We hereby start the Void Calendar! All over the Void since yesterday, several handwritten notes have been taped or stapled to the Void's most populated areas in the hopes to drive the people to the popular bar/cafe. Heavenly Blanc's exterior has been protected from any upcoming storms by a large awning, and more tables and chairs have been temporarily set to settle any issues of overcrowding on the inside. Upon entering, one will be able greeted by the aroma of curry, although the spices vary from pot to pot, and coffee and alcohol will be served throughout the evening.
Within the interior of the bar, a small space has been divided and cleared out -- next to the jukebox. There, one will find a few microphones resting on their stands, waiting for whoever is brave enough to sing on them to whatever is playing in Heavenly Blanc when the storm hits. Last, but not least, a whiteboard has been visibly placed next to the entrance. It reads: "Names of the Months", and you may either write your own or add sticks to vote on your favorites.CODING BY

That and she didn’t want people to think she grew up as a wealthy heiress. It was the only thing she could suggest without giving herself away too much.
“While I know that isn’t true, it does make me wonder!”
no subject
"There musta been a time I didn't know one end of a rifle from the other, don't mean I can't beat any folks here at shootin' now." A bit arrogant to say something like that, perhaps, but she's a Novakid. Marksmanship is kind of their thing. ...Well, one of their many things.
no subject
Regardless, she raised an eyebrow at Indigo before a look of amazement appeared on her face. "Goodness, I'm assuming you're a sharpshooter? That's amazing, I never thought I would get to meet someone who knows how to use a rifle!"
no subject
"Among other things! Here, why don't ya take a look?" She pulls out the weapon, moving her drink aside so she can lay it flat on the table. (Don't ask where she got that rifle from if Haru didn't see it before, ssshhhhh, spacey-wacey wibbly-wobbly.)
"This here's my fav'rite gun, and the only one that came with me. Course, it ain't been workin' since I got here, short o' that one time we all fell asleep." She crosses her arms in frustration.
"If it don't start workin' soon, I might have to make myself a bow or somethin'. I miss shootin' things."
...She doesn't mean that in a violent way, it's not like she wants to shoot living things. She'd be happy with inanimate targets.
no subject
"Goodness, that looks impressive! It must have taken you quite sometime to master it! I wish I could do the same but my bazooka can't shoot things either. I'm afraid it is simply a toy for now." She said with a disappointed sigh.
"I wish I could shoot a couple of things myself but I suppose we'll have to settle for target practice."
Aww yeah, cute girls geeking out about guns <3
"Until our guns are workin', I can make ya a bow too, if ya want. Process ain't hard, I just need the materials. And I can teach ya how to use it if ya don't already know."
Bows are a poor substitute for her beloved rifle, but when you want to shoot something, you want to shoot something.
Hell yeah!
And especially when she didn't know what to offer back to her. "I can't take advantage of your kindness like that!"
no subject
"Naw, it's fine! It'll give me somethin' to do." She crosses her arms, gazing down at her gun but somehow with a distant look on her lack of face.
"I thought I'd appreciate the vacation when I showed up here, but it turns out I'm not happy unless I'm workin' on somethin'." She looks back up at Haru. "Lucky fer me, there's plenty to do here."
She waves a hand again:
"If ya really want to do somethin' fer me, I can think of a few things."
no subject
"I would like it if you did tell me! But in return?" She said before giving a small pause. "Mind if I ask what do you mean by vacation?"
Indigo seemed like a friendly person so hopefully she didn't mind if Haru was being a little nosey.
no subject
But as she said... she's not happy unless she's busy. Just lying around in the sun is boring to her, not relaxing.
"Now as fer what ya can do fer me in return... well, y'know those concrete pathways in the mountain? Those are partly my doin', and I've got more ideas on projects ta improve this place. Could definitely use more hands if I decide to implement 'em."
So yes, that's what she wants in return. Manual labor. To be fair, she doesn't know what Haru's skills are besides shooting.
Sorry for the late replies!
Especially based on her words, it sure sounded like she was a little sad. But she decided to keep that to herself for now.
Instead, she gave a smile before giving a firm nod. "So you wish for me to help you create a pathway? I don't see why not! I do wish to learn how people who make those roads and what it must feel like!"
Because otherwise, how would Haru know what the common people did manual labor?
<3
"Well, not necessarily a pathway. I think we're done with those, unless they need repairs. Jus' improvement projects in general."
She still hasn't caught on to the 'pampered rich girl(?)' thing yet.
no subject
Or rather, she was more familiar with seeing other people to it. Although, based on her tone, she seemed far too excited to try this.
"I am assuming that this type of job is what you're use to back home?"
no subject
"Let's see... I guess I can start by showin' ya how to make concrete. I'm actually thinkin' of experimentin' with a new kind of concrete -- y'know how the mushrooms here got skin made o' rock? If we scrape all the mushroom bits off, we can try makin' concrete outta that."
Well, Haru's assumption is partially correct.
"Civil engineerin' is part of what I was trainin' for back home, but not all of it. It was more humanitarian stuff in general -- helpin' anyone in need." Though perhaps HUMANitarian isn't quite the right word, considering the many different species of the universe.
no subject
Perhaps she can find herself being useful in the Void after all.
"I see. Then it is a great cause you're doing as there are always a need to help others. I'm rather impressed you're using your training to create homes for them."
no subject
She does seem curious at her mention of plants, though.
"Growin' food's a noble pursuit! You got any special seeds or anythin'? The only plants I've seen 'round here are the mushrooms, and the trees, and a few flowers. An' grass an' such."
no subject
However, she shook her head.
"No, I'm afraid not. The only seeds I have are the ones I have back home. They're vegetable seeds such as tomatoes or carrots. They're nothing all that special."
no subject
"I think that's pretty special fer this place -- ya don't see 'em growin' wild, do ya?" She's at least familiar with those species, and more choices and resources is always good.
"How's that goin' for ya? Anythin' I can help with?"
