[ before sleep came to this world (and rather recently at that!) ahsoka would meditate as a form of resting. she could pass a long stretch of time in silence and isolation, but because of the circumstances she only used it for that purpose. now with sleep having returned, she can meditate without needing to do so for that one reason.

much of her meditation is spent by lake mortis, allowing time to pass as the trees around her lived, died, and then returned to life again. she wasn't too sure for a while they did so, but recent events made her realize this was her contribution to this world. maybe that's why she felt so in tune by the water?

if you come across her, cross-legged on the grass by the water, you will also come across something else. there is an unusual green-white convor perched on a tree, watching over her and taking note of any passing people. and if you choose to watch ahsoka for a little too long, the convor will flap its wings off the branch and swoop down to land directly on top of her head, between her montral horns. ]

[ her concentration is broken then, shaking her head to get the bird to disembark, not yet realizing someone is near. ]

[ the appearance of the blurrgs has not escaped ahsoka's awareness, though due to a bizarre stint of long-term sleep she has had little time to engage with them. she has always enjoyed the blurrgs since getting acquainted with how the twi'leks tamed them for mounting, but she has never known them to be feathered. it has surely merged with another beast she is unaware of.

so today she walks with a couple smaller ones that have lost the way from their pack. they wandered so far off they're actually nearby heavenly leblanc! poor things. she walks between them, gently stroking ones back with a smile. ]

So you're definitely blurrgs, but what else are you? Your beak makes me think of a Kiros, though orange is a strange color for them. Any thoughts?

[ one of the blurrgs makes something between a growl and a squawk, and she smirks. ]

What! No way. Really?

[ she has no idea what that noise meant. ]

[ blurrgs, as she knows already, are more than willing to give you a ride on their back if you establish bond with them. she's glad to discover this aspect of their personality has remained intact in their creation on this world.

what it means is ahsoka now has a lift to get around the place, and she is absolutely going to take advantage of it. getting around mount silver is a breeze with the blurrg stomping through the tunnel system and arriving at the wall market in style. the stands are full of delicious food as usual, and she's eager to hop off her mount to grab as many skewers as she can hold.

one hand of skewers is for her, but the other? well, she's going to be holding it out for the blurrg to munch on. ]

Good girl.

[ she affectionately praises, giving the blurrg a strong rub on its feathered head. and, if she notices someone staring, she'll give them a smile. ]

[ go explore the new area, she thought. it would be fun, she absolutely thought.

she did not think she would get lost.

the dark and disturbing atmosphere of the underground tunnel system gives the impression of the maze beating with life. if she could feel the force outside herself, she can't imagine the presence of light being anywhere in this area. that's why it's important to explore however. she wants to learn more about this world and how it works, and that this could form below the surface? its sinister.

however she definitely miscalculated her normally good sense of direction. perhaps that too was something the force gave her, a compass to always find the light. now she walks down dark tunnels only illuminated by an eerie haze.

perhaps you too are lost down here? or maybe you noticed that ahsoka hasn't been seen anywhere in a short while and thought to search? either way, she continues to walk and rest in cycles to keep her strength. at least she isn't hungry... or not that much. not yet. ]

[Viridi just stares for a moment.]

That is... definitely an animal...esque living being, which means I am... mandated to love it more than I love any of you, even if it's, uh, not immediately lovable at first glance.

Yes. Just... feeling so much love. And no repulsion. Zero repulsion.

[ ah yes, her favorite temperamental goddess child. her favorite by default really! ]

I think she is perfectly lovable. Blurrgs are very dependable and docile beasts. To call her repulsive is not of your standing, isn't it?

[ the blurrg blinks at viridi, expectant. ]

(They are heading toward Heavenly blanc themselves when they see Ahsoka talking to the creatures.)

We did not believe the creatures of this world were capable of advanced communication comprehensible outside of their species?

(Is she just engaging in the organic habit of talking to animals as though they can understand? Probably, they think.

Still, best to verify. There is someone here who can talk to plants, though Aerith has stated that the plants of this location do not speak as they did in her world.)

[ ah, legion. ahsoka quirks a smile, resting a hand on top of one of the blurrgs to give it a signal to stop moving. ]

Hey Legion. [ she shrugs, then- ] I'd like to think they understand me. At least a little.

[ though it strikes her that they might not be familiar with this animal. ]

Blurrgs - at least they're one-half that - are normally used for cattle and transportation. They're very intelligent creatures though! I've known military forces in the galaxy to train them as mounts.

[ A semi-familiar brunette in a pink dress is passing nearby, pausing when the bird swoops down and alerts Ahsoka. Aerith offers a smile and a wave, basket of flowers over one arm, which she shifts to the other as she halts her walk. ]

Sorry - Didn't mean to interrupt! I was just kinda lost in thought, and I think maybe staring a bit, by accident. [ There's a pause, and then her gaze drifts to the bird. ] You've got a pretty watchful companion, there, huh?

[ ahsoka twists in her seat to catch eye of aerith, a small smile coming with familiarity. ]

Aerith. [ she greets and then looks to the bird, who has flown back up to a tree branch in view of both women. ] Ah, yeah, kind of. She's... a friend. Of sorts.

[ the convor makes a soft chirp, a little lighter than an owl's hoot, and gives aerith a look. ahsoka focuses on her too, catching sight of the basket. ]

Gathering flowers?

Chocobo. Never heard of them. Must have a lot of feathers though.

[ blurrgs definitely do not. they're more reptilian than avian, that's for sure. ]

But yes, I am. They got a little lost from their pack I think. Didn't see any others around but them, so I'm looking for their group.

I'd say the frame is more general. As in, universally known to be adorable.

[ survey says that's a lie, but ahsoka will keep spreading misinformation in the name of giving blurrgs love and affection that they deserve.

the blurrgobo squawks out a gross growl of a sound and leans its mostly-head body into viridi's hands. it might get a little slobber on them. precious. ]

[The drool drips onto her fingers and the liquid is viscous enough that her subtle attempts to wipe it back onto the blurrgobo are largely unsuccessful.]

[The blurrgobo opens its mouth at this point to burp lightly. Viridi's hair flower wilts.]

They are flightless birds large enough to be used as riding animals.

[Seto couldn't help it, when he saw the girl riding on the bulky partially feathered creature he had to stare dumbfounded. The first thing that came to mind, rolled off his lips.]

Somehow, I never considered that the walkways I had installed would be traversed by anything that massive...

[Not that he could verify that she'd even utilized them. The paths didn't take up all of the tunnel space. Mentally he ran over the numbers again for the load bearing capabilities of the materials and supports in place ultimately determining that they should be able to take it. The choice of materials made all the difference.

It had been a while since he'd last seen Ahsoka and given the exchange he doubted that she would want to deal with him again. I mean- she'd seen how willing he was to push boundaries in the past and he hadn't tried to convince her that he had improved as a person over time.]

[Yeah, the staring continued long enough for the convor to land on her head. That was what finally got her to stop being a little bit of a creep and staring at an ostensible friend as she was meditating. It made her snicker a little, and finally she started to walk around so that Ahsoka could see her more clearly.]

[ the bird, after a little swatting, finally gets the hint and swoops up to get out of her (not literal) hair. ahsoka huffs, her concentration broken, and then sees parsee coming up from the periphery. embarrassing for sure. ]

Yeah, I guess so. She's been following me around the last couple days.

[ and though ahsoka doesn't know the bird, she gets the distinct feeling that she does. it's hard to put into words. ]

Funny enough... think I had a dream about her? The first time I fell asleep that is. Feels like I slept a lot.

[ she says, completely oblivious to what everyone had just been through. ]

[ she says, gesturing both hands to the blurrgobos beside her. ]

Yeah, the known planets in the galaxy are rather inhospitable. Giant spiders, giant cats, giant reptiles. [ a beat, then- ] Just imagine a lot of giant beasts that want to eat you.

Blurrgs, at least, don't. That makes them the best.

[ oh yes, this guy. she takes note of him even before he opens up his mouth. shockingly, he does not say anything to immediately annoy her. ]

Yeah, blurrgs are pretty compact! This one must be pretty young actually. [ though not too young that she feels bad about hitching a ride on it. ] Legion told me they've been merged with something called a chocobo? Never heard of them, but they must be birds of some kind.

...So, you gonna feed her?

[Viridi specializes in giant beasts that try to murder humans.]

Giant cats sound downright cuddly. You could practically ride one. Like a bus with many legs.

[Iwaizumi has been quietly (and confusedly) observing, half drawn in by the bizarre overgrown chicken(?) creatures, half by the odd-looking woman(?) interacting with them. When she appears to be speaking with the animals(???), he cocks a brow and speaks up.]
