So, random thought: do you think this place is listening to us talk to each other like this? I mean, something here is alive, right? You suddenly get magical veins pulsing everywhere that somehow give us telepathy, plus the fact that there's a bloody beating heart underground! I don't know about you, but I bet it's all connected somehow. It's got to be!

[ what's the reason for it all? is there a reason? were they picked specifically for this world, or were they just the results of an unlucky draw? ]

[During the quakes, she'd been too afraid to journey too far underground. It was scary enough being in Wall Market when she felt them, and the tremors had brought back a wave of feelings that she'd rather not think about, and so she's avoided being down in the tunnels.]

[ Raihan would have avoided them as well, had Akechi not told him to stay away in the first place. his curiosity had gotten the best of him, and while he doesn't regret checking things out, it was hard to look at. ]
I couldn't get too close, but it looked like someone took something sharp to the walls. Some of the thinner ones were completely shredded... it looked painful.

[ it's all a little too convenient to be chalked up to chance. for once, this feels like something the world has responded to that actually makes sense, as grim as it is. who would be crazy enough, indeed... ]
If something like that happened to me, I'd ask for help, too. [ and the fallout that this could have worries him. if the world was unpredictable on a good day, what will it do when it's in pain? ] I'm just not sure what we can do besides try to get to the bottom of it.

Maybe it's just me, but feels like every time we get close to the bottom, the world just changes again. Adds something new or takes someone away. Gotta wonder if it's aware of that...
