only to return a minute later with a slice of cake. He sits his ass right on the windowsill, tempting fate to finally hurl him down two stories (it doesn't... yet).

Yeah, he's just gonna sit here and watch this fresh meat struggle while eating some delicious cake, what are you gonna do about it huh??]

[Ugh, thank God he finally—-

[What the—- Is that cake? What is he doing? Iwa states for a long moment, entirely unsure of how to react to this...bizarre display. It’s...almost comical, but also extremely annoying for some reason ~~(maybe he wants some?)~~

[Iwa strongly considers attempting to lob the volleyball at Add and subsequently knock him out of the window - but he doesn’t (gravity would probably just stop working again and make him look even stupider).

[He’s still shouting ~~(just not in capslock this time)~~]

He crosses his legs, leaning comfortably against the side of the window as he takes the first bite. Ah, give him a moment to enjoy that before he responds...

Oh, just the secrets of the universe! This dimension doesn't behave like any normal place would. If you don't know what annoying quirks to look out for, well, you'll just have to figure it out on your own, kekekekekekeke—

[It's in the middle of his dumb supervillain laugh that Add decides to adjust his position... and hears a dreadfully loud creak coming from the windowsill.

Apparently, the windows are just as cheap as the doors here. Add barely gets any time to react before he finds himself lurching forward and out the damn window like the fate-tempting idiot he is. In a last-ditch effort to save himself he reaches for the remains of the broken windowsill... except his hands are already full, so instead he just flings a plate full of perfectly good cake back into his own room. Amazing.

There is a very undignified shriek as he crashes into the bushes below the apartment building. Seconds later, there are now six shoe-sized drones flying out of the open window to whirl above their idiot master's groaning body.

On the bright side, at least now they all know gravity is working again.]

[Given the tension between them, one might expect Iwaizumi to start laughing and pointing once Add falls out of the second story window and into the bushes, but instead—-]

Holy shi—- [Iwaizumi goes rushing to his side. The flurry of drones does make him hesitate, but they don’t seem to be attacking or anything like that, so after a moment he presses on and takes a knee next to him, concern clear on his face. Gravity does seem to be working again, yes.]

What the hell, dude?! Are you okay?

[He immediately starts scanning him for broken bones - he’s seen a few in his day just playing volleyball, let alone falling out of a fucking window.]

[The dynamos move aside to let Iwa through, perhaps recognizing that the boy means to help. Add, meanwhile, is just going to swat a hand in his general direction as he attempts to right himself—three of his drones swoop over to support him on one side, lifting him up by the arm.]

Ugh, would you back off?! I'm fine— [until he attempts to upgrade from kneeling to half-kneeling.... and immediately makes the most regretful expression in the world. he puts his leg back down with a sharp hiss.] —completely fine, barely a scratch, so why don't you mind your own business and get out of my face! Go back to your stupid ball or whatever.

[He's so fine, he's going to sit here in the bushes for awhile. You know, just for fun. That's a thing people do when they're definitely not injured and trying not to cry about it.]

[Your hissing will do nothing, Add. Now that Iwaizumi sees that your leg is clearly broken - or at the very least injured - he’s not about to leave your side.]

Oh, shut up, would ya? [He bites his lip a little, doesn’t touch Add, but puts his hands up like he’s trying to guide him to sit back on his butt instead of kneel.] Sit back, man. I think your leg is broken.

We got a hospital around here? What the hell were you doing dangling from a damn window, idiot.

[He glances around, unsure of how to help, who to call for. This guy knows all the secrets, right? That’s what he was bragging about when he fell.]

Okay, genius. You’re alright. [He can see that Add might be about to cry - that makes his dumb heart twinge for this moron.] What can we do to help you? Sit back. Let me see.

It's not broken. It's probably just a sprain... and I wasn't dangling! Everything was fine until the damn window collapsed, that could've happened to anyone!

[Stubbornly, Add is not moving. No way is giving this jerk the satisfaction of confirming his injuries... what's his angle, anyway?? A minute ago they were yelling at each other and now he's trying to act like some kind of selfless hero coming to the rescue? Suspicious. He doesn't buy it. He'd rather stay here in the bushes until he starves or gets carried off by wild animals before accepting help from such a suspicious person.

He does attempt to shift into a slightly more comfortable position, though. Just to be difficult, he angles his legs away from Iwaizumi so he can't try and look at the damage.]

Have you looked around, idiot? What makes you think this place has a hospital? [they don't even have a proper grocery store, everyone just eats at the cafe and food stalls...]

Okay, so what do you suggest we do, asshole?

[See? He’s still mean. Not suspicious at all! His words are harsh, but his brow remains furrowed in concern as he cranes his neck, tries to get a look at Add’s leg (even though he appears to be purposefully trying to angle it away?).]

Come on man, just let me look. You’re clearly hurt. I’m trying to help you.

[There’s still agitation in his voice, and he won’t try to hide that, but he tries to make eye contact with Add anyway, to communicate that he’s not after anything here. He just—-]

I want to help. [He tries to sound earnest - he really means it.] You’re in pain. Shut up and let me look so we can figure something out.

Since when did this become a "we" thing?!

[He's slowly starting to get the impression that this guy might actually be serious right now... which, somehow, only makes Add more irritated about it. They only just met? Is he another one of those annoying selfless types? Accepting that kind of help is still too embarrassing, so he's even more determined now to solve this on his own. He's been injured worse than this before—he's a strong, battle-hardened fighter, not to mention a genius, so something like this should be nothing to him!

Although, normally he'd have Dynamo at full strength to help him out, so he's not really sure how he's going to get back to his room. Dynamo isn't strong enough to pick him up with just their standard anti-gravity settings... if he can get on his feet he might be able to use them as a crutch...

but anyway, he has priorities to keep, so he'll start by repositioning Dynamo into a protective robot blockade between himself and Iwaizumi. He's got six pointy robots and he's not afraid to use them! Try and help him now, bitch!!]

You're starting to piss me off... would you get out of the way already? Just watch, I'll get up on my own and you can see for yourself that you're just wasting my time. I've fought demons and dragons before, you seriously think a little fall like that is going to slow me down?!

[Oh great. Now the asshole is going to sick his flock of fucking robots on him. This is what he gets for trying to help, huh? Naturally, Iwa leans back and puts some distance between them at that point, a glare settling on his face.]

Fine, asshole. Stand up then. You did this to your damn self, so let’s see it.

[Mean-spirited, which feels bad when, again, he’s trying to help this jerk (who is, again, clearly suffering and just fell out of a fucking window), but is Add really giving him much of a choice?!]

[Yeah, that's right, cower before his amazing technology. He relaxes a little once Iwa backs down, splitting the array of machines into two clusters at his sides.]

That's what I was planning to do from the start, moron. Go ahead and watch if you want to, but your pitiful "help" won't be needed here, kukukuku!

[and... he drags out that weird chuckle of his for a few extra seconds, definitely not because he's stalling. Standing up is the easiest thing in the world. What kind of pathetic idiot would he be if he couldn't even manage that on his own?

And so, after much anticipation, Add maneuvers his drones to support himself—three under each arm, easily enough to assist with such a simple task. And this time he knows better than to put pressure on his right leg, so he's careful to start on the left side. Slowly, shakily, he starts to lift himself back up... and within a reasonable frame of time, he is successfully standing on one leg, wobbling only a little bit with Dynamo's assistance.]

... There. See? A piece of cake. You can stop harassing me now.

[just, uh, don't mind how he's not trying to move any further yet, and very obviously keeping off the injured leg. he just needs another minute to psyche himself up. it's fine.]

Amazing how you did that all on your own.

[Not.]

Why don’t you try it on that other leg now, smart ass?

[Slowly, he lowers his foot to put the tiniest amount of weight on it... and winces hard, but it's too late to wimp out now. He has a point to prove! He can do this!!

He puts a little more weight on it, makes a face like he really is about to cry, and then decides to casually lean against the nearby wall instead. It's cool. He's still fine.]

... need a minute to catch my breath, that's all. Don't you have anything better to do?

[Add’s expression is so pained that Iwa’s crumbles all over again and he instinctively reaches forward to catch him in case he falls. His voice is soft again when he speaks, though firm, insistent.]

Okay, stop, stop. If you don’t want me to touch you, then fine, let your...things keep you up, but don’t put your foot back down. You’re just going to fuck it up more.

[He sighs. Caring is exhausting, especially when it’s for some asshole stranger who would rather you drop dead.]

Just tell me how to help you or who to get and I’ll leave you alone, okay?

[... but he is starting to finally realize that this isn't going anywhere. His leg is fucked and this guy isn't going to leave him alone, so they're basically at a standstill until one of them caves, and Add has more important things he should be doing right now. Unfortunately, one of them has to give in.

He sighs, shoulders drooping ever so slightly as he stares at some fascinating bit of shrubbery.]

I guess since it is your fault... [a...pparently??? don't you dare question him] Climbing stairs would be annoying with a sprain like this, so you can help me with that to make up for your mistake. If you do, I'll consider allowing you to beg for my forgiveness.

Yeah, whatever.

[He rolls his eyes, but he is not about to start arguing again now. This guy is clearly stubborn and brimming with misplaced pride, but he’s also hurt, he needs help, and for some reason Iwa is insisting.]

That’ll be easiest if you let me pick you up. Think you can do that?

[Embarrassing for the both of them, yes, but if this guy falls down the stairs, he’ll probably break something else and they’ll have to do this whole thing over again times two.]

Th-that is— [embarrassing] completely unnecessary! Just support me on one side, we don't have to go that far! Dynamo will help, too... anyway, who says you can even lift me, I'm bigger than you are! [as in taller by like maybe half an inch but maybe that half an inch weighs a lot huh???

work out talking to you, Add! Iwaizumi doesn’t want to go making a spectacle of himself carrying this guy over the threshold like a new bride either, but again, there are stairs involved here.]

So what? You’re just going to hop up the stairs on one foot, jack ass?

[But fine! If that’s what you want, more broken bones to you, Add! He sighs, attempts to take the man’s arm over his shoulder and slip one around his waist to support him. They should be able to at least get to the stairs this way. They’ll see what needs to be done once they actually reach them.]

[shit.... that was his plan, but now he'll look stupid. goddamnit.]

If you're going to help then shut up and help me already! [hopefully that cranky response will be enough to balance out this embarrassing walk of shame... begrudgingly, he allows the other to support him, with Dynamo hovering around the two of them in case any extra help is needed. But for now it seems like Iwaizumi's is enough, and the trip to the apartment building entrance is fairly uneventful. Add doesn't even try to do anything stupid like put pressure on his leg again!

Until they get to the stairs, anyway.

Add scowls at the stairs like they've personally offended him, refusing to move forward just yet.]

... could just wait until the elevator is working. [which is entirely dependant on the weather, of all things, so who fucking knows how long that wait would be.]

[Iwaizumi shoots him a glare. He hasn’t been here long, but he knows that that idea would essentially mean waiting for a thunderstorm under a forecast of clear weather.

[He sighs, grumbles under his breath:] Just don’t attack me when I do this. [And next he’s leaning over and attempting to scoop the stubborn little asshole into his arms to get them up the stairs. He’s heavier than expected, but nothing Iwaizumi can’t handle - if Add doesn’t put up a struggle anyway, which Iwa fully expects he will.]

Let’s just be done with this, yeah? [Come on now.]

Whoa whoa whoa, the fuck do you think you're— [yeah, there was pretty much no way Add wasn't going to struggle, though you really have to wonder what his plan was going to be if he managed to break out... besides laying on the ground again, looking even more pathetic.

But the struggling doesn't last long, because in his fierce efforts to throw himself back onto the ground (like a man) Add manages to bang his leg against part of the staircase, so. that sure gets him to stop. He growls in pain through clenched teeth, freezing up—he's completely at Iwa's mercy.

The humiliating situation is already underway by the time Add stops being blinded by pain. Ah... he tried so hard, and it still ended up like this... the worst.

Using the last of his stubborn energy, he gives Iwa the silent treatment for the full trip up the stairs, praying that no one happens to walk out and see this. Please, just let him keep some dignity intact...]
