[ Cloud hasn't learned too much about Aerith and Zack, but he knows from his conversation with the guy that they were definitely together. Maybe still are? Ever since Zack's arrival, he figured he'd give them space.
Knowing she's secure, the bike finally takes off. It's a sudden start, although the speed at which they go becomes steady once they're on the road. ]
We'll go for one trip around the lake.
[ He doesn't prompt her to bring up her end of the bargain just yet, instead giving her the time to make that decision herself. ]
Alright, alright...no complaints here. [ She knows he isn't going to forget what she said, and she'd truthfully rather share it while they have a few moments to express it - and react - privately, without either expression in view.

...Remember, when we were going back to Sector 7 that first time - on the playground? I mentioned the first guy I ever loved. [ Jeez. She finds herself wishing she'd been able to talk about some of the more serious stuff (and so much more) with Zack before he left, to figure out...what he'd said to Cloud since, and what the latter even thought of the whole thing. ] I wrote him a bunch of letters while he was away. You know, with SOLDIER. So...that's what showed up, for me. All the letters I wrote to him.
[ Many, many more letters than anyone might guess, and never reaching their intended recipient, from what she knows. ]
[ He might have blacked out a little the first time she mentioned his name at the time, but he has since gotten to know the man himself, brief as it was. ]
