[ anyone can wear clothes - it's the drip that counts. coordination is key, and even the most basic uniform can be made into something cool if you're creative enough. this is clearly something new to Turing, which means it should be treated with the utmost importance!

he strokes his chin as he glances over the options set out for them, looking between the displays and Turing. he takes note of their inclination towards those colours - risky if put together, but he's not going to put them off just yet. ]

Dunno! I guess they really wanted to lean into the school theme. [ it's almost definitely not that, but it's a little disappointing to only have uniforms available. ] But I bet you we can get a little creative with the dress code!

[ he strokes his chin, striding over to take a few colour variations of the neckties on display. he kneels down to Turing's height, holding them all up next to their head to try and get an idea of what would go well against the light blue of their facial screen. ]

[ Turing was still somewhere between overwhelmed and curious, but for each necktie Raihan brought over they would quickly stand up straight in response. They were just school uniforms, true. On the other hand, Turing had never gone to school before, so there was some novelty there, even if the hardest part--or rather, the hardest question--had just revealed itself. ]

...Do I have to pick only one?

[ There were so many nice colours out there! Turing had spent their fair share in front of their easel agonizing over what colours to use, but in those circumstances they could at least pick more than one. The best they could do was pick one of the colours they liked best. ]

I like purple, though I prefer lighter shades like mauve or heliotrope.

Not at all! I'm pretty fond of navy blue and orange, myself. [ he grins - his uniform and hoodie are probably good enough proof of that. ] But if you do want to wear two colours together, you should make sure they're not clashing too much. Colour theory and all that.

[ he won't lie; he has no idea what heliotrope looks like, but he's sure it's a very pretty-looking purple. a blazer in that colour with cream accents might look nice... he nods to himself, rising back up to look at the uniforms in cooler colours. ]

Gotcha, gotcha... [ he examines the blazers, picking out a small, Turing-sized one in a mauve that he thinks would fit the robot's tastes. he turns back around, showing it to them. ] Did I nail it?

[ Colour theory! Of course! Raihan may have said it in an off-hand way, but for a budding artist like Turing, that was more than enough to put things into perspective. They nodded to themselves too, even though the reasoning was different.

They also took note of Raihan's colour preferences. That piece of information was going straight into their personal memory. ]

[ So there was something in their size! And the colour...! Their expression noticeably brightened, and they immediately held out their hands to accept the blazer. ]

I hope you didn't, as I would like to wear it without nails, but I do like the colour!

[ Uh. Sorry Raihan, there were still some idioms that they didn't understand. ]

[ he still doesn't know anything about Turing's artistic hobbies, so will just assume that the AI is confirming their understanding of the concept. even with that in mind, though, it won't stop him from speaking to them as if they were human. ]

Er... not exactly what I meant, but it's alright. As long as you like it!

[ even with the silly misunderstanding, he's chuckling a bit to himself as he grabs a crisp, white uniform dress shirt in a similar size. he eyes the rack of bottoms as well, making a note to ask about Turing's preferences before passing the shirt over to them. ] Put this on under it. You can do up as many or as few buttons as you want, depending on the look you wanna go for.

[ Upon accepting the dress shirt and trying to put it on, Turing immediately realized a problem: the sleeves. Or to be more specific, the sleeves around the forearm area. They gingerly tugged on the sleeve out of fear of ripping it, but it was a snug fit to say the least. ]

...Are there any shirts with larger sleeves?

I'll have a look! I wouldn't worry about tearing that, though - things around here tend to stretch.

[ he's done some fitting of his own for the clothes in these strange shops, and he's found that even the blazers that were initially too small on him had suddenly begun to stretch to his shoulder width. it's as if the world doesn't quite understand how clothes should fit, and is trying to adjust itself... or it just doesn't understand scale to begin with.

he'll save the shirt for later - right now, he has to focus on a much more important decision. he holds up a pair of uniform pants in one hand and a skirt in the other, showing them to Turing. ]

Bottoms aren't really an issue for you, but I don't think the look's complete without them, personally. What style are you feeling?

[ They were still a little careful pulling on the sleeve after that, but just like Raihan said, the sleeve stretched, and Turing nearly jumped out of surprise. What kind of strange material was it made of? They tugged on the fabric again only to be slightly disappointed when it didn't stretch like rubber. Aww.

By the time Raihan brought up the issue of pants vs. skirt, Turing had managed to button up the shirt, at least. ]

Well... The skirt seems like it would be easier to move in. I think.
