meditation
much of her meditation is spent by lake mortis, allowing time to pass as the trees around her lived, died, and then returned to life again. she wasn't too sure for a while they did so, but recent events made her realize this was her contribution to this world. maybe that's why she felt so in tune by the water?
if you come across her, cross-legged on the grass by the water, you will also come across something else. there is an unusual green-white convor perched on a tree, watching over her and taking note of any passing people. and if you choose to watch ahsoka for a little too long, the convor will flap its wings off the branch and swoop down to land directly on top of her head, between her montral horns. ]
Hey!
[ her concentration is broken then, shaking her head to get the bird to disembark, not yet realizing someone is near. ]

[ A semi-familiar brunette in a pink dress is passing nearby, pausing when the bird swoops down and alerts Ahsoka. Aerith offers a smile and a wave, basket of flowers over one arm, which she shifts to the other as she halts her walk. ]
Sorry - Didn't mean to interrupt! I was just kinda lost in thought, and I think maybe staring a bit, by accident. [ There's a pause, and then her gaze drifts to the bird. ] You've got a pretty watchful companion, there, huh?
no subject
Aerith. [ she greets and then looks to the bird, who has flown back up to a tree branch in view of both women. ] Ah, yeah, kind of. She's... a friend. Of sorts.
[ the convor makes a soft chirp, a little lighter than an owl's hoot, and gives aerith a look. ahsoka focuses on her too, catching sight of the basket. ]
Gathering flowers?
no subject
[ At the question, her smile grows a bit, and Aerith tilts the basket a little so Ahsoka can see the flowers within. ]
More like delivering them! I don't normally do that myself, but I wanted to take a walk around today. Besides, even Cloud needs a day off.
[ As such, she withdraws two flowers - one white lily, and one yellow - and offers them in an outstretched hand. ]
For you!
no subject
[ she feels like she knows it, on the tip of her tongue, but it hasn't quite registered yet. akin to the lost feeling in the memory exchanges.
but she has little time to dwell before aerith offers her two flowers. she looks at them with wide eyes and a baffled expression, but takes them both between her thumb and two fingers. ]
Thank you. [ she smiles. ] I've, um, never got flowers before. What do I do with them?
no subject
Aerith blinks in response to what Ahsoka says, lips parting in surprise, before - ]
Never got flowers before? Really? [ This. Is a crime that she will right. ] Well, I'm happy to help change that! As for what to do with them... Most people just put them in water, like in a vase. They're nice to look at, and all.
[ Or they could be used as a corsage, or to put in your hair, or any number of other things!! ]

[ the jedi did not take to owning things. belongings were personal attachments, and forbidden by the order. she thought it made sense back then, but now...
she hums and, after a thought, pulls the strap of her headband and tries to tuck the stem into it. she adjusts the strap down and the flower rests above her left eye... it almost obstructs it. ]
Hah, the joys of having no hair.

[ You know, if she wants. The brunette grins, turning her smile from the other woman out to the direction she knows the Lemon Cello church lies. ]
Shared dorms, huh? That must've been nice... [ Aerith sighs wistfully, cocking her head to the side. ] Harder to get lonely, anyway. Or, that's what I think, but...I've never lived in a place like that.
no subject
My upbringing was... different.
[ her shoulders slack, arms loosely crossing across her chest. it's still a sore spot, but her experience losing and regaining all her memories has given her time to really think on it more. or at least, to stop avoiding it. she thinks that's why it happened. ]
We shared dorms because we were always on the move, going planet to planet. Having a personal room was unnecessary - it was seen as an attachment, and attachments were forbidden.
[ she explains with with a clear conflict bordering on dissatisfaction in the slow list of reasoning out. having her own room is a lot nicer than she expected it to be. ]
html.............
...At least you got to see a lot of places, right? Going to different planets, and all. And...maybe you met a lot of interesting people, too?
[ Even if she didn't let herself get attached, based on the restrictions.
Aerith adds, gently: ] I'm sure it was tough, but...you seem like a really strong person. I hope things here - being so different - aren't too hard for you.
[ She imagines it'd be a hard transition, going from a more sparse and rigid lifestyle to-...well. Whatever it is they all do in the void. ]

Got a new friend?
no subject
Yeah, I guess so. She's been following me around the last couple days.
[ and though ahsoka doesn't know the bird, she gets the distinct feeling that she does. it's hard to put into words. ]
Funny enough... think I had a dream about her? The first time I fell asleep that is. Feels like I slept a lot.
[ she says, completely oblivious to what everyone had just been through. ]
no subject
[You know, so she had something to be jealous about, because that's what she wanted. Besides, Ahsoka having better dreams was good in general.]
I think we were all asleep for ... it' hard to say. The clock's finally working right, but it doesn't exactly keep track of days.
no subject
[ she isn't too sure how long they've been on this planet now. it's hard to keep track, but ahsoka doesn't find herself minding too much. not like she had anywhere to go before she arrived... ]
What kind of dreams did you have though?
no subject
...
oh and all the walls were pulsing flesh, which was really weird and unecessary.

This place never goes half measures.
[That wasn't actually why it made sense to her. It had to do with Ren, because Joker and his friends were really flashy at time, so why wouldn't something associated with them be flashy in the same way?]

[ dreams are nice because they're harmless, even the worst ones. but a dream that comes to life, trapping people in it, makes her wonder what sort of power this world has to influence them. ]
...I wonder if the memory swapping has something to do with it. Like, how we just lost and then regained everything, and so our dreams ended up being twisted by that experience?
no subject
Hmmm... you know, that's a thought. Our heads got all jumbled together didn't they? Which might mean our dreams are getting jumbled tog....
...
Let's hope that never becomes physical. I saw those weird pig things. We don't need to get physically mixed together.

Oh, what Parsee? You don't want to share a body with me and be a two-headed abomination? I'm a little hurt.
[ the vibe is bad, time to snip. ]
ya know, usually this icon comes off more sinister than intended, but she never laughs, hah
We'd have to share a brain and you know it. I'd always be the brainless one, so let's pass on that. [Giggle.] Good one, by the way.
no subject
[ she laughs along with parsee, the joke a little on the dark side but eh. it isn't the worst joke she's heard. growing up in war has changed her and not entirely for the best. ]
no subject
[She might have picked up on one of the secrets behind all those moody bits of jealousy. Play the emotional manipulation card like she did all the time, and you could nudge people around with it pretty easily. But she was getting convinced that Ahsoka was actually pretty smart, particularly when it came to understanding social interactions and motivations.]
But if I'm too brainless, I have to be the muscle for the two of us. That could be a problem, heh.
