[Noct can't help but look amused at Kimihiro's reaction.]

Yeah, I don't think there's any health inspectors around, yet. Though I'm not actually sure this place has figured out "being sick" yet, so we should be okay.

[Noct pauses - and then shrugs, lifting one foot to unlace his boot and pull it off, followed by the other, before he steps into the apartment.]

I'm Noct, by the way. Are you new here?

(forgive him for reaching for the sake after washing his hands, taking a large gulp and pouring some more for mugetsu, who seemed to be way too happy at the offering of alcohol. he's tired and he's rather disheartened at the green goo situation he's dealing with, the light around him not as bright as it could be.)

Watanuki. (he bows, even if the now not so stranger might not partake in such cultural gesture.) Yeah, just got here. (and he's still trying to wrap his head around that. he literally could not be here, so it's not so much the place, but the circumstances that boggle his mind.)

[Noct looks a little baffled by the bow - he's used to people bowing to him, yes, but he doesn't know how Watanuki would know he's royalty. After a moment, he just shakes it off.]

Well, welcome to wherever we are. [A beat.] Who's your friend?

This is Mugetsu. He's a pipe fox spirit.

(and mugetsu only stops beaking the sake to squeak happily as a hello. absolutely adorable. kimihiro laughed a little, only because of how many people seemed to be absolutely charmed by the little fox.)

He's got plenty of fans today.

[Noct is absolutely one of them, and he chuckles.] Yeah, I think a lot of people around here are bigger fans of animals than people. I'm kind of sad I didn't have a pet to bring along.

He's not an animal, nor a pet, though.

(kimihiro laughs, because mugetsu himself looks annoyed at the thought.)

A familiar is more appropriate.

Normally, yeah. It doesn't really work here, though, unless this place decides it wants it to work.

[He would love it if his magic was still working. He had gotten used to not having it, and then he had it again, and it sucks all over again now that it's gone again.]
