at least there's no punching this time. or, like, advice on not dying? there's just cake. ]

[ Mr. Customer Service is at it again. As for his top two cakes? He didn't grow up with anything fancy, so his taste for desserts are embarrassingly dull. ]
Do-Nothing cake. [ Still, he'll act confident about it! ] My mom used to make 'em.
[ He catches himself accidentally revealing too much about his past, and quickly moves past that comment. He's gotta keep up his mystique, after all. ]

At any rate, Tifa's cheeks flush with pink at the thought, and she hyperfocuses on the cakes laid out on the platter. She gets what Leo means, and Cloud isn't exactly helping by bringing more attention to it either, but she's relieved when the moment's gone, their attention turned back over to the cakes.]
Alright, alright settle down!
[Let's not all get worked up about cake samples, boys! She's already gone Half Mom on you, don't make her go Full Mom and start waggling fingers.]

but leo can settle, as tifa says. he's used to it -- being scolded, that is. he won't push, instead weighing options in his mind. technically, he's... only really got three? he's got two that grabbed his attention already in mind, and those aren't all relevant-- ]
I'll take cheesecake, I guess? Ple~ase! [ don't forget his manners there. he points at said cheesecake cheerfully, then scans through the others. ] And, uummm... Which one of these are Do-Nothing cake? They all seem pretty productive, like they've got a lot going on, so I can't pick it out just through looks...!
[ he's aware it's probably not here, but he can't help his curiosity. ]

Look, sometimes less is more. That's why only the most skilled bakers can make these cakes, they know what's needed and what isn't. Only amateurs put in all the ingredients into one cake.

[Even if she has no idea what he's talking about. It's cute that he's trying... in his own little way. He'll get better at this with time! She's not sure how cake and music relate to one another though, but she thinks she gets the point he's trying to make.]
Don't know if there's a Do Nothing cake in this batch, though, but I could definitely put it on the list for next time, and hope that's what we get.

I get what you're trying to say, but that's a pretty poor analogy to use at a genius, y'know? [ STOP ] Like... Sometimes more is more! Sure, for some people they've gotta avoid putting too much into music 'cause it'll turn into a jumbled mess... But for me, it's pretty easy to add in everything and have it bend to my will. Every note, every tempo, every key -- they're all just, umm... what's usually in a cake? It's all just eggs, flour, milk and yeast for me! If you just stick to the basics, you'll never reach greatness!

also is this conversation even about cake anymore. anyway he's gonna go for this cheesecake sample first, okay. out came that fcking mess, and now in goes this cheesecake, as he moves right on like he didn't just give a giant, nonsensical speech in the middle of a makeshift cake shop in the middle of a void world-- ]

[ Why is he getting so worked up over this? He's neither an expert on cooking nor music, but if there's one thing he's skilled at, it's never admitting that he's wrong about something. ]
The Do-Nothing cake is the perfect lullaby. A timeless classic.

First, while the two of them are arguing about music, she helps herself to a small sample of cheesecake as well, to eat with Leo and stuffs it in her mouth while she listens.
Second, she's genuinely glad that he's taken to her suggestion, and beams at Leo with her mouth full.]
Right!? It'sh delishush! I'm sho glad you like it!
[Next, she has something to say about this whole thing, being something of a skilled piano player herself, and does so with the cheesecake still in her mouth, because she's completely serious about this.]
The Do-Nothing cake ish like when you're improvishing and— [She swallows that bite before finishing what she wants to say, to really drive the point home. Man, cheesecake is creamy and delicious, but can they get some water???] You know when you're going for something soft and lazy sounding, but then you press all the right keys anyway? And it turns into a nice melody that could put you to sleep...
[She looks between the two boys and presses a reassuring hand to Cloud's back. She's got you, boo. :)]
That's what the Do-Nothing cake is like.

he's stuffing the chocolate cake sample in his mouth in that lull. he'll try not to choke on it as he recovers and laughs, even if it would be doing everyone in this room a favor. ]

Yeah, you know when you're going for something soft and— [wait. Why the hell is she talking about it again!? Tifa stops, just before she pops the piece of cake into her mouth, and stares down at the cake that was supposedly eaten not even half a minute ago. She looks back up at Leo and Cloud.] That's not right...
