[Oblivious to the missed social cue, he straightens back up after giving Felix a pet or two, if the critter allows it.]

I don't need a space like that. I can carry what I have.

[That hasn't really changed for him, aside from some armor that he doesn't have here. He doesn't need a whole room to store things like that, though.]

If this room is yours, I can leave.

[He may not think much of barging in, but he doesn't mind being told to get out if someone claimed it.]

[ Felix is definitely friendly enough to allow the attention, his head nudging happily into the pats. Rinoa smiles to see it; there's something comforting about it, especially after seeing the blades on her guest's back. It's for that reason that when he offers to leave, she shakes her head. ]

It's mine now, I guess? But you don't have to leave if you don't want. Besides, Felix seems to like you.

[ As if to confirm the girl's words, the creature gives a chirp, and rolls over to present his belly to Cole. ]

Of course, if I'm keeping you from something...!

[He doesn't crouch back down despite the apparent invitation for belly rubs, but there may be the faintest hint of a smile on his face.]

This place is new, so I'm looking for any answers it might have that the other places don't.

[Not the most urgent task, and so far he hasn't found anything other than identical rooms.]

It's good that it's here, so you have a place to live now.

[ Rinoa nods at his answer. That had been her initial purpose too, to explore the places that seemed to have popped up out of nothing in the middle of a landscape with which she had only just started to become accustomed. The fact that the building functions as a living space - albeit a messy, kind of uncomfortable one - is a bonus. But it's also true that for now, the rooms are all identical to one another, even outside of the trash that litters the floors and the gunk in the sink. She might have to make a stop at the beach later, see if she can find anything amidst the trash piles that would make a nice addition... ]

Have you found anything useful? From what I saw, all the rooms are exactly alike...

[ Felix offers another chirp at that, and butts his head against Cole's leg, making Rinoa laugh. ]

Felix! Stop being a brat.

No, not yet.

[Though "useful" can be pretty subjective. He looks down at Felix.]

It's all right. They're being friendly.

[He crouches back down to give Felix some more pets and scritches, before gathering him into his arms.]

These creatures usually are, so long as you're friendly to them too.

[ She smiles when Cole takes Felix into his arms; despite his initial - kind of terrifying - appearance, he seems quite gentle, really. And Felix seems to like him, so that's really enough for her. ]

Mmhmm! I actually met him just after I arrived here, and we've kind of been stuck together ever since.

[ And with everything she's ever known having been pulled away, she can't really complain about having some kind of stability.

...Which makes her wonder. ]
