Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories.
🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party.
🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal.
🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone:
 "Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you."
"It's nice to see everyone. Since we're stuck here together, let's cooperate well."

[ it's a pretty quick agreement, mostly because lance (1) actually knows how this game works and (2) his life is so bizarre that he wins two truths and a lie pretty easily . . . in most circumstances. ]
And I will also take you up on your offer for you to go first, Miss -- ?
[ he should probably introduce himself, he thinks belatedly, but. whatever. ]

[ given with ease, a change she notices from how she hesitated in the first days. for the time the things she feared in giving it out are not a factor here. from the corner of her eye she notices the creature that looks at him and smiles toward it, figuring it must be one of the 'pokemon' mentioned. she'll have to ask about it later. ]
To start... I've never traveled to another planet, my big brother is a human, and I once fought in a war.

[ is that a first name, or a surname. he's not entirely sure, but it was what she gave, so she'll just call her that. and he settles back in his chair to watch her curiously, his eyes scanning her face to catch any trace of lies.
. . . it comes up with nothing. and lance tilts his head. ]
Fighting in a war is very specific, and not something most people would lie about, so I will call that a truth.
[ but the other two are a little more complicated. ahsoka is clearly not human (lance isn't entirely sure what she is, but human is not the word he would use to describe her). sometimes people are adopted, so her brother being human isn't entirely out of the question . . . but traveling to another planet somehow sounds a bit less outlandish.
all in all: he has a 50/50 shot. so: ]
I think I'll go with the brother as a lie . . . along with an ask about how traveling to other planets works, if that's true.

My brother is human. [ a beat, then- ] We're not blood related. Some bonds are stronger than that though.
[ the jedi wouldn't like their bonds to be described in familial terms. oh well. ]
As for how you travel - you get on a ship, and it takes you there. Hyperspace technology lets you travel from Point A to B in a matter of hours.

I would call that three truths, then, instead of two truths and a lie.
[ because indeed, some bonds are stronger than that, and that part is way more important than whatever blood relations you may have. but it's a clever nuance, and so lance settles back in his chair, expression shifting to somewhat thoughtful. ]
I suppose that makes it my turn, then.
[ coming up with a lie about himself is actually pretty difficult, but he thinks he has one! the point of this game is to come up with a lie that could sound like the truth, so . . . ]
I grew up in the mountains, my favorite food is cake, and I have no siblings.
[ those are three pretty innocuous statements that could all be true, right? right. ]

[ they're all fairly mundane things, and so any could be true or any could be a lie. she studies him quietly as she ponders, her eyes darting for a moment to his pokemon friend, wondering. ]
I think the mountains is true. Not the best place to raise a kid, but not impossible. If that's true, I imagine you wouldn't be able to have a big family up there. [ she crosses her arms, eyebrows raising up a little. ] You don't strike me as a guy with a sweet tooth, so I'll say the cake is a lie.

I grew up in a small village named Blackthorn, in the peaks of the mountains, by the Ice Paths. It's very remote, and has a low population . . . I do have a cousin that I consider a sibling, but I think she would probably disagree. [ oh, clair. ] But indeed, I am an only child. And I don't have much of a sweet tooth.
[ he does notice the glance toward dragonite, though, and he inclines his head toward the dragon-type, amused. ]
My friend, though, does enjoy cake.
[ and dragonite huffs to himself, as he edges closer, curious about the game, offering a friendly glance toward ahsoka before the big orange dragon-type, very clearly, rolls his eyes.
( dragonite might have gotten yelled at earlier for trying to take cake from the lemon cello church, so he might be a little miffed. ) ]

Aha, I guess it wouldn't be. [ unless cake can be found in the wild. if only. ] The closest thing I've ever seen to Dragonite... well, they wouldn't like cake. Or want pets. Are all Pokemon like this?

[ you wouldn't know it, looking at dragonite, who seems to be perfectly friendly and calm, amongst all of these people. he is a good boy. ]
He can also understand you; Pokemon are sapient.

And even if it didn't, encountering new things is healthy, and should be encouraged. I think they'll be just fine.
