moving day (between Merlaut and Kichijoji)
Now, she's on the final step: moving.
The Merlaut Apartments and Kichijoji are close enough that it's not a huge deal, but there's still a lot of furniture and other decorations to be dragged around. As a result, she's not likely to turn down any assistance that is offered to her!
Help her out? ]

Excuse me, do you need some help? That is a lot of things you're carrying there.
[Let Haru help you!]

[ The older girl's presence is certainly a relief. While the Void doesn't necessarily understand physical tiredness all that well yet, there's still something exhausting about lugging things back and forth for the second time since her arrival here. It's more mental than anything, she's sure, but the company is more than welcome.
Still, she doesn't want to immediately overwhelm her senpai either - that would be terribly impolite - and so she stops to adjust the boxes in her arms, handing the lighter one off to Haru once she's prevented herself from losing both in the effort. ]
Thank you so much! I'm so grateful for your help.
now we're cooking with slimeberries! (between Merlaut and Kichijoji)
O-Oh no! I'm so terribly sorry...!
[ But of course, the tree gives no response - nor does its fruit, the other pieces of which stare at her with wide, blinking eyes.
The one she's holding? No longer seems to blink. And so the girl is left standing next to the tree, staring down at the fruit in her hand, the mortified expression never once leaving her face. ]

From behind, she speaks up, reaching around Yoshizawa for a fruit, but not plucking it.]
Do they taste good?

[ Yoshizawa spins in place to look up at the taller woman, holding out the fruit with a look of panicβ and only then realizing that her question was one coming from a genuinely curious place, not one of judgment. Taking a deep breath to center herself, she steps aside so that Tifa can see the tree in its entirety, including the blinking eyes on the fruit. ]
They, um... They seem to have eyes, and v-voices too. I didn't notice until I b-broke one off...
[ She feels so, so terrible about it... ]

[Her reassurance is cut short immediately by eyes of the fruits suddenly coming into view. Something (everything) about the way the ones hanging on the tree makes her uncomfortable, making the pit of her stomach turn as the realization that they are staring back at her sinks in.
And then she looks at the one in Yoshizawa's hands, seeing that its eyes are no longer open. Panic starts to set in, and she reaches for it, but doesn't make a move to grab it, too afraid of what might happen if she does.]
I-Is it okay!?
[IS IT DEAD???]

I... I didn't mean to, I didn't notice the eyes until I broke it off, and... a-and thenβ
[ She shakes her head. It's too horrible to say that she heard its tiny, weak voice dying out... ]

[Tifa grips Yoshizawa's shoulders, trying not to focus too much on the lifeless slime between them. She's not quite sure what to do next, but she's come this far! No point in turning this back around.
What does one say to a girl who just...? Is that even what happened? What is even happening?]
They look like berries... I wouldn't have known either. Almost did...
[...]
Maybe we can... save it?
