It's just something that exists. Some people, albeit not many, can see it.

Only if you have a wish to be granted. You can only see the store and enter if so, otherwise it just looks like an empty field. The shop is special, after all.

Some things can be taught. Divination, for instance, at least to some degree. It's interpretation of omens, after all.

Like reading tea leaves? Tarot cards? That kind of thing?

[he'd dismiss that as being ridiculous, but -- well, magic is real, where Kimihiro's from. those omens actually means something where he's from]

Those are all valid methods. I use dowsing, more often than not myself.

They'd work better than if I made one from scratch, but I am sure I could find a way for it to work.

Difference between having my phone with me and, say, having to rewrite all the code I have on it, for a new one. [which is to say it's possible, but annoying and time consuming. he figures that's the case for Kimihiro and his tools, too]

I have a computer back home, but I cannot be bothered to use it so much. I still use a landline.

I don't like it. Cellphone email, for instance, I find the conversation boring and the writing complicated.

Not -- not actual magic. [much as he hates to admit that] But there is a certain kind of power, to what I can do with a computer or a phone.
