Who: Lysandra Weiss
What: Arrivial
Where: The Void, Cafe Le Blanc
When: September
Content Warnings: Possible mention of fantastical racisim
The Void
[Lysandra had arrived planted firmly on her rear. Just a moment ago she had been studying for class in her room when her usual rocking back and forth in her chair caused her to topple over and, without her knowledge, spin into a new dimension. Upon landing, the books she had piled in her lap spilled all over the place, landing at random, and causing the frazzle harpy to frantically collect them after she got up.
Upon finally getting her collection of tomes firmly in her hands, Lysandra looked around herself, saw the white expanse she had arrived in, and began to shriek loudly.]
Where the heck am I?!
Heavenly Le Blanc
[After wandering for some time, Lysandra had found her way to the Heavenly Le Blanc in more or less good condition. Though her feathers were ruffled, and her downy hair in terrible condition, and her body trembling just a bit. she still found enough drive within herself to sit at a table and read. Because even if she was take to a different world, thrown into a void, then wandering the wilds for hours, there was still time to study for her upcoming test... you know, just in case.

Hey! Are you okay?!
[Please stop screaming; his head hurts enough already.]
no subject
Hello! [She yelled] I think I'm fine, but I have no idea where this is.
no subject
[He moved closer to her - and blinks a little when he notices the feathers.]
I think I might be dreaming, actually.
no subject
[An interesting question for sure. But she would ponder it later when she wasn't stuck in a literal void.]
If that is the case, I wish I could just wake up.
no subject
[He frowns a little - he's worried about the others and what might be happening - and then shakes his head.]
Anyway, um... I think there's some actual stuff over there.
[He's just going to point in the direction that there is actually something besides just a void. He's definitely seen a forest and a lake.]

Narrowing his eyes, he looked first to the book, to then gaze over to the frazzled looking girl. Presumably the owner of said book. He would have been content to leave the object where it lay but he was mildly curious about it's contents. They didn't get a lot of reading material here.
Leaning over, he scooped up the book flipping it over in his hand to look at it's spine]
no subject
Ummm...can you help me? I don't know where I am and need to get back home before school starts tommorow.
no subject
Not likely, but I'm equally sure you can't help me either. [Pausing but a moment he proceeded to explain] School is the least of your worries, and I don't think anyone has decided on a name for ... whatever this is yet.
This section they just refer to it with the highly unimaginative name, the Void.
no subject
[She thinks for a moment, then sighs.]
Is there really no way I can get home?
I'm sorry for him >.>;
[Shrugging to that and not mirroring the sentiment]
There has to be, but if I knew the way I wouldn't be here to answer your inane questions.
no subject
[Hey, to be fair, eternal white nothingness would be terrifying on an existential level to most people. Lysandra wasn't going to push the matter though, she just wanted to get back in time for her test.]
You really don't have to put it like that. I just got here.
no subject
[Kaiba had assumed her to be in her teens, but not so late. Her line of thinking wasn't wrong, and initially the sheer nothingness might have bothered him more than he let on. Now, he was more used to it.]
[That he answered with silence before switching subjects]
What are you studying?
no subject
[She was mildly interested, but mostly spoke to try to shove the conversation in a direction that Kaiba might not be a total jerk about.]
Ummm, Subspecies history. We were working on the 2050-60s in class before I ended up here.
no subject
[It wasn't a bad angle for trying to soften him up, he did enjoy his share of bragging...]
That explains the wings... [..but before he could finish that with any sort of witty remark Kaiba was struck silent. Then in a rare show of an emotion he added:] Did you say 2050-60?! [It could have been all rubbish, like most things here but let's face it even his skepticism had it's limitations. The individual people might truly exist somewhere even if this world didn't. If the 2050s were the past to her, then... all his beloved technology was likely obsolete and rusting apart in some abandoned landfills....] What year is it currently?
no subject
[The bird girl cocked her head to the side in confusion at Kaiba's strange response.]
2100, why do you ask?
no subject
That's.... over a century in the future!
[His words tinged with a negative edge. Growling, he tried to reign himself in.]
That's just greeeeaaaatttt.
no subject
[This was getting weird, but Lysandra's curiosity wouldn't let her drop such a strange topic and pushed further.]
Are you from the past? How is that possible?
no subject
[There was some doubt on that..]
Where did you say you're from? [She didn't, but he wanted to know so it was a perfect segue]
no subject
[She sighs. This all really was far too much to take in.]
Um...I was born in a small town outside Chicago, Illinois in the United States. But I'm currently going to school at a university a few hours away from there.
no subject
[The only harpies he'd met before this were digital holograms]
Guess that means the United States still exists in 2100. What about Japan?
no subject
no subject
I doubt this is really what you want to talk about... [She'd put up with him this far and answered his questions without giving him flack, he'd give her a freebie]
You might want to head towards what passes for civilization here. It's roughly in that direction [Jerking a thumb over his shoulder] There's not much to see out in this area.
no subject
[She yawns a little.]
Is there any place out there I can go to rest?
no subject
... I wasn't planning on playing travel agent today.. but plans change. There are places more fitting for that. [Why not. He'd help this girl for a little while]
I'm not sure however rooms are still available, but there is an apartment complex, and the price is right. It's free. The café is closer but you could reach either one quicker with those wings. [Nodding towards them and not realizing the error] Depends on what you consider relaxing...
The Void
She could see the speck in the distance where she was standing, seated at the edge of the bridge on the void side. Her eyes gazed into the distance and she squinted. They could barely see this place probably. But with the uniform white you could see someone from a long long way away.
...
Assuming distance was working right. Shouting, she hoped it carried because sometimes it did.]
You're nowhere! Come over to somewhere!
Re: The Void
But that was best left for a lecture back home, for now, she would follow Parsee's voice and quickly run to what was described as "somewhere."]
no subject
Yeah, don't worry, you'll get here eventually!
no subject
[Lysandra sighed a bit of a relief as the void gave partial way to the "Something" Parsee was talking about a moment before. It wasn't home, but it was better then walking through what could pass for a lazy vision of the afterlife.
Even though she was trained in the art of running, at one point the bird-girl stops to get her breath before resuming her dash.]
no subject
Well, there you are. You new here?
[She definitely looked new, but Parsee was about as social as some rocks some days, so who knew? She was eyeing the harpy, curious. Looked pretty normal, other than the wings. Lucky.]
no subject
Wherever here is I'm new there...I think
no subject
We haven't figured out a name. But we call the white the Void, so... yep. Welcome. So... uh... you're not a Tengu are you?
no subject
[She attempted to laugh, but it came out more like a wheeze.]
Excuse me, this whole mess has taken a lot out of me. Um...to answer your question, no. Most people call humans like me harpies.
no subject
[Seeing that the girl was winded as hell, she sat down on the steps leading onto the bridge, motioning for her to take a seat.]
Yeah, it's a lot, and it won't get easier, trust me. Ah, ok. Harpy. I've heard the word in the past. don't think they're too close to Tengu, but you both have avian features anyway. Harpies are kind of a western thing I wanna say.
no subject
[Though she can't quite recall just where she did, Lysandra sits down anyway too tired to think too hard about anything at the moment.]
They're a creature from I want to say Greek mythology. But it also happens to be the term that stuck to describe humans like me. I feel the term is a little offensive myself. But we've been called that for so long I doubt anyone cares enough to change it.

no subject
Gets kind of irritating at points.
no subject
[Lysandra really had no idea what half of that meant but she nodded along just in case.]
Um, my name is Lysandra by the way. I feel like I should have thrown that out sooner.
no subject
Parsee. And don't worry too much. Folks are always a little confused when they show up the first time. this place's weird. Trust me.
no subject
[Short version: Humans are dumb.]
Is there a place I can go and rest for a while? All of this is exhausting.
no subject
So, up the path from the bridge there's a cafe and bar. Heavenly Blanc. Stick to the path and you can't miss it. They can give you directions to the apartments most folks live in, that sort of thing.
no subject
[She stood up, stretched a little, and then smiled.]
I think I'll get going now. I really need to lay down and take a nap.
no subject
[She got up and paused for a moment and then shrugged. Nah, she wasn't going to charge this one a fee for the bridge. She wasn't annoying.]
