🥂 HEAVENLY BLANC VOID PARTY 🥂 Who: Everyone! What: Heavenly Blanc mingle and info exchange Where: The Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café When: "August 1"; but really, what is time Content Warnings: N/A Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories. 🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party. 🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal. 🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone: "Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you." "It's nice to see everyone. [Akechi is taller!! Not that he's petty enough to go that far, at least. Also, deep down, there's a part of him that's a little insulted at Blue's immediate lack of interest. What does Ren have that he doesn't??

But his smile doesn't waver as he simply holds out his now-empty hands. Ren might know there's something inherently dangerous about that fake smile curving his lips, but there's nothing hinting that it's anything but genuine as he adds,]

A second year, at that. Don't tell me you were trying to take advantage of my junior, Blue-san. I had a higher opinion of you than that.

(Just a fact and Ren stands next to the boy for comparison. It's just a little bit, but noticeable, maybe?

Ren does perceive the sweetness that Akechi is trying to convey and it's honestly quite... Hilarious to him. It's been a while since Ren witnessed Akechi's soft voice and nice demeanour, as phony as it is, it is well constructed upon a first inspection.

Also, 'take advantage of his junior'... Ren will excuse himself to laugh at this at some point in this gathering.)

[Disinterested. Akechi wasn't imagining it. Blue glances back to Akechi, to Ren, to Akechi. Blue is at least 3" shorter than both of them, and really has no place to talk in any of this.]

--You're older? [The way he says it is incredulous, teeth biting into his lower lip in an absolutely futile attempt to stop a grin; he picks his drink back up again and takes a casual sip from it- if they're going to be in conversation, then he's gonna keep drinking!!]

I'm in the final semester of my third year, yes. This surprises you?

[He is still smiling, but there's a definite harder edge to it now. Everything, from appearance to word choice to mannerisms, has always been chosen to seem as mature as possible.

Not that, like, he should really care about someone like Blue's opinion. But it honestly does kind of rankle a bit?]

(Ren's virgin cocktail is behind the bar and he just reaches for it real quick. He knows very much that it's never what Akechi wants to hear - specially when compared to Ren himself. But honestly, he's a little curious... So he'll take the bait, sorry, Akechi.)

[Said directly to Akechi, casually glancing at him. And then, the bastard, he just sips his drink.]

[Now, Akechi knows the right reaction to this. He knows the right response is to laugh politely, treat it as a joke, and tuck it deep inside to remember for later. He knows the best thing to do with a public insult is to shrug it off and pretend like it doesn't affect him.

Oh, but it does. How could it not, when it's as if Blue sees right through his pleasant act? Again, he doesn't stop smiling, but it doesn't reach his eyes anymore, dark and cold as they fix on the other's.]

I'd ask if you'd like to take this outside, but I've no interest fighting a drunk who can barely string two words together.

(He does ask it to himself, but surely it was loud enough to be heard by the parties.

Ren just gives Blue a glare, a disapproving one, and Akechi gets one as well. He's not about to allow Blue to disrespect Akechi, nor to let Akechi physically fight Blue over a drunk statement.)

Knock it off.

[Blue, who absolutely called Akechi a bottomfeeder as a term of fellowship and not disrespect, gives a slight headtilt to Ren's admonishment, and shrugs, assuming he means the general air of horniness and not the intensifying desire to murder.]

[He has definitely caused bar fights like this in the past. You can just tell.]

Huh? Are you a virgin? [He says it, also, too loud to be remotely to himself, but perhaps in a tone like it was meant to be inner monologue. Aren't you the top here, Ren? Oh well!!!] It means you bottom during sex, obviously. Like, yanno, taking it up the Feebas.

[He sips again, swirling his glass to mix it up a little more.]

[Honestly? Akechi had assumed he'd meant it to refer to someone who was the lowest of the low, trailing after others' discarded scraps and begging for any amount of recognition while being relegated to the very bottom. That's what he'd taken it as.

So Blue's explanation startles a choking cough out of him, a flush rising rapidly up the back of his neck and staining his ears a brilliant shade of red. Luckily that's mostly covered by his hair, and his cheeks only suffer a light dusting of pink that could be mistaken for anger and not embarrassment. Like, he's still pretty insulted, but not as drastically (??????)]

(A tomato would be less red. Also, what does Ren have to do with this conversation?? Also, why are they talking about Akechi's... Preferences...

It's not like Akechi lets Ren come close to him whatsoever, how the hell would he know?! Is there a good reason he's still in this conversation other than to keep Akechi from murdering Blue?)

[Shrugging, Blue drains his drink and picks the tray up again. Poor Akechi, Blue thinks, glancing at his stammering; kid was probably stuck in the same rut as him and Red. Can't help him there!!]

Well, whatever! I'm gonna hand out the rest of the drinks, so you kids have fun.

[That's right, now you're both his juniors!! Blue gives a cheerful little wave.] Smell ya later, Ren-chan!

What an irritating man. Are we quite certain he's an adult?

[Akechi's cheeks are still dusted pink, but he's not looking at Ren to see if he's flushing as well. Honestly, what an insufferable bastard. Akechi had honestly considered just tripping him as he made off with that tray, but refrained only because he's trying to act the part of the pleasant boy during this whole event.]

Anyway, be more careful. I won't always be around to help you out.

[And with that, Akechi clearly plans on taking his leave as well, back fully toward Ren with the intent on heading back into the group at large.]

(You know the John Travolta Gif in Pulp Fiction? That's literally Ren as he watches Blue, the Bringer of Chaos, just up and leave like this. His face is not returning to its normal color any time soon, so for one, the Void gains points for having the darkness upon them.)

Jury's still out.

(After all, this is the SECOND, you see, SECOND time Ren gets Blue out of trouble. He does like Blue, but is he uncomfortable with the awkward he left when he picked up his tray? Absolutely.

While Ren's brain was still in loading mode, he definitely doesn't want to be left alone in the Awkward, sorry Akechi, you're suffering with him.)

Stay for a bit.

[Ren, he was in mid-step to leave. Please let him leave, this won't get less awkward if he stays. But he does pause, though he doesn't look back over his shoulder yet.]

What for? I don't intend to waste the opportunity of having everyone gathered together like this.

(Time to go distract himself with literally anything to keep the gay repressed! Thanks, Blue, for all the lovely, just wonderful mental images you've created in Ren's head! He picks up the apron, waves a hand and gets back to the counter with a sigh.)

He inhales deeply through his nose to keep from scowling, taking his irritation and burying it deep, deep down so he can speak to the rest of the people here without letting on just how angry he is. Like, he's angry all the time, this is just more irritation on top of the constant anger.

So yeah, sorry Ren, he just leaves, weaving his way back into the crowd.]
