give her some assistance, or catch her at her newfound job... or when she's taking a break, frowning at how gross she's getting. She doesn't like sweating for no reason, but really, no one should have to deal with that when they move in. )

circle dramatica - wyndon simulation joint

( The most useful thing in this place is the map. The most entertaining thing is the play script, and while Arashi takes a well-deserved rest from all the walking around she's been doing, she decides to read it... and she's drying her eyes a little more than halfway through. Who knew a stage play about the trials and tribulations of a train's life could be so emotional...!

Really though, she's not in Dramatica for nothing, and it so seems like something Wataru would write... So she can also be found just acting it out, her script held in one hand as she practices her lines for, apparently the Lead Role - a train who wants to get out of a small town station and see the world for himself. Her voice is a little more boyish than her usual too, putting her vocal training to good use. )

"I don't want to be on this boring, dreadful line forever... I know I can do so much better out there, even if it means leaving this town for good!" ( dear god ) "This is what I want to do! Let me chug along the tracks I want to, Father!"

beautify your space - mortis lake, messiah

( Home is where you feel at home, and even after her space in Merlaut Apartments is all tidied up it... does not feel very homey.

So today, Arashi is on a quest to beautify, cutiefy, and stupendify her living space. )

Mortis Lake

( So, okay. The forest is weird with its coloring and its animals, and Arashi has managed to befriend one of the pegaraffes long enough to get its assistance in pulling down branches for her to check out... Granted, most of the time they're bare because they've been eaten in the ten seconds they spend in the 'raffes mouth, but it's the thought that counts. The pegaraffe accompanies her as she peers at the ground flora too, humming happily. Honestly, like, these are so gorgeous... And they're not on fire either!! It's a two-for-one bonus. Maybe with some of these, and the lilies from the church...

She'll be digging up some carefully and placing them into glasses she's brought with her, humming as she works.

Though, as the land suddenly flashes to its withered state - as do the removed flowers - she... stops...... and stares at her poor flowers... then up at her pegaraffe friend. )

...Like, you don't think they're going to do that at home, do you?

( .........the pegaraffe doesn't respond, either because it doesn't understand the question or because it's mildly disappointed the leaves are all gone from the trees now. )

Oh — bother.

Messiah - Underground

( Not exactly her idea of a good time to be here (it is kind of creepy to be somewhere that should be so full of people that is just- not that??), but it is somewhere with job flyers... And while most of them are garbage... well, pretty much all of them are nonsense, including the one she's picked up to do - which is to man the same rack and shout down any potential applicants for the totally legitimate jobs that definitely aren't just garbaled words that mean nothing at all. There's a good reason she's doing this too: the flyer she has beside her, distinctly marked as hers and taken by a compact mirror laying closed on it, has the reward of "a charming white clock" on it. She has a watch, but she doesn't really like shoving her hand in water every time she wants to check the time, so a normal clock she can apparently put water into to make it work is ideal!! Thanks!!!

So, passerby, you're getting one (1) very cheerful Arashi stepping your way. And, regardless if you guys have met already or not, she is presenting you with some pamphlets. )

Fancy trying your hand a job while you're here? There's something for everyone! And like, it's totally good to get plenty of different experiences, no matter where you are... It alllll helps you in the end!

tea break - lemon cello church

( There's no time like the present to learn how to brew tea on a little campfire. Given there's enough rocks to make lighting a fire easy, and there's plenty of material to use as fuel considering the Void doesn't really discriminate... Well, she's got time. Not every cup of tea is good - actually, judging by her face, most of it isn't - but when one's at least passable to her she'll approach one of the cacteddies carefully, greet it with a cheerful little hello, and set down the tea in front of it. With a wink! )

Enjoy it, okay~? It's brewed with love.

( Sometimes the tea is taken, if rarely finished. Sometimes it is not taken at all. Either way, she's gonna keep this up... Maybe she'll at least learn how to make a good cup of tea over a fire from this. The ones that aren't taken are left aside for other people to take though, closer to the actual cakes in the Lemon Cello Church, so enjoy??? )
