It takes them a bit of effort to move the couch, in that they can't just lift it clear over their head like it's nothing, and have to instead resort to half dragging it.)

Access to extranet. A reliable source of spare components. Access to electronics that is not reliant on the presence of storms. Restoration of lost functionality. Knowledge of the world we left and the safety of our allies.

None of these are currently possible.

Most of them, not really. I've heard this world adapts to what it knows, so perhaps eventually it will learn that electronics rely on energy, and not the weather.
