[All things considered, Haru had expected this world to be more chaotic. Granted, after everything she gone through, a change in scenery wasn't a bad thing. As she wandered around the lobby, there were so many thoughts running through her mind. How much longer was she staying here for? What was happening in her world right now? What about her other friends? She wasn't sure but she knew thinking such things wouldn't do her any good.

With a heavy sigh, she figured she might as well introduce herself to anyone else around here.]

Um, excuse me? I know this is an odd request but do you know where I can buy fertilizer?

The Heavenly Blanc Bar & Café

[It was odd how comfortable she felt in this café. There was always something about the smell of coffee and the atmosphere that always calmed her down. And yet, this was also different from the café she knew back home. The addition of a jukebox and a pinball machine was a nice touch.

Feeling curious, she made her way to the pinball machine. As she stared at the strange equipment, it was certainly nostalgic to see these as she played one when she was younger.

Should anyone look by, they could see the determined look on Haru's face even as she continues to lose!]

C. Aoba Shibumenosaki Underground Academy - Gymnasium

[As Haru looked at the gym equipment, she couldn't help but be impressed. To think, there was such variety in this school! She never thought she would be allowed to try them with her father around! It wasn't becoming of an heiress to attempt to lift such heavy weights or even try the treadmill.

Hoping no one would be around, she just had to lift one the heavier weights. If she could lift heavy bags of fertilizer, a 40 pound weight should be nothing right?]

[As Haru continued to play, she was certain she was going to beat the high score! However, try as she might, she wasn't having any success. If anything, she was more than happy to get a score at all.

Which was why she was surprised when she heard a new voice popping in and saying such a thing.]

No, you're much too kind. It's been sometime since I played this and I think I could use more practice! [She said right as the ball fell between the flappers]

Heh. Trust me. It's not a great compliment to say you're better than me. I barely broke a thousand the last time I played that game.

[Which was to say she might have struck the bumpers three or four times before it was all over. That was a pretty damned pathetic score, but she didn't understand how to really play. Parsee leaned against a nearby wall, looking over at Haru, biting and worrying her lip for a second before shrugging the thought off.]

You're new here. I can tell. Starting to get used to seeing new people. What brings you to this dive?

[That voice sounded... familiar maybe? She wasn't sure. She remembered Ren's memories but she couldn't be certain.]

(OOC: Up to you. Ren reminded me that she saw the casino heist job in his memories, so she heard Haru's voice there. But I leave up to you if she recognizes it.)

[Still, despite what she might say, it was impressive enough she managed to get something! Especially with no much of a struggle it was to hit the ball to the target!

As Haru continued to play the game, the more determined she was to get the score up! Even with her failing, she didn't want to give up that easily! With the ball missing the target, that didn't stop her from trying.]

You mean the café? You could say that this place reminded me of my world even if it isn't the same! [She said before the ball hit the bumper] I know this machine wasn't here back home!

'Friends.'

[The way that she said it, there was a clear emphasis on the word friend. She didn't put air quotes on it, but she might as well have. Ren was NOT talkative about the nature of their group, not like the other members could be, and she tried hard to respect that. But her innate jealousy always spiked when she met friends of his. Always trying to figure them out, how and why they always seemed to revolve around the boy who was clearly the protagonist of his little story and world.

And here was another one. Consider her curiosity piqued.]

Sorry. Name's Parsee. I'm a spirit at the bridge down the road. I've known Ren since we showed up here.

[She was fully expecting an answer similar to hers at some point. If her friends were here, it was only a matter of time before she met one of their friends.

If she was a friend of Ren's, then hopefully she could be a friend of Haru's!]

Mhmm, I am! It's nice to meet you, Parsee-san! My name is Haru Okumura.

[And yet, there was something bothering her] I hope I'm not intruding but mind if I ask where you heard my voice before? [Unless there was something going on in the Void she wasn't aware of]

Oh... uh... how do I put this? I ended up accidentally borrowing one of his memories. It involved a casino....

And I heard your voice, and Akechi's, and a few other's. And I agreed not to talk too much about that stuff in public. I think he worries a lot about, how do I put this? [She tapped her lips and closed her eyes.]

Your friends creative clothing choices? So, just so we're clear. Do you have ... creative clothing choices on occasion too?

[For a moment, Haru just stared at her. Just how much did she see about the Metaverse? As she opened her mouth, she wondered what to say back.

How shall we address this?]

Yes, I do? I'm just surprised this world has given you the ability to see Ren-kun's memories! I was not aware of such a thing!

[Although, that does make her worried. Just how much does she know?]

Mmmm? Oh, no I don't have the 'ability.' It was this one time thing. A whole bunch of us got memories jumbled. I borrowed one from Tifa, from Rinoa, from Legion and Ahsokha. They ended up borrowing mine. they're back where they belong but I remember... uh... a few things.

But I'm a youkai and we try to keep our promises. So, you're a friend of his, I guess I can talk about it? But I don't talk about it much. He really doesn't like me talking about this kind of stuff. But if you have questions of me? I think it's fine if I answer questions from one of his friends.

[The irony? She knew very very little, though she'd seen Memetos and personas recently. The whole plight of the Phantom Thieves wasn't widely known. But she could pick up there might be some nerves, so... she'd answer questions? that felt safe.]

I see. This void certainly has a way of viewing different worlds from their own perspectives.

[Again, there was that fear people would find out about the Phantom Thieves. She wasn't sure if it was a good idea to let others know but at the same time? If they were all from different worlds, it wasn't going to harm her or her friend's lives when they get back home. Right?

She needed to think this carefully. If she already knew about the Metaverse, she wondered just how much she can explain to Parsee.]

Youkai? I wasn't aware you're a demon! The void does bring people from a variety of places!

[Yes, this is her avoiding the question]

[She gave her such a non-plussed look. It was clear, however, that she wasn't upset at her so much as just a little grumbly when she talked.]

The Void goes out of its way to make us see things from each other's perspective. It's kind of invasive, seriously. Legion's memories gave me a major headache. Have you ever tried to think in binary? It's not easy.

[Funny she mentioned that, though. She was a little obsessed with finding out more about Legion because of that. It had been too much to handle, but she could be really stubborn. Right now, however, she was stubbornly trying to follow her promise to Joker. She didn't know 'much,' but she'd promised not to dig.]

I see what you did there... heh. Just so you know... I really don't know much, other than that you guys are really sketchy on the details and you have really weird powers and outfits.

[And she'd actually only seen Violet's persona so far. Outside of that? She got a sense that there was some sort of rebellion going on or something, right or wrong, and that their powers were born out of personal struggles with their darker sides. The rest? Total loss.]

But if we're avoiding the topic, I'm game. [She just liked to call it with a little wink.] I'm a Hashihime. A bridge princess. So, kind of a vengeful spirit, though the revenge thing was a very long time ago. That bastard got what was coming to him way back when and I've lingered ever since. This place brought me, the bridge and shrine.

[All Haru could do was just stare at her. It was odd to think that this place had the potential to look at other people's memories. She wasn't sure how to feel as there were some things that needed to remain private.

On the other hand, it does allow people to open up to others. Before she could say anything back, she gave a small smile toward her]

Yes, I'm afraid there are a few things that shouldn't be discussed. I hope you do not mind until I am ready. [Not that she doesn't trust Parsee, there were some things that needed to remain private.

At least for the time being. Until then? She just simply tilted her head at her.]

Goodness, for a vengeful spirit, you seem really friendly! I do not know what happened in your world but I hope you're not out for revenge anymore!

[Yeah, while the place wasn't truly awful in all ways, there was an element about this strange surreal realm that was deeply distressing. The way that it jut flaunted their privacy was high on her list of 'do not want' in the Void.

The comment got a bit of a light grunt and a rueful smirk.] Like I said, I know Ren. I'm sort of used to he and his friends not wanting to share everything. It's fine. You guys just have your little secret clubhouse and handshakes. That's all.

[She'd put in for the decoder ring later.]

Not sure I'd call myself nice, though folks have been trying to keep me calmer these days. But I guess maybe you never heard the story. I... became this a long long time ago. Before there was a shogun.

That bastard of an ex-husband's been dead a very very long time now. Now I'm just a spirit of jealousy and bridge guard.

[With that, she gave a giggle]

Don't worry, I do plan on telling you within due time! Please allow me to get settled into this place first before I disclose all of my secrets!

[That and she wasn't sure just how much Ren and the others wanted to tell the others. While she didn't mind telling her they were Phantom Thieves, it was another having others know other parts of her life. Until then? Haru just looked at her with shock. For a moment, she didn't say anything. That hit a little too close to home.]

T-Then I suppose your ex-husband wasn't the nicest person around, was he? [Regardless, murder still wasn't okay but she could understand where Parsee was coming from] It must have been a terrible marriage if you had to go to such extreme.

Heh, I might hold you to that, you know...

[She leaned against the wall and got a somewhat uncomfortable look. He hadn't actually been terrible to her, right up until he'd tossed her aside in favor of someone else. She'd been in love, legitimately so. She still remembered that about him. He'd been a good match. Good for the family, good for her, right up until it stopped being so.]

He left me for another woman and married her. When he did that, let's just say... I'm still jealous of the whole women's lib movement. You guys have a much easier time just living on you own. My options were to go back to my family in disgrace, to watch our lot fall and to know I'd somehow failed them in the court.

His selfish little libido'd ruined us. I ... might have forgiven him visiting an oiran if he'd really needed that. He just threw me away like trash.

[Haru didn't know what to say to that. There was a lot of unpack in those words alone. While Haru was lucky she lived in the modern era, she couldn't imagine being placed in Parsee's shoes. She managed to get away from Suhimara mainly because there was someone who was willing to listen to her. If it weren't for him, she would be in the same shoes as Parsee.]

It was a case of adultery. How vile. To think there are people who would be so willing to commit such a thing even back in those times. [Not that she was surprised but it still hurts to know there was someone who faced something similar as hers.

As she stepped forward, she gave Parsee her hand out.]

It seems like there is a lot to take in. How about we sit down and have ourselves a cup of coffee? I know that's what I do when my ex-fiancée wasn't happy with me.

A bit worse than that, but more or less... yeah. I'll admit that I completely lost it, but the spirit of Kifune heard my plea all the same and gave me the ritual that let me become this.

[She nodded and motioned over to the bar while heading over herself. Her husband wasn't a pleasant topic, but when she heard the word 'fiance,' she cocked her head and settled herself into a seat.]

Sounds like I'm not the only one dealing with a shit of a bastard. You did say "Ex" right?

It doesn't seem fair to you. I can understand that feeling of wanting to get back at your husband when you just loved him so dearly...

[She trailed off before gesturing her to a seat. There was just so much to unpack, it was only fair they sit down to discuss it all]

But no, you're not. I was suppose to be married to someone who was.. [How should Haru say this lightly?] difficult. It was arranged by my father as he thought it would improve our company's wealth.

[There were a lot of things Haru didn't want to say but if Parsee was so willing to explain herself? It only made sense she was the heiress of a wealthy company]

Still doing that shit, are they? [She snorted over her drink, smirking at Haru.] Mine was arranged too. Court affair. Join our families, improve each other's standing in the dominant cities. A voice in the courts. Heirs for both family line. Someone to manage his affairs. It was supposed to be a pleasant match according to the nakodo, but she thought wrong.

[A grunt.] I don't want to pry unless you want to share, but ... glad you got rid of that problem before you actually said vows. Less headaches.

[She wasn't necessarily keen on too many details either, but there felt like a bit of commisseration there. Just two girls chatting about asshole men. She hadn't had that in... forever, honestly.]

I'm afraid so if it involves wealth and status. My marriage wasn't based anything more than just growing my family's company. It's just a shame my father didn't agree with me.

[She said with a small sigh before looking downward. Regardless, she couldn't think about that. Instead, she just looked back up before giving Parsee a small smile]

But thank you for sharing a little about yourself with me. I'm glad you trust me enough to talk about it!

Those arrangements go just fine as long as they're cordial, social and people don't bother loving each other, or demanding things. Usually. More of a business arrangement than a thing of the heart. But it's like any business deal. You can think you got the deal of the century and just leap at it, when it's actually a lemon under the hood.

[She had a bit of exposure to bad marriages. The arranged sort went fine, as long as there was a mutual understanding and people neither tried to make it more than it was, and were respectful of each other. Her husband hadn't been.]

I'm guessing Mr Wrong was secretly one hell of a lemon. [She shrugged.] It was a long time ago for me. I figure some of the story's easy to find. Heike sort of turned me into some heroe's glorious battle, but they got a few things right.

At least you're free of him, right?

Yes, I am. Thankfully there were people who listened to my pleas to end the arrangement. The problem now is where my father's company will go until I am old enough to handle such a big commitment.

[That being said, there was another pause before she spoke up]

Until then, I suppose I have all the time in the world to make a decision.

You're lucky you had them. [She didn't ask if it was Ren. She figured that she didn't have to. It just sort of felt logical.] You've got all the time in the world while you're here to make those decisions. Long as you don't mind taking a weird vacation in a world that has no clue what it is, that is.

[She raised a cup of coffee and smirked.]

To men. Who needs 'em? Of course without marriages I'd probably be out of work long long ago.

Yes, I don't mind at all! Although, I do wish my stay here wouldn't be for long as I do have a mission to accomplish when I return.

[Once again, she'll be vague. She had someone she needed to stop and she would stop at nothing to get it done.

However, until that time? She couldn't help but giggle before raising her own cup toward her.]

I agree, us females can definitely run the world by ourselves! I wish you could come with us because I think you wouldn't have a hard time finding work at all!

Well, you know... if I were a betting girl? That mission of yours needs Violet, Ren, Ann and Akechi... so you probably shouldn't all run off unless it's together should you? Might as well have a little fun here while you're figuring out how to send everyone home at once.

[Secretly, she was assuming that was much easier said than done, and that made her feel a little better. Little Miss Jealousy here could be possessive at times.]

Heh. Certainly better than most of the guys I know. I don't think you'd want me around. spirits of jealousy who handle breakups and divorces don't exactly make for great partners. Though I'm... trying a new leaf a little here.

[If she only knew the reason why they had to be sent back home. Haru didn’t respond back to her just yet. Instead, she looked down at her cup of coffee wondering what to say. There were a million things running through her mind before she gave a small smile]

I certainly hope we can all go back together.

[How can she tell Parsee there was a possibility things might not be as hopeful as it seemed? However, she would leave at that before changing the topic.]
