On the broken one, if you look at the yellow resistor at the bottom, it's backwards. The gold band should be going to the right, not the left, but that's unlikely to cause the machine not to work. We should probably check the wiring, but we'd need some flux and a soldering iron... to fix anything like that or else we'd risk burning the board.
