🥂 HEAVENLY BLANC VOID PARTY 🥂
Who: Everyone! What: Heavenly Blanc mingle and info exchange Where: The Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café When: "August 1"; but really, what is time Content Warnings: N/A
Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories.
🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party.
🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal.
🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone:
"Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you."

"It's nice to see everyone. Since we're stuck here together, let's cooperate well."
☕ OOC NOTES ☕
This is the open mingle post for the Heavenly Blanc void party! Please feel free to top-level and tag around.
There is a top-level included here for you to post OOC notes of what their characters have discussed on the log, as well as their own thoughts about the world. If there is anything important that people should know, please reply to the top-level with the information, so that it's easy to find for everyone. General info posts about what your character will be talking about are fine as well. Just please try to avoid multiple edits if you can as you thread if you are going that route! for the sake of my dw inbox...
Because this is an info exchange/mingle post, we encourage thread-jacking. However, we know that not everyone is into that kind of thing, so if you are okay with others hopping into your threads, please be sure to indicate it in your top-level.
Questions about the log can be directed to the ooc post.
Have fun! |

[Tifa seems to deflate a little at the news. Somewhere, deep down, she kind of hoped that he would be a Pokemon—more specifically, one that could talk and tell her what it's like to be one—but the king of koopas isn't so bad, either. She's interested, and once she sets down the glass she's holding beneath the counter, she uncaps a bottle and offers Bowser the chance for a refill.]
So, shouldn't we be calling you something like 'Your Majesty'?
[There's a teasing glimmer to her eye and in her smile, even in the dim light.]
no subject
I guess that’d be proper, yeah.
[Bowser had never really cared what was proper. Kamek hadn’t exactly raised him to. Bowser enjoyed the power being king gave him, but he ignored the etiquette completely. His own soldiers just called him things like “Your grumpiness” or “your rudeness,” with no complaints from him. But as for everyone else...]
People just call me “Bowser.” Sometimes it’s “King Bowser,” but I don’t have anyone call me “Your Majesty.”

[She rolls her shoulders in a shrug, slipping and twisting the cap back on the bottle before sliding it beneath the counter, the glass bottle in her hands bringing her train of thought back to the drinks, and what he'd said before.]
Anyway! I've been wondering a little about the drinks myself. With the amount that people drink around here, you'd think things'd get more rowdy.
[Trust her, she's seen her fair share of drunks running a bar. Even the ones who could hold their liquor well couldn't stay this sober for as long as some of them have.]
Y'know how no one gets hungry here?
no subject
Yeah, I've noticed that. [Bowser pauses for a moment.] You think that's related to the drinks?
no subject
I don't think so.
[She observes the nearest bottle, with all of its labels still the same as it was back in Midgar.]
But it's not us, either. Unless you've felt anything different since you got here?
[How do giant turtles usually feel on a day-to-day basis?]

[Bowser's flame pipe had been functioning normally, his shell was as strong as ever, and he didn't feel any kind of absence of magic. Yet he lacked even the abilities of a common Koopa Troopa.]

[Tifa lifts her hands to show the glass balls embedded in the wrists of her gloves. Six of them.]
Only thing that's different is these stopped working when I got here. Cloud's, too. They allowed us to use magic, so you can imagine our surprise when we couldn't. Had to fight those tin cans with our bare hands.
[Not that it was a problem, but it was a bit jarring at first.]
no subject
I get magic not working, but most of my powers aren't even magic. Them getting taken away doesn't make any sense.
Cloud... was he the guy talking about cleaning up the beach?
no subject
[There's a sense of pride in the way she says it, and how she puffs up with excitement. They may not be in the slums, but her lessons about making connections still apply. She's glad that he did it all on his own, even if she did nudge him to talk about it a while ago...]
But yeah... I'm not sure why either. I mean, we don't have much need for them here, but if it can bring my bar here, then why can't it bring magic, y'know?
no subject
Can't say I'm fully on board with Cloud's plan, though. [Now observe, as Bowser argues with the entire Final Fantasy 7 cast about Takoba Beach.]
no subject
Tifa does seem surprised by that, though. She hoped it would be something that everyone in the void would get behind, what with the pollution and all, and that is a particularly touchy subject with her, but she's going to try and understand...!]
Why's that?
no subject
(Normally the wildlife on the beach would be the least of Bowser's concerns. But as far as he can tell, they're the only thing even resembling his subjects. He therefore feels it's his duty to protect them, and ensure they are taken into account.)
no subject
I don't know anything about them, but what do you think about moving them somewhere else? Can't imagine the garbage is good for them.
[She's no expert by any stretch about the wildlife here, but it's along the same lines as any pollution. It harms the wildlife, and what they need is a clean, safe environment to live in... even if she isn't too fond of the tin cans specifically.]
no subject
[When moving the Piranha Stubbies is brought up, Bowser shakes his head.]
I don't think moving them will work. Piranha Plants are territorial, and we use them a lot in the Koopa Troop. I doubt they'll leave without a fight.
no subject
[Namely the dragonfish things. For as much trouble as they caused, they still live in the water. The Pidgeys up in the mountains can't be benefitting from it either.
She isn't trying to argue with him, because she wants to try to preserve as much as she can, but she can't bend on leaving it the way that it is.]
You've got any other suggestion?
no subject
[Bowser isn't as concerned with the other creatures, anyway, though he won't say that out loud. Not that he has a problem with them either, but between the Piranha Stubbies, griffons, and the fish, Bowser is more inclined to protect the Piranha Stubbies.]
My suggestion's to take the stuff we need, and leave everything else how it is.
no subject
We don't know what'll happen next in this place, but we might be able to rebuild the habitat so that it's safer for everything that lives there. We need to at least try.
[That's the most she can say at this point.]
I guess whoever decides to take lead on this'll have to make that decision.
