[ Their mental well-being had taken a beating for sure--when the memory swapping incident's jab hit one way, the nightmare's hook hit another way, and that left them reeling to put it mildly. If nothing else, they were home now, or at least the closest thing they had to home. As they entered the apartment that still felt so empty without Alys, they let out a heavy sigh.
Whatever Turing was expecting upon their return, it wasn't this.
That was their easel and canvases set up neatly in the middle of the room, along with a very familiar looking box. Turing rushed over to the box, though in their haste they stumbled over their own feet and tumbled to the floor right in front of it. Oof. Their quick trip to the floor did little to deter them, and they scrambled to their knees to open the box and see some very familiar looking tubes of paint and other supplies. They hadn't seen these in a very long time, or at least it had felt that way. It was something positive and familiar; two things they desperately needed at the moment.
Without even a second thought, they began carting their easel and everything else outside of the apartment complex with an uncharacteristic disregard for how much noise they were making. It took a few trips to boot, oops. They would offer apologies later, but for now there was art to be made! ]
[ Actually getting to the gallery had been...a small hurdle. Water itself wasn't a problem, but not being able to swim was, so hopefully no one would mind if they tracked in a little water. Regardless of that, they were still there at the entrance to the gallery. Or rather, Galleria del Funghi. Turing's ability to translate a variety of languages plus the mushrooms adorning the outer structure made it very clear that the mushroom theme was likely to continue, but that was the least of Turing's worries. They had never visited a gallery before!
Their excitement aside, their path through the gallery was very logical and straightforward in that they went up and down each side of the hallways. Why? Well, to get a good look at everything that was on display without missing anything, of course. It didn't escape Turing's notice that even the artwork didn't escape the mushroom theme, but even if they were in paintings that they shouldn't have been in, this was still their only way of seeing high-profile works of art in person. It was different than just seeing images on the mesh, though Turing couldn't properly articulate why. It just felt different, and even feelings like those were begging to be transformed into art.
Unfortunately, the water meant that they couldn't bring anything to sketch with without it getting ruined. Maybe there was something nearby they could use? With that thought in mind, their search began! Anyone watching might have had a bad time though, as they passed by the room with the David statue.

[ Were their batteries finally running out? All of their diagnostics were coming back normal, but that had also happened when they had nearly passed out from hunger. Had Turing not been exhausted far beyond the point of being able to think clearly, they would have connected the dots, but alas. There was also the issue of the mementos and the nightmares they brought making the idea of sleep sound so much more unappealing. And so, the dim light around them persisted.
Maybe they were in the vicinity of Heavenly Blanc or Takoba Beach, but they also made their way back to Merlaut Apartments at some point. That was all well and good, except for one thing. If an apartment door was open, it was entirely likely that a very sleepy Turing would drag themselves into an apartment that wasn't theirs and crash on the closest soft surface.
[ Alys had promised to take them shopping after everything was over. Obviously they had never had a chance to do that before Turing was swept away, but it did make them hesitate. Was it OK to go shopping without them? ...No, Alys wasn't that petty. Surely they wouldn't be upset. With their already very favourable opinion of Alys reaffirmed, they carefully stepped into one the of clothing stores of Shibumenosaki, as if they felt on some level that they didn't belong there.
[ Apropos of what might appear to be nothing, Turing sent a ping to Legion. That probably wasn't anything unusual in itself now that communication between machines was so much easier, but it was finally time to ask something that had been poking at them ever since they met Legion and saw all of those drawings on them.
The timing was also driven by something. That being that they still had some paint left on their palette after finishing a painting. Maybe Legion would like a particular image? What colours did they like best? Or maybe Turing would just get a flat out 'no.' That was also very possible and understandable! Regardless of that, those were still the thoughts they were having as they attempted to locate their Geth friend. ]
