OTA } December Catch-All

Who: Noct + you! (with threads for Ann and Melinoe)
What: December Catch-All
Where: Out and about
When: Throughout December
Content Warnings: None to start

Hammerhead Book Stop & Garage

The appearance of Hammerhead's recognizable sign has Noct heading directly for it, another piece of home to go along with the fusing of the Citadel with Raihan's arena. It doesn't take him long once he gets to the garage to realize that something similar has happened here, though he can't guess whose library he might be looking at once he gets inside.

Noct spends a while inside looking through the shelves, spending the most time in the section of cookbooks for their extra familiarity. Eventually, he'll go find Prompto or Ignis to make sure they've had this weirdness inflicted on them, too.

Mount Silver

After his and Legion's close encounter of the dragoncarp kind, he's decided it's for the best if he sticks to the smaller fish in the mountain's streams. He can be found there for at least a few hours every day with his fishing pole and a cooler he found on the beach so he has a way to transport his catch.

Anyone's welcome to join him if they just want to hang out for a while.

Wallmarket/Bathhouse

Noct has noticed the rules in the bathhouse before, but he's also never really paid that much attention to them - especially the one about the fish. Now that it's been brought to his attention, though, he can't help but wonder...

After his latest fishing trip, he brings a bucket up to the market, one of the fish inside. He heads into the bathhouse as usual - but before he gets in himself, he reaches in for the fish and tosses it into the water.

For a long moment after it disppears, he just stares at the water. "Uh... what?" he finally asks - because yeah, he has no idea what to make of all this.

Wild Card

Noct can be found out and about at various locations around the world. He frequents Wall Market for the food, Heavenly Blanc for food and the pinball machine, Hammerlocke Citadel to continue exploring and looking for anything familiar, and anywhere his (or his chocotato's) feet might take him.

Ann had just been trying to have a Good Time™ with her friends when it happened: a sword suddenly appearing in her hand -- despite what she and Ren had tried to do, it wouldn't budge. Even stranger, is when Akechi had decided to come see what the commotion was about, there'd been a random burst of confetti and a medal that was not his that had lowered around his neck.

Today's a real weird day, to say the least.

Ren had, at first, helped Ann carry this big, bulky hunk of metal, because she knows she's seen it before, and she also knows who it belongs to and maybe he can get this damned thing off of her. But Ren has things to do too, and she can't really ask him to carry shit for her all day, either. So after assuring him that she's fine, she can handle this on her own, she sends him on his way and sets out to properly find Noctis.

She and Ren have already searched around outside the apartments, to no avail. Truthfully, Noct's apartment should have been the first place she checked, but she hadn't been sure which one he was in... so for the next hour or so, there's loud banging accompanied with a scrrrrr of metal against flooring and door frames as she knocks on the doors and tries to figure out which one is his.

Finally, as she comes down the last flight of stairs loudly, she pauses as she hears Noctis, and immediately she snaps to attention, looking in his direction.

"Oh, thank GOD! Noctis-san, I think... I think I need some help! This is yours, right?" she gestures to the massive sword stuck to her right hand, before she grunts and starts to drag it down the hallway towards him. She's tried to carry it, okay. And she can, for a little while, but after dragging this thing around all day, she's exhausted.

"It found me," she declares, sounding extremely pleased as he makes his way over. "I was hanging out with two friends and it just appeared in my hand. How do you carry this thing all day anyways?"

You know, other than being a guy with muscles and strength to be able to lug a huge piece of metal around for hours and hours and days on end.

"Literally I haven't even been able to put it down." To demonstrate, she opens her palm and shakes her hand out as much as one can with a heavy sword stuck to it. But alas... it does not move. "Maybe you can grab it and like... rip it off. Sorry in advance if half of my hand comes off with it."

Mel, in turn, awoke to a pile of letters, and after confirming they don't belong to either neighbor (seemed unlikely for Damien, but a maybe for Kimihiro), she set out for the message board, too. Great minds and all that jazz, yeah? Aubergine eyes scan for anyone possibly looking for said personal items and catch on the word cello, only to widen when it's for a lost/found one. It's not so much of a leap to think the instrument may be for her, and after leaving a tidy note of her own behind for the owner of the letters, Melinoë makes her back back to the apartments.

Thinking it best to keep the letters on her person, just in case, the Goddess tucks them into her messenger bag and knocks with a raised voice of, "Noct? It's Melinoë."

She slips in and gives the living space a cursory glance, semi-curious who else is occupying the place. But instead of asking, Mel announces, "Sooo, that Found ad you posted, about the cello? I'm wondering if it may be mine."

It isn't until the instrument is revealed that Mel crosses over toward it with a childlike, animated expression. "Dulcinea's parents gave her lessons." Running hands over the cello as delicately as one may a Fabré egg, she continues, "When we went into the dreamscape, I created a theatre for myself and played for a little while; Viridi, Parsee, Aerith, they found me at some point or another."
